Hello again - another shiny new thread for the batsh*t crazy women going through the stress and emotional rollercoaster that is being pregnant after a miscarriage.

Fingers crossed for lots of happy scans and boring pregnancies.

Welcome to the thread medusa. Everything crossed for you. Sounds like you deserve a break.

How far along will you be on wed beebies?

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 29/09/2013 10:42

Hopefully around 8ish weeks

shellsocks · 29/09/2013 11:27

yikes I had a private reassurance scan at 8w which showed what they called a bruise which may bleed, they said not to worry etc. but I did! No blood came tho and it was gone by my 12w scan Smile

Penguinita · 29/09/2013 11:56

Hi medusa, thanks so much for that reassurance! it makes me feel much better. I'm 5+1 today, so almost exactly the same as you were. Really hope it is third time lucky for you. Thanks

And cbeebies, I consider myself well and truly told (you are very strict!) Grin. You are totally right, I need to break my 5 month long stick peeing addiction and just remember "today I am pregnant". I'm going to get all my sticks and monitors and thermometers and stuff them down the back of my underwear drawer!

BirdsDoIt · 29/09/2013 12:37

Hello all, just catching up on all the chat over the weekend! Welcome to the newbies and fingers crossed for your scan on Wednesday medusa.

blackberry how are you doing? Not long until your scan and also kat's now!

kat yes we came over from the ttc thread about the same time - you a little bit later because you had your rather nightmarish start...think kjh came over about the same time?

YikesHereWeGo · 29/09/2013 13:33

Thank you cbeebies and shell - good to know yours cleared up by itself shell; that's what I'm hoping for too :-)

ThePFJ · 29/09/2013 19:22

Still pregnant! 7+6 today.... hugs xxxxxx

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 29/09/2013 20:13

hello to all the new ladies miss and yikes (sorry if i've missed anyone)! congrats on getting here yay! :) you're in a good place for handholding and support as and when you need it :)

hope that your spotting worries have passed fod and blackberry?

hope you've all had a good weekend, my wee cat is still missing and i'm terribly upset, even dh cried about him last night :( he really is part of the family and our house just isn't the same without him :( keep bursting into tears, dreading work tomorrow as loads of stressful stuff to do and i bet i'll be in tears by about 10am

i came across this website earlier for anyone that can't make it to pregnancy yoga classes...i noticed a friend 'liked' it on facebook so thought it was worth a nosey? pregnancy yoga seems like an online class which you can do at your convenience

MissMedusa · 29/09/2013 21:42

Janie our little cat went missing on Thursday and just waltzed in yesterday as if nothing had happened so I can really emphasize. Last year she disappeared for 5 days and had us in pieces. They often get trapped in places. Have you tried all the neighbouring garages?

fod27 · 29/09/2013 22:03

Hi yikes I had exactly that! We honestly thought that we had mc again, and were devastated until we went to the epau and saw that all was ok. We were told that so long as the bleed was below the sack (which it was) that it shouldn't affect the baby.... Mine measured 1.5cm by 1.5cm (I also lost a lot of blood both during and post D n C and always wondered wether the two things were related) at my 12 week scan though the sonography looked for the bleed and told us it had gone. I am now 14+4 wks and as far as I'm aware all is still ok... I hope that gives you some peace, also try to remember that the chances of mc diminish once you have seen a heartbeat xxxx hope that helped xxxxx

fod27 · 30/09/2013 00:51

I'm feeling very strange, I was visiting family earlier and went really lightheaded and dizzy (I was sat down) this lasted for about 30 minutes, I became gassy through tags evening and my stools became softer... About 3 hour later I felt really ill and had to grab something nearby to vomit... I feel ok now but my MS has been gone for weeks and I'm sure that this isn't right ;(

Angloamerican · 30/09/2013 01:37

fod27 It could be something as minor as a tummy bug. Don't sweat the small stuff - ha, if only it were that easy. See how you feel in the morning.

fod27 · 30/09/2013 01:40

Could that harm the baby though? X thanks for your swift reply

WhatWillSantaBring · 30/09/2013 09:12

No, fod - remember that your baby is nature's finest parasite and you can be as sick as a pig without it harming your baby. If you've been gassy and a bit squitty it sounds like a bit of a bug - best get it out of your system and your baby will be fine.

janie sorry about your cat - pets are 100% part of the family and when they go missing it is heartbreaking. Second what medusa said - cats are really good at getting shut in garages and sheds (and even empty houses - a friends cat got stuck in a house for a week once when the owners went on holiday Sad He was a bit thin but survived on loo water.

Good luck Kat. The waiting is a killer!

im off to see the MW this afternoon. Cant wait to see what she has to say! Ill be back to report any small pearls of wisdom! Wink

Pentagon · 30/09/2013 10:31

janie I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I can imagine how upsetting it is, I hope he returns soon.

Welcome and congratulations yikes & medusa. Fingers crossed everything goes well this time for both of you!

penguin clearblue isn't that sensitive, please don't spend your money on another one, better wait and see what the EPAU says

fod didn't you have a takeaway on Saturday night? Maybe something upset your digestive system? I had something similar during early pregnancy with DD after having Indian takeaway (a bit milder than what you had but I certainly felt strange) - or as already suggested, it could be a tummy bug. Hope you're feeling better.

kat I'm sure it will be fine tomorrow but the wait is horrible, I know!

SnotMyProblem · 30/09/2013 10:42

Hello Yikes and Medusa!

fod, what Santa said - sounds like a tummy bug, and that won't harm the baby. I've had some ropy times with my first (travelling round Malaysia and ate some not-very-nice fast food) and he stuck in there. I hope you're feeling better now.

SnotMyProblem · 30/09/2013 10:46

Gah, meant to add: I'm nine-and-a-bit weeks now, and I seem to already been filling out a bit. I'm not sure how, as Spud 1 and Spud 2 are only an inch long. It's probably too much Vimto and noodles (I seem to be living off hot squash and packet ramen at the moment). I've also got a weird heavy feeling in my pelvis, and have had odd twongy pains. I'm hoping it's just everything having a stretch in readiness!

Tomkat79 · 30/09/2013 12:49

snot I'm exactly the same. Have filled out all over but have a definite baby belly going on as it doesn't move if I breathe in! Pulled on a pair of maternity bottoms earlier and they were soo comfy. Im 9+4 but only have the one so definitely sure you'll be showing with double trouble ;-)

I also stretched in bed this morning and thought my abdo was going to snap, it really pulled. I have to make sure I don't get up to quickly either as it really twangs.

WhatWillSantaBring · 30/09/2013 13:43

Yeah - snot and tom - I was looking definitely pregnant by 8 10 weeks so its not unusual. Its water retention/bloating and the increase in the size of your uterus - I don't think the size of the baby makes much difference!

fod27 · 30/09/2013 15:17

Are you taking toms Swan?

ThePFJ · 30/09/2013 16:09

Awesome burpage Swan Grin I can't remember a good remedy though... other than getting DP to give you a good back patting session from top to bottom.... sympathy...

TeaAndANatter · 30/09/2013 16:13

Hi all, welcome to new folk.

Swan, does warm as you can manage water with masses of sugar dissolved in do anything? Helps bring all the gas together for me, or at least it did with the last two babies.

My current worry of the week is the my cervix seems to be 1cm dilated, and I'm now worrying (based on nothing at all) that I have a useless cervix and it'll all go wrong. I'm not sure if it's:
a. Just the end of the cervix, as I'm no way going to guddle further up.
b. Normal 3rd (4th) PG wear and tear, and they're a bit less 'closed'.
c. That maybe I bathed away the usual amount of CM which disguises the opening, and just makes it feel more of a dip, and perhaps the CM has filled it back up since I checked (don't want to go on up there again in case guddling does anything bad).

No cramps, no bleeding, I know what the response will be (stop worrying, keep your hands out your gusset, go eat something), but I seem to be finding something new to freak out about fortnightly. FFS. This thread keeps me sane. Thanks everyone. If I get to the end, I'm tempted to do a thread vote on the name as a tribute to the support of the group. From a list I type up, I mean, you're not calling my baby zebedee or something Grin
