Welcome ladies, new and old. Grin May we all have dull and boring pregnancies. Pull up a chair, crack open a bottle of (non-alcoholic) wine and settle in for mutual handholding, fishslapping and neurosis.

great news anglo and welcome little congratulations on your pregnancy :)

tomkat there is no reason to not have sex but do whatever makes you feel best. It won't kill your DH to do without for a bit if you think it would cause you more worry.

janie call up - nobody called me about my blood results and my iron is really low, it won't do any harm to give them a ring and check x

Forester · 10/09/2013 20:11

I'm now achingly close to my 12 week scan tomorrow. It's in the morning which is good. For previous scans it's been 90% excitement 10% nervous - by the time we get there tomorrow it's going to be the complete reverse. I'm desperate to have good news to share in RL (and here) as I know people will be please with me - some because they know about my MMC but also most people we know know that we've been trying for number 2 for a long time. I'm not sure how I'll deal with any bad news.

I also (finally) had my booking in appointment with the MW's today and I found it reassuring that they automatically talk about future appointments. They also tried to listen to the heart-beat - warning me first not to worry if I couldn't hear anything at this stage. Unfortunately while they could here something it wasn't clear enough for me to hear. I don't think that's worried me though as I'm confident that I'm still getting pregnancy symptons - I think I'm more concerned at other potential problems.

In relation to sex for me Tomkat it's just nice not to have to be doing it on demand!

And welcome to Little - glad you've joined us. Smile

Tomkat79 · 10/09/2013 20:36

That's very true forester, this pregnancy happened though when we stopped trying as the pressure was too much!

I'm excited for y

Tomkat79 · 10/09/2013 20:38

Stoopid fat fingers!

I'm excited for your scan tomoro, seems like forever until mine.

Thanks guys for the advice...was thinking maybe might go for it tonight, but tummy like a spin cycle and sooo sleepy!

Pixielady83 · 10/09/2013 20:55

good luck forester hope its ok. That's great mw heard hb Smile

choc sorry to hear about your spd Sad how many wks are you? have you tried a chiropractor to re align your pelvis? might give you a few more weeks without crutches. I'm with you on the mono boob effect, I hate non wired bras. My problem is that as my boobs get bigger I find the underwires for the bigger cup size dig in under my arms as I'm quite petite Sad this despite checking I have the right back size etc. Any advice appreciated!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/09/2013 21:45

holding your hand for tomorrow Forrester. Good luck.

Really lovely film choices saggy!

I'm off work today and tmrw due to death in the family. Can I just tell you about my amazing fantastic 99 year old aunty? She was given seat of honour beside my lil sister at the top table at my lil sisters wedding last week. Drank a bottle of red wine and was dancing on the dance floor with us til midnight. She lived on her own in the house she was born in and got her taxi to the bridge club every Tuesday night. She was the most frank and sound woman with incredible wit. We are going to miss her so much. She was a force to be reckoned with!
Isn't it odd that she was 99 years old and her death came as a huge shock to all of us!
My sisters wedding has been officially renamed as aunty's last hurrah Smile
Night all.

Pentagon · 10/09/2013 23:20

anglo yay for the good scan!! I wouldn't worry about the difference in dates, it's just a small one and it's difficult to measure accurately so early on

welcome little and congratulations on making it to 13 weeks!

tom I was in no mood for sex during the first trimester - I was too worried and scared!

forester good luck tomorrow!!

omri your aunty sounds like an amazing woman - I'm sorry for your loss Thanks

Angloamerican · 10/09/2013 23:28

So glad that I'm not the only one who hates baby sex! I remember at one point saying to DH: "I think I'm ovulating in the next couple of days." DH: "So we have to have sex tonight?" Me: "I'm afraid so. Let's make it quick, though."

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/09/2013 23:37

Omri your aunt sounds amazing! I know what you mean sbout the surprise though. they gave my gran 5 years to live when I was 5. she finally popped off wgen I was 28! we nevrt thought she might actually die!

Tomkat79 · 10/09/2013 23:48

What an awesome age omri, so sorry for your loss. I nurse the elderly and don't get to see many get to 99. Those that do are often as independent as your aunt! What a remarkable woman. I know her death has come as a shock to you but rather sudden like that than some god awful prolonged disease and suffering xxx

GardenWorm · 11/09/2013 06:14

Good Luck today Saggy, I hope you don't have too long to wait now and managed to get some kind of shut eye xxx

Likewise Forester, will be thinking of you guys xxx

Congrats Anglo! Whoop to good scan Smile

Omri - awesome! I think it's fab that you and your family have such a lovely last memory of your Aunt, she sounds flippin brilliant, just the way I'd want to be if I ever got to 99! I know it's a sad time for you but what you wrote about her was so proud and happy, I bet she would be quite pleased looking down and seeing the wonderful impression she left behind and how you are all remembering her with happiness. Have some Brew and Cake on me x

pumpkinsweetie · 11/09/2013 07:29

So sorry to hear about your aunty omri Sad, she sounded like a lovely lady Thanks xx

Goodluck today saggy and forrester, will be thinking of you both today x

fod27 · 11/09/2013 07:54

omri my thoughts are with you, it sounds like she had a good long innings and was a corker of a lady... Who could ask for more??

Saggy hope your feeling ok, try to seek solace in the fact that everything (Unfortanetly) is out of our control.. Please try not to worry I know it's easier said than done but worry doesn't change anything other than your state of mind xxx thinking of you today, sending lots of hugs and good wishes your way xxxx

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 11/09/2013 08:30

Omri you're aunt sounds like one in a million, what a great woman. so sorry for your loss, comforting to have such fond, happy and fun memories xx

Thanks for the bloods advice, I'll give them a call this morning. And bid I'm glad to be a reminder service :) hope you get sorted x

Hello little and any other new bfp-ers I might have missed :) and nice one on the good scans!

Saggy hope you're still feeling ok, only one more day x

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 11/09/2013 08:31

Oh and good luck today forester x

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 11/09/2013 08:40

I slept! Grin
I feel much more human today! And a lot calmer. I think that whatever happens, baby is going nowhere, so the rest is just science, right?
Good luck today Forester

omri · 11/09/2013 08:57

Saggy great attitude hope I'd be as level headed in your place. Think you're great! Amazing what a good nights sleep can do!

Good luck forester fx for you. Let us know how you get on.

Yes ladies my aunt was incredibly independent and fun loving woman. She lived every day of her life iykwim. She got married in her early 30's but got early menopause in mid 30's so no children - she made so much of her life though with travel to far flung places great social life etc. a lesson to us all in how to live well.

Off to funeral now and then big party to give her good send off! Have a good day ladies xx

Pixielady83 · 11/09/2013 09:17

omri I hope the funeral is a great celebration - your aunt sounds a fantastic lady, I want to be like that when I'm 99!

saggy glad you got a better sleep Smile thinking of you.

kat I'm normally 32E, but went up to 32G last time, I think I'm 32F at the moment so the G bras would be too big. Even when I was that big (and overspilling an F cup) they did dig under arm and rub somewhat. I'm not sure whether to try buying some interim wire bras or just make do with nasty non wired ones, I went through three changes in bra size last time so it got quite expensive! I do find non wired offer no support and (tmi sorry!) give me sweaty boobs too Blush but have much less disposable income this time so probably need to prioritise mat clothes.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 11/09/2013 09:22

oh shit! I was already a 36ff! Im going to be a walking pair of tits with a face attached!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 11/09/2013 09:22

Shock Confused Sad

Pixielady83 · 11/09/2013 09:31

saggy Grin you will look magnificent. don't forget there will be a bump to balance them out!
