Feel very nervous writing this. But I'm in my bold "sod the doctor" mood. Anyone joining me?

Eyelash? (after all, I consider it to be you who got me here in the first place )

Anyone else?

Harman - a line is a line. You will probably find it will go a lot darker in the next few days. What is your due date?

Fisil - can't find the message now but glad the scan was clear. And the bloods should tell you alot. Can you get the results of the first lot this afternoon?

Hope dd's eye is better.

I've been having tummy pains - and now you've said it, it is a feeling like wind. I don't remember it from before either. I won't bore you with my doom laden interpretation of what it means ... and besides which my messed up head tells me that it has that (negative) meaning for me, but for you harman it just means that it's settling itself in nicely.

Harman and Fisil - I have any stomach aches with all mine early on very reminisent of a period and I think it's fairly common.

Good news - had a scan this morning and they saw a heart beat. So emotional. When ds1 saw the scan photo he said the baby was gorgeous but looked a bit like a poo! Out of the mouth of babes. Date looks like it will def be 4/5 October but they will try to date me properly in two weeks time.

Fab news Eyelash, I know you had to just get past this scan to be in with a chance this time!!! I'm really really pleased for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it magical after disappointment, seeing a little life in there!

Hey eyelash, fab news. Will you ever tell your baby that s/he looked like poo?

Hospital rang this morning to say they lost my blood, so I'm off again tomorrow and Monday to give them a little bit more!

Really glad you saw the heartbeat eyelash, have been told that if that is the case at 6 weeks you are virtually on the home straight (not sure if that is true or not but made me feel slightly more at ease). Will speak soon.

Congratulations Harman, Eyelash and Fisil. I've just turned 37 and have one DD of 2 1/4. So glad this thread has started. I'm due 8th October, and have been having quite a lot of achey stretchy pains. Am also verrrry queasy. DP says it seems odd that this barking kind of wretching noise comes out of me on it's own. I've agreed to kick my leg out to the side as well when happens to create more of a picture. Well if it makes him happy

Hi Toots, and congratulations. I'd forgotten about stretching pains (but in my case it's only had a year to deflate, so surely the stretching isn't going to hurt this much). I'm still convinced that my tummy pains are something much more sinister. Still, just had an almost spot free 24 hours, so things are looking up.

Fisil, do hope that's an end to the spotting. Harman, can I reccommend morning sickness as an antidote to tobacco cravings. I was smoking a little bit, but yeurrggcccch, couldn't now.

Just finished a really busy day with ds1s 4th birthday. Absolutely knackered but had to come on.

Welcome toots. Great somebody else has joined. I wonder if anymore will join soon?

Fisil - also good news re spotting. When is your next scan?

Harman - I was a 20 - 30 a dayer until pregnant with ds1. The only thing that stopped me was Allan Carr's book - the easy way to stop smoking. He spoke so many truths and took away my need to smoke almost overnight. The fact I gained a stone in weight is neither here nor there but now I can't bear smokey atmospheres. The lifts at work are especially a killer as I always seem to get in with somebody who has just had a fag. Best of luck with trying!

Goodnight.

Fisil - are you ok? I was thinking of you today and wondered if the spotting had stopped for you. You also have your second blood test tomorrow so wanted to wish you good luck.

Hello to everybody else.

Just wanted to send everyone some energy to get them through this grey Monday. I've just made some carrot apple and ginger juice, with the most enormous lump of ginger. Feeling a bit good now.

Still no more spotting, and less in the way of tummy pains. Thanks for asking! Had second blood done today - will be ringing tomorrow lunchtime to get the results, am feeling a bit nervous.

I just can't believe how time seems to just stand still!

Brilliant news re the spotting fisil. And good luck for the results tomorrow. Did they give you Saturdays score?

Toots - thanks for the kind wishes. I had lots of energy today and took the boys swimming and had a friend over this afternoon but absolutely pooped tonight so early to bed.

Harman - you are doing really well re the smoking. Keep it up.

Fisil, know what you mean about time standing still. Glad you had lots of energy Eyelash, still knackered today after yesterday's exertions? I hopeth, hopeth not.

I am feeling almost normal today on account of wearing a pair of travel bands. Black sweatband material. Look like a goth. Have hardly felt sick since I bought them yesterday. I am well and truly read to rock and roll.

Harman, are you off the smokes yet ?
