I have always out right wanted a girl. But when I actually picture my baby I picture a little boy. I've even lately dreamed of when my baby is born and it was a boy. Is gut feeling normally right. I can't wait to find out the sex of the baby I'm only 7 weeks so I've got a long way to go lol

Yep, I had a gut feeling. It was wrong!

MirandaWest · 28/08/2013 18:50

I had a gut feeling. Twice.

Was wrong. Twice Grin

HeffalumpTheFlump · 28/08/2013 18:52

I couldn't make my mind up. Sometimes I was convinced my baby was a girl, but most of the time I thought boy. I kept dreaming about a boy and mainly pictured a boy.

She's a girl. I'm 100% sure she's a girl as she has loved to show off her girl bits at all my growth scans. My baby has no shame. Grin There's definitely no boy bits!!

ShowMeTheCoffee · 28/08/2013 18:55

I had a strong gut feeling both times and was correct both times Grin Not yet sure about DC3 but I've still got five months to go....

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Suggests that more educated mothers have more accurate guesses! Small sample though.

NotAnotherPackedLunch · 28/08/2013 18:57

I didn't just have a gut feeling, I knew the sex of both DC.
I was wrong both times. Grin

colleysmill · 28/08/2013 18:58

I had a very strong feeling ds was a boy right from the moment I knew I was pregnant. And I was right.

Not so sure this time round tbh

LalyRawr · 28/08/2013 18:59

I was absolutely convinced that it was a girl when I was pregnant. To the point where I would have actually staked my life on it.

Was equally convinced my foster sister was having a boy.

Was correct on both counts!

CrispyFB · 28/08/2013 18:59

Well, I'm allegedly educated and I got it wrong 3/3 Grin Even when I try to double bluff myself over it!

ChimneyDeep · 28/08/2013 18:59

Yes, a really strong one - I was right 50% of the time Grin

riksti · 28/08/2013 18:59

I was convinced I was having a boy. I have a daughter. Not sure this time around.

Bowlersarm · 28/08/2013 19:00

Yes.

Wrong three times.

All boys, all very different pregnancies.

Strongest feeling was that ds1 was a girl. Truly surprised (and thrilled) by the fact he was a boy.

BellEndTent · 28/08/2013 19:01

Yes twice, strong enough to buy blue clothes and make everyone think I was insane but I was right! Personally I think I willed two boys on myself. Grin

NickyNackyNooNoo · 28/08/2013 19:01

Totally convinced I was having girls....rubbish maternal instinct as I have two DSs and wouldn't change them for the world Grin

Gingerstrumpet · 28/08/2013 19:03

Not on sex with first one, but definitely with second. Knew he would have albinism too.

Still can't explain it.

ThedementedPenguin · 28/08/2013 19:04

With my first I was convinced it was a boy, I kept calling the baby a him and talked about what we'd die when he was born.

This time I think it might be a girl.

Although when I picture my family I only see boys so we shall see.

mikkii · 28/08/2013 19:05

With DS I wanted a girl but was certain it was a boy.

With DD1 I had no strong feelings, but complications diagnosed at 21 weeks led DH to suggest it was a girl. He was right.

With DD2, I asked at the 13 week scan if they could see the location of the placenta (although I know they don't look for this until 20week scan), was told no, couldn't be seen meaning either the top or bottom, so we both said together, placenta praevia and another girl then. Correct on both counts!

Sarahmains40 · 28/08/2013 19:05

Ok so but feeling is not something to possibly go on. I will be overjoyed no matter what sex my bundle of joy with be was just interested in the women's intuition. I've got so long to wait I think I may burst with excitement. If not excitement then sick as sickness has hit me 24/7 thanks for taking my mind off it :)

Absolutely!
Gut instinct - twice
Wrong - twice!

Although I did also dream my baby was a pizza...

MrsGSR · 28/08/2013 19:11

I am 20 weeks and knew very early on that she is a girl, which was confirmed last week :)

ThedementedPenguin · 28/08/2013 19:11

sarah have you joined your antenatal thread?

SmallFarAway · 28/08/2013 19:15

When speaking about the baby I always subconsciously referred to 'he' but when I thought about the future with said baby, I could only ever see a little girl.

Baby turned out to be a girl. Which proves that, even subconsciously, I hadn't a clue Grin

Sarahmains40 · 28/08/2013 19:15

I haven't joined it yet penguin I've only been using this thread so far :)
