Really excited there are lots of new people about to pop too. I'm 38 + 4 and the baby is 3/5 ths engaged. Loads of braxton hicks today so maybe it won't be too much longer.

Excited85 · 18/10/2013 09:23

Can I join? D day today for me but so far only very occasional BH (perhaps 4, ever!!) no show etc. baby been engaged for a couple of weeks but without the BH or show I'm guessing I could still be waiting a while? Bored now and desperate to find out if I'm having a little boy or girl!!

sweetiepie1979 · 18/10/2013 10:37

Hey Wimdywoo how was reflexology?

Smerlin · 18/10/2013 11:05

Congratulations Donna!

Excited85 I am in the same situation as you- 39+3 and nary a sign that this baby might want to come out!

Have had a slightly dodgy tummy for the last two days which could be a sign or I could have eaten something dodgy- the stomach pains get me all excited and then I just end up running to the loo! Blush

Excited85 · 18/10/2013 11:07

Haha Smerlin I'm even jealous of that. Not a single sign :-( but what can you do! Tempted to try reflexology or accupuncture so interested to see what Windywoo has to say.

windywoo26 · 18/10/2013 11:39

I think it was actually quite useful. Last night I had more Braxton hicks and more discharge, which could have been the start of the show. I certainly feel like things are more active now. It was relaxing at very least. Will defo go again next week if still no baby.

We are desperately trying to decorate DS' new bedroom to get him out of the nursery to make way for DC2. DH has finally got his act together and we did one coat of emulsion last night and one this morning. Now just two coats on the accent wall and we are done! Only taken 8 months of nagging! Will relax a bit when it is sorted.

sillyoldfool · 18/10/2013 22:08

DD3 decided to make an appearance 10 days overdue today at lunchtime. 11lb 8oz of squidgyness arrived after about five hours of labour. Grin
Hope tonight's full moon works it's magic for some of you!

sweetiepie1979 · 18/10/2013 23:09

Sillyoldfool that's amazing! What a weight! Fantastic congratulations. Where are you tonight Home or hospital? How
Do you feel? Xxx

sillyoldfool · 18/10/2013 23:22

In hospital, she needs to pass some obs for blood sugar because of her size, and she had some meuconium in her waters. Should be home tomorrow though.
I feel fine, just achy and tired. My last baby was 10lb 3oz and back to back all the way out, 11lb 8 the right way round was a lot better, though definitely harder work than DD1 who was only 8lb!
It was the first labour I've escaped monitoring and that gas and air worked for me, brilliant stuff!

sammythemummy · 19/10/2013 06:21

Congrats to donna and sillyold

sweetie still pregnant :( im officially 39 weeks today.

excited iv had the mucous plug come out, bh, diarrhea, some waters going and STILL no dc Hmm
You might give birth before me with no signs!

windywoo26 · 19/10/2013 07:40

Congrats sillyold! Wow, what a size, well done you.

After thinking things were starting to move after reflexology on Thurs there was nothing again last night but at least I had the best nights sleep I have had in a while. We have also only got one coat of paint on one wall of DS' new room to paint. Doing that this morning and then hopefully I will at least be able to tidy the nursery as currently just has a walk way to DS' cot!

I have a sweep booked for first thing Tuesday but might start the day with raspberry leaf tea and end it with a take away curry!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasExhausted · 19/10/2013 10:34

silly congrats, although 11 pounds 8 Shock really glad you are both doing well

smerlin I know what you mean with the dodgy tummy. Mines been dodgy pretty much all pregnancy but I'm expecting it to get much worse when labour kicks in.

windy glad your dh is getting on with the decorating, I don't know why they take this leisurely approach to it. So annoying. It sounds like you are gearing up for labour.

sammy sorry there's no signs of labour, still you never know it could all happen suddenly.

I remember getting a massive surge in energy the day my waters went with dc1. So I'm waiting for something similar to happen, so far l've just been knackered so I don't think anythings going to happen today.

Excited85 · 19/10/2013 10:39

Anyone else feel like they're going backwards?! Am officially overdue now and still no show/nesting/toilet issues etc! Getting a bit fed up of being such a lump as everything is an effort now :-(

Keep getting teased, was getting what I thought were contractions for 6 hours last night, all about 20 mins apart with cramping lower down and sore back which then just completely stopped around half 2. So sleepless night also. Anyone else want to join my pit of misery?!!! Might call up for a reflexology apt for early next week see if that gets anything moving....

Donna1989 · 19/10/2013 11:00

dodgy tummy may be a sign I had it for a few days xx

Donna1989 · 19/10/2013 11:03

sillyold congrats hun, my LO found her lungs last night guys ofically had my first sleepless night haha but wouldn't change it for the world how you all getting on? sammy, sweetie any signs xxx

windywoo26 · 19/10/2013 11:09

Woohoo!! I have a tidy(ish) nursery and a painted room for my little boy! REALLY pleased with his bedroom, will look fab with a few finishing touches. All set now for baby Windy 2 to make it's appearance. Am now in a bit of a tidying frenzy, not had anywhere to put stuff with two bedrooms being a complete state, even DH is joining in!

I know what you mean about going backwards. It is so frustrating. I don't tell anyone about any twinges or pains now as beginning to sound like the boy that cried wolf. With DS my waters suddenly went in the night with no warning at all so never had any of this frustrating build up. S'pose we should all make the most of the calm before the storm.

star87 · 19/10/2013 11:19

excited I feel your misery. I had contractions everything 6-7 minutes for 5 hours and then they tailed off :-( they were extremely painful and I thought it was finally it! So a sleepless night a very grumpy me today!
