About six weeks. We were very surprised it happened so quickly as we are neither of us spring chickens (mid/late thirties).

Londongirl84 · 15/08/2013 12:50

It took us 7 months so 6 weeks is amazing. Lucky you!

Any other sharers?

Coil removed 29th December. Dtd15/16 January. Pregnant!

I'm late thirties, husband forties. Had been on pill for 20 years and coil for one. Never expected it to happen so soon.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 15/08/2013 12:54

One split condom, not TTC at all. I have pcos too so expected to have to try for years when the time came.

BoohPear · 15/08/2013 12:59

4 weeks. We were trying but had expected it to take months not weeks!

gruber · 15/08/2013 13:03

10 months (& I'm under 30, reasonably fit, healthy etc...)

LovesToBake · 15/08/2013 13:10

Happened second month for us - although looking back I think we missed some crucial dates in the first month! Currently expecting DC2 and this time it happened first month of TTC, so lucky!

misskatamari · 15/08/2013 13:13

I had my coil out last summer. Had just been ccareful to avoid dtd around ovulation as were planning on TTC later this year. Weren't very careful a few months ago and now 15+4 so not long at all as we went actually trying Grin super pleased though!

JennaRainbow · 15/08/2013 13:15

Amazingly the first cycle we tried, planned it with a calendar x

JimbosJetSet · 15/08/2013 13:18

A year the first time around, 2 months the second time.

lovelylentils · 15/08/2013 13:18

A year and a half.
PCOS messed us about! Was waiting for next af so I could begin clomid when I found out I was expecting dc1. Now preg with dc3!

NoMoreMarbles · 15/08/2013 13:28

Started TTC DD in Aug 2004, got BFP in April 2005 :)

Currently TTC DC2...Started TTC in Oct 2007...still TTC (8 MCs in that time though...)

eurochick · 15/08/2013 13:29

34 cycles and counting here.

dexterpat · 15/08/2013 13:32

With ds1 we conceived while on the pill ( had been taking it for more than 10 years- so not missed etc) ds2 we decided to try for another after ds1's 2nd birthday stopped taking pill one week later pregnant !!! This pregnancy (ds3)was another surprise!while on pill!! - even with birth control we need to avoid ovulation times!

RegainingUnconsciousness · 15/08/2013 13:32

Blush about 6 hours from the "lets stop trying actively avoid..." conversation.

We were very lucky. If we go for a second I expect it'll take substantially longer. as I will be substantially older

91chloejp · 15/08/2013 13:37

It took us one cycle to conceive. I used an app on my phone and entered all the dates I had my period and went by the dates given to dtd.

KarmaBiatch · 15/08/2013 13:40

We were very lucky to get pregnant the first month of 'stop trying not to have a baby'..

It was really scary at first when we found out the deed had worked, and it took quite a while for me to get my head round the whole thing! I had expected it to take months of trying, and was shocked that I had to change quite a lot of lifestyle changes immediately!

LittlePeaPod · 15/08/2013 13:42

About 4 to 6 weeks.. I haven't calculated it properly..

Emilycee · 15/08/2013 13:46

Stopped pill in May, got the Ladytimer app and concieved in July after following the cycle on there. We feel very lucky as a lot of my friends have had to have IVF or taken 1/2 years.x

PuppyMummy · 15/08/2013 13:46

lost count of cycles (was getting depressing) but just over a year and a half and still not pregnant

BabyMamaDrama · 15/08/2013 13:50

The first night Blush

AlisonL1981 · 15/08/2013 13:51

Came off the pill in January last year after being on it for 10 years. Tried to conceive for 4 months before becoming pregnant in August last year.

Emmabombemma · 15/08/2013 13:52

13 months. Pregnant as soon as my GP agreed to refer us!

blueberryboybait · 15/08/2013 13:53

7 and a half years with DD1, DD2 however was a surprise 18 months later after being told 'You will never conceive without fertility treatment again'

StaceyP85 · 15/08/2013 13:55

About 6 cycles but had been off the pill for a year just not actively ttc
