Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Bump wow, due date day! Yey, you've done good gal!

Shell I'm so very sorry that you're having such a horrid time and feeling so out of sorts. Def follow girls advices and call your MW and do tell her about your concerns for your piles too as honestly NOTHING shocks theses ladies. Hugs Wink

GardenWorm · 09/11/2013 19:19

Oh Shell I wish I could give you a big hug xxxx

Please think about ringing the midwife, you dont want to go into labour so run down, if anything they may alleviate your worries about the piles. I know what you mean about talking to people in RL about certain things, after DD I had a 'bum hole tear' it lasted for weeks and was the most painful thing I have ever experienced (beats childbirth), so much so I struggled not to cry every time I needed a no. 2 (I can only describe it as like sh*ting glass). So embarrassing too but really they have seen and heard it all before haven't they?

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 09/11/2013 19:33

oh shell sweetie my heart goes out to you. i second what the girls have said, they've seen and heard it all before, and worse, so don't be embarrassed. i've had number two problems for so long and put off going to the docs for years and once i went i was so relieved. the doc didn't bat an eyelid. you will feel so much better if you call them and they will be sympathetic. and they will be able to give some good advice.

ChristineDaae · 09/11/2013 19:53

Oh Shell! Sad It sounds awful. Please do call the midwife and see if they cando something for you. 6 days is too long you need to get sorted so you're ready for labour

BumpKitty · 09/11/2013 20:24

shell i had piles with DD1 and nothing bad happened to them during the labour, and I had to be sewn up - the surgeon must have had to doge around them Shock. This time (and I'm only telling you this!) I have loads of varicose veins all over my labia - they are fucking grim! But all online advice says they will just stretch with child birth and disappear afterwards so nothing to worry about. Don't apologise for feeling shit - your hormones are gearing up and you have had a completely crap time with SPD - I have been a complete bitch to my DH and generally in an arsey mood with DD but I just can't help it and I will be nice (well normal) again ASAP. I will be delighted for you when you have your baby here - even if its before me Grin. xxx

andadietcoke · 09/11/2013 20:25

Oh Shell, that's shit Wink
As per all the others - they've seen and heard much worse. Get yourself to the GP and get some rehydration salts down you.

And the 14th would be a great birthday. Just saying...

andadietcoke · 09/11/2013 20:26

Bump yep, they'll go [nods knowingly]

jmf294 · 09/11/2013 20:54

Shell- hope you feel better soon. I would definitely get checked out as you need your energy and to be well hydrated for labour. Not surprised you are feeling sad.
Bump- congrats on your due date. Hope baby comes along soon.

Pentagon · 09/11/2013 22:23

oh shell chin up, hun - not long now! I second what everyone else has said: talk to your midwife about what's worrying you; and fingers crossed the baby makes an appearance before your due date which is very soon anyway!

bod no worries Smile; and I'm glad you like the name, thanks!

anda is the 14th your birthday? (it's my mum's)

IBelieveInPink · 10/11/2013 00:48

Oh shell sweet. Just checked in after the busiest day ever, and I feel positively rotten for having a whine now, as you are dealing with so much more! I hope you feel you can ask for help from midwife- I had non pregnancy related 'bum issues' before and held on for 3 weeks before finally going to get fixed. But it was such a relief when I did. Be brave, it will take a weight off your mind. Massive hugs xx

IBelieveInPink · 10/11/2013 00:50

And thank you all for being so lovely to me this morning when I was having a sad hormonal moment. I blame preggy hormones entirely, but you all made me smile, and helped me get through the day. Really appreciate it. emosh moment

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 10/11/2013 10:40

morning all, i really hope everyone is feeling a little bit better today. i meant to say yesterday for those of you on the home straight, have you thought about having reflexology? i've now heard from 3 friends and a holistic therapist about the wonders in the late stages of pregnancy. i've booked in for a session 2 days before my due date (2 friends had it and went into labour the following day). i know it's maybe not for everyone, but if anything it is a nice relaxing treatment and if it works in how i want it to then happy days :)

my friends are organising a pre baby fun day for me today at my mums house (not i repeat not a baby shower). i've told them i want no presents or anything like that and hopefully it'll just be tea and cake and a fun catch up with some girls. who knows though! i feel a bit ungrateful as i'm a bit tired to get dressed nicely for it (and pretty much nothing nice fits) but it could be the last chance for ages that we get a catch up

bump - i also am a numbers freak - my cousins little boy was born this day last year 10/11/12. i was secretly hoping i'd go over but then realised there wasn't a 31 in november (31/11/13)!! fingers crossed your wee one makes an appearance soon :)

shell i hope you are ok this morning and hope you got the courage to call the midwife. you need to be mentally prepared for the little ones arrival and hopefully you can get your wee bum sorted so you can concentrate on what's to come xxxx

sending you a big hug too pink, i cried last night for totally no reason other than i couldn't get comfy on the settee and no one cared!

Pixielady83 · 10/11/2013 10:45

ibip and shell so sorry to hear you're both feeling horrible. Can only echo what others have said, it does become a distant memory as soon as they arrive. Doesn't make it any easier at the time though. shell hope you get some good advice/treatment from your mw so you can recover before labour.

DD was ill last night which resulted in me lifting her, which I've avoided for ages because of hip/pelvic probs. Afterwards when I got into bed I had a horrible sudden pain all up my groin which made me feel sick and reminded me of how bad SPD can be. That kind of thing was the precursor to my hips and pelvis entirely giving way last time Sad DH is making me stay in bed today and looking at diary I think I can work from home and avoid any walking til Weds. Do you think that will help? It all happened so quickly last time, one day I had twinges and the next I couldn't walk, I don't feel ready for that yet, only 24 wks.

Sorry to moan Sad just worried about ending up on crutches soon.

shellsocks · 10/11/2013 12:51

Thanks again everyone, feeling a lot better today (didn't wake up to go the loo once last night and DS slept till 8.30 Grin) and not had any dodgy toilet episodes yet so really hoping whatever it was is on it's way out! I'm seeing MW tomorrow so will tell her all about it and see what she can suggest abt the piles (surely not having diarrhoea will improve that situation tho?!) Really hoping she can do a sweep and set things off Smile

Sorry to hear abt all the issues you have all had in that department too, it really sucks especially before/after child birth as if we don't have enough to cope with!

Happy birthday for 14th anda incas I am otherwise engaged on the day Wink And your first as a mummy, enjoy Smile

Hope you're feeling better today pink any signs of baby? And you bump? Smile

Enjoy your day janie sounds lovely Smile

pixie the more you can rest the better, it's horrible knowing you can feel it coming on I really feel for you Hmm We put measures (help with DS, DH doing the food shop etc.) into place at 9w this time as soon as I felt it coming on and it has been really tough but I am a lot better than I would of been if id carried on till it crippled me...the best thing I can suggest is start wearing the support belt in bed, it was the thing that 'improved' things for me the most. Big hugs xxx

andadietcoke · 10/11/2013 16:07

Thanks shell, fingers crossed you'll be very busy by then!

pentagon it is. And Prince Charles's! When I was little I used to hope he'd have a birthday party for everyone who had the same birthday as him when he was king and I'd get to go to the palace and meet Prince William and get to be a princess live happily ever after

IBelieveInPink · 10/11/2013 21:37

Oh my goodness, my hormones can't handle the John Lewis advert! Waaaaaaah!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/11/2013 22:08

I hope all of you 'ripe' ladies are comfortable and getting there. I remember how horrible the last few weeks are.
I am having hip trouble today. I've been sitting/standing in the cold all day. When required to move, its almost like I have no forward motion in them at all! Sad Probably not helped by having to change a flat tyre on my work van at 11.30 last night in the pissing down rain! Confused
Im finding my job a bit of a struggle now it's getting cold and my bump is getting in the way...

BlackholesAndRevelations · 10/11/2013 22:46

Sounds tough, saggy. Can you go on leave soon?! How many weeks are you now?

Bodicea · 11/11/2013 03:55

Pink me too. How can a cartoon bear do this to me!?

Bodicea · 11/11/2013 03:57

Saggy kudos for changing the tyre. I wouldn't know where to begin.

shellsocks · 11/11/2013 08:18

I cried at that pink watching x-factor on sat Blush

Kudos saggy for changing a tyre Grin

Sweep today hope she can do it, come on cervix be favourable Wink (whatever that means???!)

Urgh - still here. Really bad lower back pain all last night but I think it's the extra weight rather than anything exciting, I certainly don't want to labour in my back.

katatonic what a healthy breakfast - it puts my peanut butter and toast to shame Grin maybe I'm making the baby too comfy!

Right I think I'm being dim - I don't get the JL advert. Admittedly I have only seen it once and I had DD saying 'mummy, why is the bear sad? mummy, mummy what's wrong with the bear? blah blah blah'. Maybe I'll youtube it.

Good luck with the sweep shell :)
