Hi babytalk, hope things get started for you quickly! Last time my show appeared out of nowhere, no cramps or anything. So you never know, things may still be progressing nicely for you.

Bummy, I've been taking calcium carbonate chewable tablets everyday for weeks now. The worse is waking up in the middle of the night with sick in your mouth (sorry tmi!).

Again nothing progressing here. My pains seem to stop during the night, or I sleep through them. I've had about 10 already this morning. Keeping positive that each cramp is dilating my cervix (hopefully).

Hope everyone else is well.

Babytalkobsession · 08/11/2013 10:28

Happy due date Fakebook! Hope things start to speed up for you today. You're right, every cramp is definitely a positive. My fingers are crossed for everyone x

BummyMummy77 · 08/11/2013 10:31

Ug. Horrible tummy pains all night. And some hammering in the vjay. Moves to my back/bum occasionally and I just feel like I need to do the world's biggest poo.

It's either the start of labour or I'm constipated but considering I had diarrhoea yesterday cant see how that's possible.

Bloody midwife has gone away for the weekend too. :(

Fakebook · 08/11/2013 11:36

Thanks Babytalk!

Bummy, that sounds like the start! Good luck! Let us know how things are progressing!

BummyMummy77 · 08/11/2013 14:17

Hmm, managed to drop off to sleep and now - nothing.

Does having a baby just feel like you want to do a massive poo? Nobody told me that!

How are all you others doing? Any progress? Exciting isn't it? I was starting to think I'd have an Xmas baby!

DaleyBump · 08/11/2013 14:23

Can I join? 37 weeks tomorrow so earlier than a lot of you guys but I have an appointment with a consultant on Tuesday to discuss induction.

I've heard that Bummy Grin

Just came back from mw appointment. Feeling really miserable - it was cold, pouring rain, and I ended up waiting for a bus for over 20 minutes, being late for appointment (mw didn't mind at all though), and then waiting another 20+ minutes for a bus back with some drunkards at the bus stop...

Feel a bit better now that I had a cuppa and some choc digestives Grin

Also baby 1/5 engaged, which I know means nothing but that's some development! Also she said that it looks like it'is a long baby, so maybe a boy? Grin

NovemberAli · 08/11/2013 18:29

39+1 today so would like to join you lovely people on the countdown. Have already been fielding the texts re, 'Haven't you had that baby yet?!', I'm not even due yet, aargh!

DD (now 3yo) was 10 days over so may have a bit of a wait, think she doesn't really believe baby will ever arrive it has taken so long, starting to feel that way myself now. No signs yet either but sweep booked in for next Thurs and that seemed to get things going last time.

Sending dilating wishes to everyone Smile.

Fakebook · 08/11/2013 22:39

Yes when it gets to the pushing stage it does feel like doing a great big poo! But towards the end of pregnancy the baby's head pushes down and that can cause an urge to poo aswell. Grin.

Glad you feel better now CuteLittleToes. The rain was depressing today. It started as soon as I had to leave for the school run which was crap.

NovemberAli, I know what you mean. I don't even know that many people yet I'm receiving messages and calls asking me if I've popped yet. And everyone is so excited! I'm not!

Things have progressed nicely today. I've had my show a few hours ago and it's coming away in dribs and drabs. Yuck. I just cleaned the kitchen and mopped the floor for last minute cleaning! Phoned my sil to let her know. All systems go now. Might have a shower and squat a bit then sleep. Oh and I ordered these really cute flannelette swaddling blankets from Amazon that were supposed to arrive on the 12th but they came today! Must be a sign, baby has to be here by tomorrow. Or else.

CuteLittleToes · 09/11/2013 08:50

Ooh Fakebook how exciting! Any more overnight developments?

Fakebook · 09/11/2013 12:19

Unfortunately no :(. I'm still getting painful contractions but far apart. Squatting a lot today. I want this baby out by tonight.

BummyMummy77 · 09/11/2013 12:50

Bad babies! What the hell are they playing at? :(

GreenGiant3 · 09/11/2013 12:54

Been contracting since 10am seem to be getting a bit more regular/more intense now... Hopefully this is it and not ANOTHER false start, not getting my hopes up though!

Wish me luck ladies, hopefully this is it. Smile

Fakebook · 09/11/2013 15:51

Good luck GreenGiant! Hope you've had baby or are in full labour now!

Still getting painful contractions, slightly more regular now. I've found a new technique to minimise pain; I hold onto the back of a chair, slightly bent, and march on the spot. My DS is copying me by sitting on his football and squatting, it's making this whole process a bit more enjoyable and funny.

How is everyone else today?

Exciting ladies! Looks like it's happening, keep us updated if you can. :)

Sod all happening here.

NovemberAli · 09/11/2013 19:24

Ooh Greengiant and fakebook, sounds very promising - any further developments? Have had to rearrange facial originally booked for today to next Wed - surely that's tempting fate enough for baby to make early appearance!

GreenGiant3 · 09/11/2013 22:19

Still the same as when I last posted DC1 was 50+ hours so I'm thinking this little bambino is the same SadSadSad

Fakebook · 09/11/2013 23:11

Same here. I'm so pissed off. It's my third baby, why did everyone tell me it would happen quickly? Angry.

Going to sleep now.

StormBird · 09/11/2013 23:26

X

BummyMummy77 · 10/11/2013 00:48

Hi Storm.

I'm shitting myself, this baby is visibly (and can see on the scales) getting bigger EVERY DAY he stays in.

Fakebook and Giant, I'm sorry, I've got my fingers crossed for you.

My little toad is making NO signs of coming out. I'm starting to panic a bit, the last thing I want (can do) is a hospital trip. :(

DaleyBump · 10/11/2013 01:04

We've just got a new mattress. It's memory foam and I just CAN'T move when I lie on it because I'm the size of a small planet. I keep having to wake up DH to get him to push me off the bed so I can go and pee Blush

Thought I was leaking waters earlier but it seems to have stopped. Had a lot of crampy back pain too so really thought something was starting :(
