I can't believe I'm still pregnant!!!! 9 days over lit's of spd pain nothing else and can't stop spending money that i don't have!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 19/10/2013 14:35

sweetie 9 days over. Urgh that sucks anyway without adding spd into the mix.

star I would have been on my way to the hospital with contractions like that.

I keep getting strong braxton hicks but they are definatly not real contractions. Baby keeps ramming his head on my cervix so I think he wants out too.

sweetiepie1979 · 19/10/2013 16:28

I reckon I'll have to be induced, what actually happens does anyone know? Is it really sore I'm trying to avoid epidural due to spd

sammythemummy · 19/10/2013 17:58

Still nothing donna...been having slight cramping pain in the evening, but nothing during day Confused

9 days sweetie! Poor you! I really hope baby is due soon. Never been induced so I have no idea how sore it is.

Just been told by the midwife i tested +ve for Groub B strep :( First time iv had it and trying not to worry with all the scary stories online.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 19/10/2013 18:15

sweetie I don't know I've never been induced, I've heard it can make the contractions more painful. Make sure your midwives know you have spd and they know how far you can open your legs.
Hope you go into labour naturally

sammy goggling is a nightmare for stuff like this. I always thought they just put you on antibiotics during labour.

windywoo26 · 19/10/2013 18:41

Sweetie, sorry no experience of induction either. Think it can make everything more intense, especially as there is no time for the body to gear up gradually.

Sorry to hear about your strep infection Sammy, have they said how they are going to deal with it? So hard to avoid google but try and take the scare stories with a large pinch of salt as people never write if it all went smoothly, which is probably in the vast majority if cases. At least you and the midwives know so they can act appropriately.

Donna1989 · 19/10/2013 19:36

awww no sammy and sweetie gunna be careful wat I say as I'm not 100% but have spoke vaguley about induction with my MW there's 2 options 1 been a pessary that they put up ya woowoo lol to soften the cervix to help dilate and bring contractions can take anything from 1 hr to 24 hr for it to work, I don't knw if itl hurt as havnt had one but I guess itl be like a thursh pessary if u have had one and then lsbour which may obviously hurt lool did me anyways also there's a drip havnt heard much of this but aparently speeds things up.... I suffer/ surpffered with spd whilst giving birth to katie, whilst I was having contractions i noticed both my legs were in a lot of pain as she was moving further down so I opted for the epidural..... this slightly helped me as it numbed the pain in my hips and thighs but just felt like I had mild cramp while pushing in my legs so just pulled both my legs back as far as I could and cradled myself and stopped my legs moving and stopping causing me any more pain and stress however it might work for u might not but go with ur gut instinkt if u want it get its ur mind helping u haha well that wat a thought anyhow xxxx

sweetiepie1979 · 19/10/2013 21:07

Oh Jesus! I'm dreading it! Feeling totally anxious can't believe my first baby arrived on time and this been my secone I'm going to have to be induced ahhh

windywoo26 · 20/10/2013 09:41

How's everyone doing this morning? Nothing new here. Bored of waiting already.

GreenGiant3 · 20/10/2013 09:51

Can I join?Smile I'm 38 weeks and completely fed up, I'm massive and find it difficult to move, I'm at that "fed up stage" Sad

Hope everyone else is doing well? I've been redding previous posts, any signs of any babies yet? Smile

sweetiepie1979 · 20/10/2013 10:17

Morning all welcome green giant, I'm still waiting 20 days over please happen today......

sweetiepie1979 · 20/10/2013 10:18

Wow not 20 days over 10 days over! Phew!

Excited85 · 20/10/2013 10:34

Morning all. Nothing to report here either. 2 days over and fed up! Am trying my best to enjoy these last few days just me and dh but is easier said than done when every movement is such an effort.

Sweetie unfortunately I know diddly squat about induction but am sure they will be used to seeing women with SPD and will adapt/make suggestions accordingly. Fingers crossed your little one just shows up today of their own accord!

Donna1989 · 20/10/2013 13:33

you never know sweetie today might be the day xxxx

sammythemummy · 20/10/2013 16:14

I need to be put on antibiotic drip as soon as im in labour, not looking forward to the discomfort of the iv drip alongside contractions :(

If my husband asks me if im having any pains yet I think ill bar him from being at the hospital

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 20/10/2013 19:33

Hi green I know what you mean about being huge and uncomfortable, I'm 39 weeks today and massive and fed up. Dd came at 38 weeks, I can't believe this one is taking his time.

sweetie 10 days over Sad hope something happens soon.

windy not much to report here today, had a surge of energy and a desire to clean everything but now I'm shattered again.

sammy hope the drip doesn't annoy you too much in labour, if it makes you feel better contractions hurt loads and will take your mind off the drip Grin Hmm

GreenGiant3 · 20/10/2013 20:00

10 days! Oh god I feel for you!! Hopefully soon, love. I pray I don't get that far, I am now having to roll out of bed, cannot get comfy and feel like I need a crane to turn over, it's like a 3 point turn in the car ConfusedGrinGrin

When- I went over with DS, 6 days (had him 40+8 though) PRAYING that this one comes before though, has anyone tried acupuncture? I'm seriously considering it...

Just purchased a birthing ball today so will be parking my bum on that, raspberry leaf tea doesn't seem to be doing much, anyone else tried this? Tastes lovely though Smile

X

Annagramma · 20/10/2013 20:32

Hi, can I join?

Only two days past my due date, but I feel so waddly. DM keeps texting to ask if the baby has arrived. Angry Does she really think I'd just give birth and not tell her?

GreenGiant3 · 20/10/2013 20:36

Anna, ikwym its a nightmare, I have the same people asking me every day too it's tiring and very annoying ConfusedHmm

DottiestDoris · 21/10/2013 05:55

Hi, anybody on here at this time? 40+4 today and DH and I DTD at 10 last night then 90 minutes later I started having contractions every 5 minutes. Currently in birthing unit bouncing on a ball but not feeling as though things are progressing. DH is snoring and im trying to keep calm but worried they're going to send me home again.

windywoo26 · 21/10/2013 07:59

Fingers crossed for you Doris. Keep bouncing!

Hi Anna, that is frustrating. I think everytime I phone DM she thinks so am going to tell her I have had it so feel like our conversations are a bit of a let down.

Had a relatively good nights sleep which makes a difference. Have DH home today and tomorrow which also makes things a bit easier with DS.

Today I am planning on booking lots of nice things, like pedicure, reflexology and acupuncture for the end of the week so I can look forward to them and hopefully cancel them if baby arrives, either way I win!

Donna1989 · 21/10/2013 09:14

how's everyone feeling any closer?? sweetie please tell me something has hapoened for you lol 3 weeks over now arnt u xxxx

Donna1989 · 21/10/2013 09:15

awww keep going doris things can. change within minutes good luck keep us filled in. xxxx

Excited85 · 21/10/2013 09:56

Aww good luck Doris! We dtd last night also but no luck for us! Getting really fed up though did have quite a lot of back pain yest and so far today along with feeling sick so wondering if it's getting close.

anna isn't it annoying! My mum is paranoid I won't tell her bit bless her is trying not to hassle me. Mil on the other hand has rang everyday from over a week before due date with the dreaded 'any twinges' question so that's now 11 days in a row! She even turned up at the front door first thing sat as they were 'passing' and just thought they'd pop in and see if any developments. Dh popped round yesterday and yet she still called a few hours later to ask again... Argh!!!!! Sorry rant over!!!

I've been so placid through this whole pg but now starting to lose my rag a little... Perhaps it's a sign...! Or just wishful thinking!

DottiestDoris · 21/10/2013 10:04

Hi everyone, thank you for your encouragement. Just as I was about to suggest we
