Ok so I'm 36+5 - back pain all day on and off but I've been cleaning so thought it was because of that, had a horrible sleep last night seemed to be in a bit of pain... Never thought anything of it though Grin

Anyway my mother comes to mine for take away, DP is out meeting friends, I stand up to go make the cuppas and I feel wet... Go to the bathroom to investigate, pants are wet and so is my jeans, completely clear, and doesn't smell... Called the midwife, she said to put a pad on lay on my left side, and stand up in an hour, then if it is my waters I should experience a "gush" (is this true) and if I do get this gush, I've to go up to determine weather I am in labour or not...

What do you ladies think? Is it my waters? I honestly didn't pee myself Grin

I suppose I'm just a bit nervous that they say it's not my waters and don't check me out, when it could be?

Advice please xx

Sounds like you might be getting there albeit slowly, hope its not too much longer for you and you can potter about today to take your mind off the twinges.

GreenGiant3 · 12/10/2013 12:52

So got back to sleep at 9 till 10.30 they seemed to have had tailed off, by 11.30 they were back, still mild back achey pain, went in a warm bath, seemed to have brought them on more, ouchh

I really hope this is it, I will be upset if it's a false call... No more waters, I don't think.. Xx

Live birth thread, A-WHOOHOO!

Green Can you pretty please have the baby at home?

GreenGiant3 · 12/10/2013 14:59

Hot-cross - why would you ask that? Smileare you having a home birth? I plan on hospital birth lol

I'm in pain still, it's manageable, but it's not becoming more and more yet... Could I be experiencing BH?? I hope not, but this has been since 4am and I'm still not screaming in pain and it's still in my lower back, dull, horrible pain right across the bottom of my back, do BH last this long? I'm making myself worry that it's not the real thing, because I'm not progressing as quick as I would have wanted Sad pregnancy is such a massive waiting game!!Grin

Xx

Aww I'm the opposite to you green my labours are so fast like 3 hours start to finish and I always envy people who's were longer because mine are all panicked and rushing to get to hospital, watching this thread is starting to make me see the down side of long ones too. Hope things speed up soon for you Smile x

GreenGiant3 · 12/10/2013 15:17

Teri it's just crappy as you don't know for sure if this is actually it, because it's SO slow... or just BH/Back Pain etc HmmSad DP thinks it isn't it, "surly not yet"Grin lol but I'm hoping it is, nothing worse than waiting thinking this is it, to be let down! 3hours, wow that must have been scary, ShockThanksThanksThanksxx

GreenGiant3 · 13/10/2013 00:30

Hi ladies sorry to disappoint, still no sign of baby!! Contractions have came to a halt for past few hours which has made me terribly upset Sad I'm so gutted!!

What's the chances of them restarting soon? Or was this fake labor? BlushSad

OP posts:
NomDeClavier · 13/10/2013 00:42

DS was OP and early labour was exactly as you describe. Lots of lower back pain and stop/start with very little dilation. Then he spun round and everything went much faster. And then he spun back but by that time it was definitely labour and my body had cottoned on to what to do.

GreenGiant3 · 13/10/2013 01:26

Nom, how long did your stop/start last? How long between stopping did it restart, I hope I'm similar, I hope to god my body doesn't decide to hold off another week ConfusedSad I geared myself up too xx
