Green surprise that's awful they sent y ou home don't spend the night rocking just go back to hospital.
My scan is fine Head is down. I feel so down though what's the matter with me? Shouldn't I be all excited about this new baby instead I just feel oh God I've got to go through Labour and I've no energy and then I have to look after a baby and a toddler and I'll be knackered! That's a terrible attitude to have!! Is it normal for hormones to play up at thus time? Somebody tell me to get a grip. What I'd really like is to go off somewhere in my own and give birth I've not seen any friends don't want to.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 11/10/2013 19:49

green I feel for you, coping with labour at home is no fun. Got to hospital if it gets too painful.

sweetie sorry you are so exhausted.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 11/10/2013 19:52

abs hi I'm having a boy too. I could go another 4 weeks (really hope not).

I'm getting very waddly and uncomfortable. A 70+ year old offered to take my trolley back into Tescos yesterday and I let him Blush he was way more agile than me. Such a nice chap.

AbsFun · 12/10/2013 13:23

Whenshewasbad I hope you're not either! I have been eating chili sauces non stop trying to get this baby to move out but he just seems so cozy in there! Some lady told me to sit down the other day at tesco! Imagine haha I just wanted to I home and cry!! I know exactly how you feel, let's hope something happens soon for both of us!

star87 · 12/10/2013 13:46

Afternoon all! Any new from green? I hope things moved alomg quickly for her.

I am rocking on my ball as I type with a mug of rasperry leaf tea... been eating spicy pepperami and am planning a hot cuery for tea. The through of another 3 weeks of this makes me want to scream!!!

I love my oh and family to bits but if my mum rings me one more time to ask how I am then I may lose it with her. Rant over.

GreenSunrise · 12/10/2013 16:47

Been back into hospital today for monitoring but got sent home again as there are no beds on labour ward and so they can't induce me, I have lot to see if they have space tomorrow. Contractions are getting more painful but are really erratic, last night they were overwhelming 5 mins but only lasting for 30 seconds if I kept walking up and down the stairs or every 10 mins lasting about a min if I just sat on the sofa. I almost reached the point of telling D H to take me back to hospital but then they eased off just after midnight to overwhelming 30 mins so I got a little bit of sleep. I just wish these contractions would either do something productive or just stop!

GreenSunrise · 12/10/2013 16:47

Every not overwhelming although at times they were that too!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 12/10/2013 18:23

Oh green that sounds annoying. Hope things speed up for you naturally.

Donna1989 · 12/10/2013 18:25

hi ladies new to mumsnet and would just like abit of advice.. I'm 38+2 and today has been like any other day but just more intense had back ache since this morning that I can cope with and also a shooting pain every so often to my left side above my hip just were baby would lay id say this has gone on all day and been having irregular tightnings too which have become more intense to were I feel breathless, also ive felt baby move but just not as much, I'm just wondering wat ud think it could be or if you've had this too?? I lost my plug the 29th of last month and still loosing tiny bits also had 2 bowel movements so I knw am not constipated lol xxxSmile

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 13/10/2013 08:25

Hi donna I don't really have much advice just wanted to say hello. With my first dc I had loads of braxton hicks that got stronger towards the end. I thought she was moving less but it was just that my bump was so hard with the braxton hicks I couldn't feel the movement.

Yours could be the same, if there is a lot less movement I would get in touch with your midwife / midwife unit. Best to be careful with these sort of things.

Donna1989 · 13/10/2013 08:41

Smile morning!! Grin hanks for your reply I think maybe that's wat it is, well not long now my lil bean has got till Tuesday to decide if she is coming or not lol I'll be getting my induction date then as they don't want me going over 40 hope ur gd xx

GreenSunrise · 13/10/2013 11:57

Hi all. Baby girl born this morning at 3.13 by c section after 46 hrs of contractions. 7lb5, feeding and sleeping well already :-)

Went back into hospital last night when contractions suddenly got to every 3 mins and were very very painful. I was only 2cm but they admitted me given the pain I was in and the fact that they had wanted to induce me today anyway. I got some diamorphine which was great, made me feel really drunk but it slowed down contractions so I also got the induction drip. After 4 hours baby's heartbeat was dropping a bit during contractions but the doctors couldn't check her oxygen levels because I wasn't dilated enough for them to get a sample of blood from her head so we all decided to go for a c section to be on the safe side.

So I didn't manage to get my vbac but I am happy that we did the right thing and this was a much better experience than when I had D S so am very happy. I was very grateful for the contractions to stop by that point, she was back to back and I had to stay on the add for monitoring and the induction drip so they were getting very painful even with the drugs and gas and air.

Sending good, speedy labour vibes to everyone helping and thanks for your supportive comments on this thread over the past few days :-)

Donna1989 · 13/10/2013 13:29

Grin Smile congrats hun xxxx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 13/10/2013 14:36

That's great news green 46 hours of contracti

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 13/10/2013 14:37

Contractions sound horrible you must have been a bit pissed of to be only 2cm. It's great that she's feeding well.

sillyoldfool · 13/10/2013 16:51

Congratulations Green!

I'm still here, 5 days over now, the sick bug seems to have passed us by, DD1 hasn't been sick since thursday and no one else has had it, so hopefully we're free of that.
two friends who were due after me had their babies last night though, it's not fair!

sweetiepie1979 · 13/10/2013 22:56

Congratulations green! That's wonderful, you did very well to cope with that. I'm still waiting still getting bh mostly in back. Nothing else. Weighed myself today I'veput in 3 sstone eeek! And I'm small so you can see it!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 14/10/2013 18:25

silly well done for avoiding the sickness bug, sorry your friends are jumping the queue and having babies before you - how rude Grin

sweetie stay away from the scales, they only bring pain.

Midwife app today and she says baby is 3/5 engaged so things are moving in the right direction.

Donna1989 · 14/10/2013 21:59

Oh that's good Donna well done! How are you now? I'm having lots of twinges and tightening round back. Today I had another loss of plug followed by some sharp cramps and thought great this is it but now lying in bed with unhappy toddler everything has stopped
And dosent feel
Like it's going to happen tonight. Tomorrow I am
Buying clary sage that helped with
Dd1.

Donna1989 · 15/10/2013 08:51

Donna1989 · 15/10/2013 11:59

sweetiepie1979 · 15/10/2013 14:15

Oh God just waiting on these babies is enough to give you mental health problems! Up you can stay a little bit upbeat I read the clary sage oil I'm using to bring on contractions is a mood enhancer so I'll be upbringing my tea soon, I feel like such a burden to my husband! X
