Can't get over the twins news!
How's everyone else getting on? I'm useless at keeping up with where everyone is.
Tally, hoping you're out of hospital and the steroids are working (although the fact we haven't heard from you doesn't give me confidence). Thinking of you, hope you are surviving a day at a time

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/09/2013 17:54

Boom have you told anyone yet?

Boomgoestheweasel · 10/09/2013 18:28

Merk I just phoned Ma & Pa Boom, it took them about 5 minutes to understand what I was trying to tell them and then they started squealing, so I assume they're pleased! Have had to warn them not to get over-excited, but thought they'd be gutted if we didn't tell them. Mr Boom has told his mum as well, and my sister and best mate know, but that's it and that's how it'll stay until 12 weeks!

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/09/2013 19:22

Welcome to the chopper kitty! Feel free to ask your questions (as we've probably googled the answers) and voice your worries as we know how it feels.

Boomgoestheweasel · 10/09/2013 19:34

Hooray Kitty, we've saved you a seat and a special cushion for your cat (as long as she promises not to puke on us..?)

And I do believe you've got an increased chance of double trouble too haven't you? Wink

BlindKitty · 10/09/2013 19:43

Ah the vomming cat still needs to stay in the old thread. There are too many berries that need her to vomit on stupidly inconsiderate people that upset them!

boom well I did have 2 dominant follicles but I guess we won't know for another 3 weeks!

So not wanting to moan already but I'm sure I have a bug, although could just be me not knowing what it's like to feel pg!

Boomgoestheweasel · 10/09/2013 19:51

Ooh moan away, we're great at moaning! Could easily have a bug, is this the sore throat? Much more likely to get little niggles and colds and stuff in early pg, your immune system is a bit crap at the mo.. I've been sneezing for weeks, which is odd!

PoppySeedBun · 10/09/2013 19:57

Evening berries. What a day!
Such amazing news all round. boom huge congratulations! So exciting. My DH is convinced that twins would be a great idea - more efficient! - but I'm not so sure. Confused Then again, he was so badly behaved as a boy that a friend of his mum 'cursed' him with badly behaved triplets! Shock and I'm on Clomid so it is a possibility ...
merk congrats to you too - great photo as well.
kitty welcome to the helicopter too! Don't worry, we are all (mostly) in some stage of denial as well Grin
Off to my first scan tomorrow (8w), and trying hard to believe that I can continue some of this positivity ...

Boomgoestheweasel · 10/09/2013 20:13

Eee poppy hurrah for another scan! Fingers crossed, sure it will be more good news Smile I LOVE that your husband has been cursed with naughty triplets! Make sure the sonographer counts carefully!

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/09/2013 20:19

Poppy what time is the scan? Will have everything crossed for you

BlindKitty · 10/09/2013 20:42

boom how many weeks are you?

Well I feel really cold and achie and I've had some loose stools but I think they're settling (sorry tmi). The girl behind me has been coughing all last week grr. Haven't had any paracetamol even though (I think) it's ok. What do the other berries think?

poppy I don't think I've had the pleasure! Have you been ttc for a while too?

Do you know I just realised i can watch midwives tonight without feeling guilty!

PoppySeedBun · 10/09/2013 21:23

Ooh, you berries are all lovely!
Hello kitty -
I did have a brief spell on the TTC berry thread, but then disappeared for a while after my MMC as I just needed a break from the obsessing thinking about it.
But I much agree that the berry threads are the best ones on MN!
Scan at 9:40 tomorrow.
Don't know what I'll do if we don't see a heartbeat for some reason... Deliberately booked it for 8 w to make sure we had a good chance of that. Keep your fx for me, berries.

boom don't know what would be worse - finding out it's triplets or the smug grin on DH's face! Shock

And1makes7 · 10/09/2013 22:43

Evening ladies!

Are there any criteria to jump on board?

I'm petrified and I'm 6 weeks tomorrow with my 2nd after trying for about 2 years.

God 6 weeks is nothing!!

Anyway, I'm 32 and was hoping to enjoy a pleasure trip with you lovelies?

I can bring nibbles??

BlindKitty · 11/09/2013 07:14

And1 I've only just arrived after a LONG stint in the berry conception thread but I'd say you fit the criteria well! Grin. So just what kind of nibbles are you planning to bring????

And1makes7 · 11/09/2013 07:38

Well I do a mean cheese and pineapple hedgehog??
Crisps and dip? Crudités! And the old faithful pigs in blankets!

Congratulations on your bfp! I still don't quite believe it myself. Went to see gp on Monday, they told me the mw would contact me in a couple of weeks! So more waiting!

I'm really not good at waiting.....

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/09/2013 07:48

And1 the waiting is the worst bit, waiting for appointments and scans seems to take forever. I'm 12 weeks and its now 8 weeks until my next scan ShockShockShock

Thundercatsarego · 11/09/2013 07:55

Hi and1

The other initial criterion was that we are all trying for number 1 but I'm not bothered about the specifics! In awe of the pineapple hedgehog.

merk are you still dopplering?

Boomgoestheweasel · 11/09/2013 07:56

Morning, just popping in to wish poppy luck today and demand a picture immediately if not sooner

Hi and1 congrats on the bfp! There is such a lot of waiting. Should probably warn you that everyone else on this thread is finally pg with a long-awaited baby number 1 so there will be a lot of first-time-round pregnancy jitters, but other than that make yourself comfy and pass round the pigs in blankets (you'll get used to the sausage references soon)

Boomgoestheweasel · 11/09/2013 07:57

Ah, x-posts with thunder. Glad to see we can both be persuaded to bend the rules with strategic use of 80s party snacks Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/09/2013 08:06

I haven't dopplered for a bit, might give it a go tonight and see if I can get a recording

Thundercatsarego · 11/09/2013 08:22

boom just looked at your picture- amazing! I don't know about this stuff but surely identical twins would look like two blobs in the same sac?

Thundercatsarego · 11/09/2013 08:25

Oh yeah and good luck poppy!

PoppySeedBun · 11/09/2013 08:54

Thanks guys! So nice to have cheerleaders on here Grin
Will let you know as soon as I can, though not sure how well I will work out the photo thing Confused
And welcome and1 - we'll let you in with the snacks if you promise not to talk about potty training, or sleep schedules, or anything else we can't bring ourselves to wrap our heads around yet Smile
