Welcome ladies, new and old. Grin May we all have dull and boring pregnancies. Pull up a chair, crack open a bottle of (non-alcoholic) wine and settle in for mutual handholding, fishslapping and neurosis.

totally dont stress the potty training! your wee ones are heading for the major life upheaval of getting a new sibling. thats a lot in itself. They'll do it eventually, and don't worry if you get a bit of regression once the babies arrive.
night training is a BIG thing too. They make night time pants for up to 11 year olds for a reason! DS was mainly dry in the day by 3 or so, but wasnt fully dry at night until he was at least 7! The GP wasnt remotely worried. Its common in boys and is to do with the time that the signal takes to reach the brain. It apparently has further to travel in boys! Grin

Kjh (and Fod) - I have got some good bras from Bra stop and Brasandhoney - both have free delivery and returns (if you order enough) and have the larger sizes (which I really needed) miles better than the awful M&S woman in my local shop who tried to get me to go up a back size because they had nothing over a GG (I'm currently rocking a 32H and my 32I bras have come out from last time in preparation Shock)

I also get most of my maternity clothes on eBay - Isabella Oliver t-shirts are with the extra as the jersey is vv thick. They then resell on eBay well so just have to try not to stain them!

thanks Tomkat - DH is worrying that he's not even started to try, but I work for a nappy making company so at least we can usually get them relatively cheaply. Plus I'd rather take our time than have problems later on!

Anyway maybe DH will be more worried if I show him pics of DS wearing "his favourite shoes" - my red kitten heels! I' m sure it's the clack clack noise on the tiles which appeals Grin

Ok. Hands to hold please!
It's just dawned on me properly that my scan is tomorrow morning.
Make or break, good news or bad...

Saggy you will be fine!! Handholding from me, I found that it was easier to count down in hours til my scan once it was close, felt longer to say "15 hours" rather than just "in the morning". The ladies on the March thread were asking after you, I hope you don't mind but I told them you're ok but you're on this thread more. They all send their love :)

Re potty training, my DS turns 2 about 3 weeks after my due date. Am going to have a try at getting him out of nappies over the next few months but if he's not got it by 3 months before I'm due then its waiting until baby arrives - have seen friends DC's regress or intentionally make a mess to get attention when younger sibling arrives and don't want to have to deal with that!

saggy thinkin of you... It's petrifying stuff it really is I was literally shaking on the bed! The sonographer/midwife was so lovely as she's had experienced 2 miscarriages and as we were talking about loosing symptoms etc and how I will literally Squeeze my breasts to make them feel sensitive she totally related to every word I said and began crying

chocolate wow!!! I've gone from a 32b to a 36D and I thought that was good going hahaaa

Tomkat79 · 08/09/2013 22:22

Aww saggy can almost feel the fear in your post. At least it's nice and early so you haven't got all day to pace. Lots of hand holding from me x

Tomkat79 · 08/09/2013 22:24

32 I chocolate?! Wow. I'm just starting to fill the baggy top bit in my 36c. Very jealous Envy

kjh5 · 08/09/2013 23:37

Saggy you're almost there! Handholding all the way I'm sure it's all going to be fine. Thinking of you!

Chcocolate thanks so much for the bra advice. Mine are pretty mahoosive and I was completely outraged when I found out they were getting bigger, at the rate I'm going I'll be able to feed quadruplets with no worries. I get all of my underwear from bravissimo and just looked at their non-underwired bras - they are hideous! Was in some despair after realising no other high street shop caters for my size. But I shall definitely look up those sites when I get home from work!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 09/09/2013 00:14

aargh! I cant sleep!

Pentagon · 09/09/2013 00:18

thunder, kjh5 and tea yay for your good scans! Brilliant news! Smile

saggy all the best for tomorrow, I'm sure everything will be fine!

Ahhhh, potty training...sore subject! Back in May DD started showing interest in using the toilet (she was 2.3 at the time) without me making any effort (I think she saw other children at the nursery doing it and copied them) then she spent a couple of weeks with her grandparents in July and completely lost interest (even though my mum tried) - she's still not interested so I have kind of given up...I don't want to push it, I've read it can make things worse

I spent the weekend in a baking frenzy... had to give lots of it away as there's no way we could eat it all. DD doesn't want to go to bed at the moment - she threw a tantrum both tonight and yesterday ...I hate it and find it very stressful. I hope she grows out of it before the baby arrives. This morning she pointed at my bump and said "mummy I want to see the baby" which was really sweet Smile

pumpkinsweetie · 09/09/2013 06:41

Goodluck with your scan today saggy xx

Potty training- don't worry they get there in the endSmile, my 3 were day trained by 3 1/2, late but that's when they were ready! Older two were dry at night around 2-3 months later, my 5yo still wets at night though but i don't worry about it as it is very common. My youngest is 3yo 1m and she isn't showing any signs and is absolutely so disinterested there is no point in me starting her yet, although i do somewhat pressured by other mums i must remember all kids are different.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 09/09/2013 07:35

Good luck Saggy, thinking of you this morning x

Omri, DD was 2 at the beginning of June. We ended the day with 3 wee successes! She's been banging on about pants for months. The childminder actually thought she was ready about 6 months ago but I wanted to wait. We are now childminder less so I figured it would be a relatively good time as child care is between me and DH at the moment. Also she was in re useable nappies that I want to do some repairs on so that newbie can use them. I'm expecting things to go a bit belly up when number 2 arrives but thought I'd put the groundwork in now whilst we can focus on her. She was very proud of her first wee declaring 'mummy I didn't want to wee on the floor'. Bless. DH has her for the next 3 days....he's not happy, ha ha ha Grin
