Oops; smart phone. ..not! Just as I was about to suggest we go home, things ramped up. A lot. Baby Rory born after two pushes in the birthing pool at 7.25. I don't want to sound smug as I was getting so frustrated at the wait. All I can say is, I had no inkling of labour at all; watched Downton Abbey as usual; had to force DH into dtd and less than 90 minutes later contractions had begun. Hang on in there all xx

Doris fantastic! Welcome to the world Rory! Right I'm having sex tonight( oh God slightly dreading it) also canceling my induction on Wednesday can't face it with Spd. I'll try and do it alone and see if they give me to next Monday maybe baby just not cooked certainly not ready anyway I'm now 11 days over.

yeeyyy congrats doris, and sweetie don't know were I got 3 wks from haha and probs be easyier as u want to wait till they ready like people say they come when they are ready, sure they can't stay in everyones tums foreva lol xx

Argh has anyone gone into labour without any signs in advance? Due date is tomorrow and so far no sign that this baby might want to come out- no plug, BH or anything- feel the same as ever, just more fed up and more uncomfortable!

smerlin I think I wrote your exact post last week! Apparently some people don't have any signs but unfortunately I'm now 3 days over and still haven't had a single sign nor do I have a baby yet .... Not happy! Hope you aren't waiting as long as me! x

Smerlin my first baby went from no signs and midwife not able to reach cervix foresees to baby born 12 hours lafter. However can you excited go to the back of the line please no jumping the cue !

My midwife told me last week 'never trust a pregnant woman' as things can move really quickly and as sweetie said they can think you are a while off but everything can change within a day.

With my first I had no signs at all and my waters just broke. Did not have cramps, show of anything I am desperately hoping for now!

I'm annoyed as my first sign of labour was a big surge in energy. However this time I've had two surges of energy (in between feeling knackered) and nothing's happened

Hey ladies,

Seen the mw this morning. Baby has dropped slightly but cervix is still posterior. It has softened slightly from last week but not really looking like anything is imminent. As a positive my blood pressure is lower than I think it has ever been! Baby is obviously quite happy in there. Will meet it in 2 weeks whatever.

How is everyone else doing this morning?

Ok progress 12 days over and had a sweep not painful at all! Am 2cm dilated and cervix soft. That was at 3 today. Just Been to toilet some brown streaky bits and red bits plus some tightening so is this it?

Do you think so? I just googled and read that some people can lose their plug and be 3cm dilated for about 2 weeks!

So at last news! A baby girl called Josie. Born at 2.09am on tThursday. God it was quick when it happened luckily I was at birth Centre. Went from 2cm dilated to 8 in 3 minutes and Josie born within an hour all together. Just Home had llovely time in birth Centre now I'm struggling with feeding! I'm so rubbish at it! Thanks for everyone's thoughts x anybody else with an update? .

Congratulations sweetie, well done! Love the name too. Ask to see the bf counsellor ASAP if you are having problems. They got someone to see me same day when I had issues with DS. Good luck xxx

No news with me, crampy and twingey but nothing concrete. Had reflexology yesterday and acupuncture today. DS was in nursery yesterday and today so have had a couple of restful days which has been amazing, just what I needed.

congrats sweetie 39w here or 40+1 going by growth scan. just niggly pains as per. getting sick of ppl nagging me i just wana hide away til i give birth. people behave like they are entitled to updates even when they barely know u

Hello - can I join please? I'm 39 + 2 with my first and so excited/nervous /impatient - mainly impatient!

Baby due on Halloween but I'm currently bouncing on my exercise ball hoping it'll get things moving earlier!
