Hello again - another shiny new thread for the batsh*t crazy women going through the stress and emotional rollercoaster that is being pregnant after a miscarriage.

Fingers crossed for lots of happy scans and boring pregnancies.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Tea it's normal. What number is this for you? I was 1cm throughout dd2's pregnancy and the great news is I went from there to 7cm without even knowing I was labour. Imagine a disposable piping bag (I'm a cake decorator so my go to for stuff!) if you put very stiff icing in and squeeze it out, the hole expands and stretches sometimes it even tears. Although it does it's best to go bak to normal and you can patch it up, the hole never fully goes back to normal. It will always be a little stretched. It's the same with your fanjo and cervix, it's never the same post dc as it was pre dc.

Hi everyone! Welcome medusa, penguin and yikes - congratulations on your pregnancies. Fod and blackberry are you both feeling better after scares end of last wk? Hope so.

Saggy how did you get on with mw? Hope it went ok. Good luck to scan ladies this week.

Janie I hope your little cat comes back soon :(

We had a very pleasant break away at the wkd and I got through my previous due date without trauma just sadness. So grateful to be pregnant for it.

Nothing else to report apart from the weeks dragging a bit now. 18 wks and feels like it will be a long time before work finishes. Looking forward to 20wk scan (hows that for posifrickingtivity!) at least I'll be half way then.

BirdsDoIt · 30/09/2013 18:39

Oh god beebies this is DC1 for me and I'm not sure I like the sound of that Confused Smile

janie I really really hope your cat strolls in tonight safe and sound if he hasn't already x

fod hope you're feeling better. It did make me laugh when someone pointed out you'd had takeaway on Saturday night - do you think we might know too much about each other on this thread?!

kat is your scan tomorrow? Keeping everything crossed for you.

Not much to report here. Such an age to wait now until next mw appt at beg November and 22 week scan end November. Lovely to be able to tell friends at last but having told work at the end of last week I'm finding it a bit strange that my pregnancy came up as a topic of conversation a couple of times today - I've got so used to work being a baby chat free zone and I think I kind of preferred it like that! Started my first baby knitting project this weekend to occupy myself...have about 5 baby knitting books so that should help pass the time before November...

TeaAndANatter · 30/09/2013 19:12

Thanks cbeebies, I kind of know I'm being barking. Preg no. 4, baby (hopefully) no. 3.

Birds loving the idea of your baby knitting project. If you could knit me a baby, it might be simpler than this pregnancy lark. Can I have it in any colour, too? Grin

Oh kat not long to wait! And you've had quite a few good earlier scans, haven't you? I think it's looking promising!

Ha ha tea if I only could knit a baby. Based on my success with a hat so far it might end up with slightly wonky dimensions (and also, stripy Smile)

Tomkat79 · 30/09/2013 20:30

Keeping everything crossed for you tomoro kat, hope you can get some sleep tonight.

Yeah tea knit me one too Wink

Hahaaaa yes! Your all a bunch of stalking freaks! No more sickness but this 2nd trimester is pants! Hardly any symptoms, no movements other than poor skin no signs of pregnancy..... I'm not a fan ;)

Thanks for the pep talk though ladies

Hope everyone gassy, gusset fumbling or otherwise is well ;)

shellsocks · 30/09/2013 21:44

Hi everyone Smile

fod I second all the previous advice, I had a bug earlier in this pregnancy which was suspected appendicitis I was in that much pain with the stomach cramps it was v scary as like you I wondered how the baby could cope with all that going on - but they are not affected at all so try not to worry, it's just v important you don't get dehydrated as that can affect the baby x

Good luck tomorrow kat sorry you have to wait till after work tho nightmare!

I had MW today and she couldn't find the heart beat, what a heart in the mouth moment that was Sad all fine tho once found thank god Smile She also told me that my hospital has had improvements (and it was already fantastic) and they now have more pools and a birthing chair (it was on OBEM and has the rope from the ceiling to hold on to) So that's made me feel good and like its all a bit real, yikes Grin

omri · 30/09/2013 21:49

Hi all - just checking in after the weekend.
Welcome all the newbies!

Watching the midwives- it is impossible for me to watch and not cry. Sitting here sobbing my heart out at the babies coming out.

BlackberryandNettle · 30/09/2013 21:49

Just popping on to say hi to everyone - fod hope you're feeling better - I am already wondering how people cope with the long wait from 12 to 20 week scan, with no reassurance in between! When is your next scan?

katatonic - can't wait for the scan tmrw, especially after my friday stress, fingers crossed for a good scan and results for us both.

Birds and pixie thanks, am feeling a lot better, no more yellow discharge or blood. Doctor would not swab (am worried about bacterial vaginosis as don't think I have thrush) but am planning to ask the midwife her opinion on weds after scan and ask fmc at scan tmrw!

Well. I turned up at the local MLU for my antenatal. It turns out that some bloody inconsiderate woman was in labour and there was no one to see me! Wink Grin
So Im rebooked for wednesday. I popped into the GP instead to talk about possibly being iron deficient. She checked my hands and said I dont look anaemic, but took blood anyway. Everything else is ok, BP etc, and she thinks I might be suffering feom anxiety. no shit sherlock Grin
If the bloods come back normal, I need to take up yoga!Confused
I am not built for yoga! Blush

omri · 30/09/2013 22:02

Kat - omg did you see that girl Karly whose baby popped out when she was on her own supposed to be having a sleep as only 1cm?! Mental!!! That was amazing!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/09/2013 23:44

Ooh, I booked my flu jab today. anyone else having one?

fod27 · 01/10/2013 02:42

shellshock sounds as though you'll be booking into a dive star establishment... Sooo glad it's starting feel real ;)
Birds I now find it really uncomfortable talking about my pregnancy I think a lot of that is because in scared it's still tempting fate
kat is this the dating scan? For me this was my big one also.... Think it was mainly because that's when we discovered our MMC last time but you've have no symptoms and great scans so everything's looking great ;)
omri I cry at that too! Think it a mix if emotions - especially that feeling of "it could be me, I hope it's me, no one will love that baby more... Etc etc"
blackberry I have to wait until November!!! Grrr but in working my magic on DH for another private one in a couple of weeks just so settle my mind - good luck for yours tomorrow... What time is your appointment?
Hahaa saggy that "no shit Sherlock" coo menu was like listening to my religious nan swear! You do make me laugh! Are you getting any counselling?

fod27 · 01/10/2013 02:44

Tomkat79 · 01/10/2013 03:03

IBelieveInPink · 01/10/2013 03:09
