Hello again - another shiny new thread for the batsh*t crazy women going through the stress and emotional rollercoaster that is being pregnant after a miscarriage.

Fingers crossed for lots of happy scans and boring pregnancies.

I'm so sorry PFJ Take care of yourself

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 08/10/2013 18:35

ThePFJ I am so so sorry. As penguin says it's just not fair. Take care of yourself and make sure dp looks after you xx

Pixie dd1 turns 3 in a couple of weeks. She kept jumping on me so all I old her she needed to help look after mummy because there was a baby in my tummy. I explained that it was very very small and needed to be looked after for a very long time while it grew, but hopefully it will grow big and strong and one day it will come and live with us.
She seems fine with it (but then she does have a little sister) and every now and then she asks if mummy's baby is ok. She strokes my tummy and says 'I hope you grow big and strong' [cry] we told her early because I was worried about them jumping on me so muh and decided I anything went wrong we could explain that the baby was gone now, we are really sad but it stopped growing and maybe one day we can have another one to grow and look after.
Pretty twee but it seems to have worked!

MissMedusa · 08/10/2013 18:48

Dear PFJ I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so unfair, 9 weeks is such a long time to bond, and then to have it taken away, it's just so unfair. Katatonic I think we can all understand how you feel, we're all afraid to bond and to have our hearts broken as if that will make a loss easier. Maybe it does, I don't know, I've never managed not to fall in love with my babies, no matter how hard I tried.

Thanks for the advice on the right-sided ovary pains penguin, I also suspect a cyst, which, strangely, wouldn't be all bad news for me as I thought my right ovary wasn't working at all (due to a big, hairy dermoid cyst I had removed last year). At least it would mean something is happening. Luckily, due to my past mc's, I get weekly scans so I'm due for another tomorrow so nervous, of course, that things have all gone wrong in the past week.

GuffSmuggler · 08/10/2013 20:07

baking is great news everything looks as it should. It will be the longest wait of your life until the next scan, but we're here to get you through it somehow!

pixie I've been trying to tell DS who's just over 2 and half and he has no interest/idea! I would just keep it casual and mention it without it being a big deal. Not sure how he will react when he realises what is going on!

Welcome rara

Tomkat79 · 08/10/2013 20:26

Aww pfj so sorry. How shit.

Glad all ok at your scan baking. Welcome rara great to see you here.

Pride of Britain awards....hormones in full swing. Blub.

Bodicea · 08/10/2013 21:11

So sorry pjf. It really is unfair. I hope that you will be back here very soon xxxxxxx

Penguinita · 08/10/2013 21:26

Hi rara, and congrats to tins and fod for your good news today. How early on can they see a heartbeat on a scan? I'm 6+3 today.

A lady in my team told me she is pregnant today, she is about four weeks ahead of me. A large part of me is very happy for her and it will be lovely to have a pg buddy if all goes well, but I just have this cold dread in the pit of my stomach in case something goes wrong for either of us. We'll have to see each other every day. God, I hate being so full of doom and seeing the worst in every situation...

MeDoingMyThing · 08/10/2013 21:38

@Penguinita I know exactly what you mean. We have friends who got married this year and I am almost sure are trying. I almost want to get this pregnant out of the way before he gets pregnant. I don't want to have conversations about it incase by some crazy jinx it makes something go wrong for one of us. Ridiculous isn't it!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 08/10/2013 22:03

Penguin a heartbeat forms somewhere between 6+2 and 7 weeks. Sorry I'm lost with all the scans did you have one today?

Chocolateteabag · 08/10/2013 22:11

Hello all - sorry I've been MIA for a while - a week's holiday and then a week to catch up on everything I've missed.

Hello to Rara & me and anyone else I've missed.
Very sorry to hear your sad news PFJ, it's really shit

Great news on your scan Baking and really happy to see you on the thread

I've moved my maternity leave to start at the end of the month (34 weeks) which means I've more work to get done before I go but should then have more MN time in November!

Penguinita · 08/10/2013 22:18

No scan for me yet cbeebies, I just saw that tins was too early for a heartbeat and was wondering if I would be too.

I do have my booking appt on Friday though, all the websites say it should be from 8 weeks on, I'll be 6+6. I hope they don't just send me home again!

Lieslvontrapp · 08/10/2013 22:18

PFJ so sorry that this has happened to you again. Hope the surgery goes smoothly and you are back with us soon.

Congrats on the good scan tins and the good 16 wk appointment fod!

Welcome newbies and good luck to those also having scans this week.

BumpKitty · 08/10/2013 22:44

So sorry pfj look after yourself xxx

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 08/10/2013 23:09

Pjf I'm so sorry to read your sad news, really hope you're back soon. Look after yourself xxx Thanks

Tins glad your appointment went well, fx for next one too xx

Hi rara, congrats on your bfp xx

Oh and I got my cat back tonight SmileSmile he managed to get 2 miles away, no idea how, I reckon he must've jumped in a van or something as there are too many mega main roads. A lovely couple saw one of our 'lost cat' posters in the leisure centre and realised it was him and we went to get him!! Can't believe it!! He's now out for the count on his fave cushion. I burst into crazy tears of joy!! Xx

fod27 · 08/10/2013 23:40

pjf I'm so so sorry I just realises I missed your post! I really hope your ok and that you have support around you, I have every faith that you'll be back soon

They said I need to take it easy and drink more fluids, I get my DS results in 2 weeks... Really scared about that one! I was told they could see a heartbeat at 8 weeks.... Not sure how true that is xxx

Hope everyone is doing well

ThePFJ · 08/10/2013 23:49

We saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks. If that's any help fod

Thanks again girls... this has been quite a day. xxxxx

YikesHereWeGo · 09/10/2013 06:11

OMG Janie - that is the BEST news!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back big cat. xxxx

Bakingtins · 09/10/2013 07:22

Janie Grin so pleased he is home!

I was told they normally expect to see a HB in a 6-7wk foetus, which is why unless there's a problem and they need to rule out ectopic they usually don't scan until then. 5 weeks was the earliest she said she'd expect to be able to confirm sac was in the right place so I could start my clexane.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 09/10/2013 07:22

PFJ- you seem such an amazingly positive person. How you can go through everything you've been through and still post on here and be so friendly is beyond me; you're a better person than I am.

You deserve to come back on here so so much, and I wish you all the very best of luck xxx

RaRa1988 · 09/10/2013 07:25

Jane: Glad you've got your cat back Grin. One of mine disappeared once and it was one of the worst times of my life; I was beside myself. Glad yours is home safe and well.

Pixielady83 · 09/10/2013 07:41

janie so pleased your cat is back! hooray! Smile
choc that's exciting to be starting mat leave early. I'm hoping to finish at 34wks but they haven't even asked yet, my job share partner is also on mat leave and they're not covering us so think they're trying to pretend its not happening at the moment!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 09/10/2013 07:49

Oh yes glad the cat is back too! One of my childhood cats disappeared for five days, not long after we had moved house. We were so happy he came back, but then a few years later we moved again, mum's friend left the door open and he disappeared never to be seen again Sad he was the best cat we ever had! Sad

I'm not starting mat leave til 36 weeks! Eek hope I can last that long!

TeaAndANatter · 09/10/2013 08:02

PFJ, I'm so terribly sorry. I do hope that things are bearable for you over the next while. Thinking of you.

Janie, fabulous cat news! Very pleased for you both.

I have my 12 (and a half) week scan at 11.30am. Feel sick. Didn't sleep.

IBelieveInPink · 09/10/2013 08:04

Oh Janie I'm so chuffed your kitty is home. Honestly welled up this morning at that! So, so pleased :)

Jels of all this talk of Mat leave. I'm not going off until 38 weeks. Am already shattered!
Woke up in the night with a massive contraction! Little early still, so thank goodness I only had a couple more little ones then all stopped. But made me realise how not ready we are yet.... Eek!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 09/10/2013 08:22
