Hi all. I'm still around. Had bit of a scare this week and was in hospital last night with another bleed :( really has frightened me. Had another Anti D injection and just hoping no more now.

Congrats to those new Mummy's with bundles of joy and welcome to the thread all the new comers.

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 30/08/2013 22:08

Aw lucky you poor thing, Hope you are resting up at home now? Sorry you had a fright, good to hear from you x

Shell that's right I remember now that thunder wanted to lie low for a bit x

GardenWorm · 30/08/2013 22:17

Lucky have they been able to tell you what's caused the bleeding? Not surprised you were frightened. Had my Anti-D today, not pleasant so feel for you having it again x

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/08/2013 22:25

I spoke to Thunder the other day. She was ok, but, as others said, laying low.

LuckySocks13 · 30/08/2013 22:30

No reason for the bleeds this pregnancy :( I'm due another anti D next week that will be my third. I have felt lots of movements today which is good but sure had knocked me for 6 again. Trying to rest but hard with a 3 year old! Having some low down achey was in tummy. Anyone else around 28!werks getting that? Kind if a real heavy feeling. Back on knicker watch at week 27.6 is not great!

shellsocks · 30/08/2013 22:33

Oh lucky I'm sorry, how scary Hmm Glad you are being looked after, hope things settle down permanently for you now x

Glad you've heard from thunder saggy Smile

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 30/08/2013 22:36

Thunder I have a mega heavy feeling low in my tummy, I had my 28wk app today and the super hot dr asked if I had felt a drop at all...I had no idea what he was talking about so just said I didn't know...maybe now I know what it is. He felt about and said he thought he felt the head low down. I had a new pair of over bump jeans on today for the first time so thought maybe it was because my flabby bump wasn't tucked in and supported in my usual jeans. Maybe we're just at that stage :)

MotorcycleMama · 30/08/2013 22:36

Hi shell and janie - I've been lurking but keeping my head down as I tend to do when pre-scan nerves set in. 12 week scan Monday. Very nervous and have started having nightmares. Not long to go now though.

Sorry to read how badly the PGP has become shell and good news that work is now one thing less to contend with.

Glad all is going well with the pregnancy janie - 28 weeks!

lucky thinking of you and hoping all settles down soon.

Will report back after the scan.

RainbowConnections · 30/08/2013 23:36

I had some bleeding tonight and can't sleep. I know of course that it probably means nothing (sorry TMI but it started after sex).
But probably because I'm tired i'm worried that its just going wrong again. Anyway, being awake gives me a chance to catch up on everything.

Anda hope you are all well.

Tomkat very happy to see you here. Congratulations!

Welcome Martha. Sounds like its been a tough journey. Congrats on your BFP.
When pregnant with DS i got an Isabella Oliver wrap dress off Ebay for a wedding and xmas parties. Really flattering.

Shell that sounds dreadful. Hope it eases with time off work.

Forester, hope you're feeling a bit better.
lucky hope things settle. Terrible to still have bleeding worry so far on.

MotorcycleMama · 31/08/2013 06:50

Hi rainbow - I hope the bleeding has eased overnight and that you got some sleep. I'm sure you and baby will be fine. Both times I have had tv scans (dildocams) I have had spotting after. Your cervix is fragile and bleeds easily when pregnant, but it is usually nothing sinister.

RainbowConnections · 31/08/2013 07:04

Thanks Motor. Still spotting but I know you're right, sure its fine. Feeling more sensible about it this morning. Hope you slept better and good luck for Monday.

LuckySocks13 · 31/08/2013 07:11

How many weeks are you Rainbow? I've had spotting and bleeding on and off every few months or so and had quite a bit in the early weeks. So unsettling isn't it.

shellsocks · 31/08/2013 07:27

Good to hear from you motorcycle totally understand the scan doom, it's horrible isn't it....but I'm looking forward to seeing you post on Monday abt how amazing the scan was, just hunker down till then and get thru best you can Smile

Sorry abt the spotting rainbow as others have said it looks like the sex is the reason so nothing to worry abt, bit v scary all the same Hmm hope it stops soon Smile

Hope your holding up lucky Smile

RainbowConnections · 31/08/2013 07:52

Yep, the timing after sex means it really is unlikely to be anything wrong, but yes, its unsettling
I'm 9 wks. So tough to have bleeding throughout Lucky. Hope you dont have any more scares.

Amusingly in the little bit of sleep I had last night I dreamt my GP gave me some happy pills for my anxiety called "apple pies"!

MarthasHarbour · 31/08/2013 09:01

Morning all Smile

rainbow glad to hear you are feeling better thus morning. I was just thinking last night that i am going to be on knicker watch for the forseeable future now, i saw some pinky stuff last night and freaked Hmm all is well this morning though.

Thank you for the wedding outfit ideas, i will be (hopefully) 20 weeks by then so will be mahoosive Grin i have been breaking my rules and googling maternity evening wear before the fifth week is out!! I will keep an eye on ebay

RainbowConnections · 31/08/2013 09:31

Glad all is well with you too this morning Martha. If you haven't discovered it, Tiffany Rose worth a look.

Best go play with my DH and DS and get off internet. Have had a lazy lie-in morning.

Chocolateteabag · 31/08/2013 10:47

Hello all, rainbow hopefully your spotting is settling down, very impressed at the first trimester action - poor DH has had none from me as either felt sick, tired or latterly hips too sore.

Martha - lovely dresses in Crave maternity like this one

MarthasHarbour · 31/08/2013 11:38

chocolate and rainbow you are so on my level - they are the 2 websites i have already shortlisted! Grin

kjh5 · 31/08/2013 12:02

Sounds like you had a rough night Rainbow - hope you are feeling better today.

I just looked at those maternity websites you suggested... the clothes aren't anywhere near as frumpy as I was expecting. Is it bad that I am tempted to buy something now (at 6+6)? There isn't anything approaching a bump but I feel so flabby and absolutely everything is too tight on me at the moment thanks to the wonderful bloating I am experiencing... plus the MS is often too bad to do any exercise. :(

MarthasHarbour · 31/08/2013 16:44

do it kjh i was tempted myself!

had a freak out earlier, i had some watery brown stuff it has gine niw but am hoping it was old blood/implantation

Tomkat79 · 31/08/2013 18:45

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome.

Knicker watch has commenced here too....I so miss the innocence I had 8 years ago with DS. Hope all the spotting does one very soon.

I feel like someone has been stabbing my boobs with hot pokers all day. Ouch. Loving the symptoms, they can be as bad as they like :-)

RainbowConnections · 31/08/2013 19:04

Sorry you have more worry Martha. Like you say, it could be implantation bleeding or old blood. But its impossible not to worry.

Crave looks great.

kjh5 with DS i bought a few normal clothes a size up early on and it was such a relief not to feel uncomfortable. A few months on they were too small but it was great to have them after the birth as it took me a while to lose weight - so they did get worn lots. But if you fancy maternity wear then i guess the earlier you buy the more wear you get out of them. New clothes might cheer you up if tired/bad MS.

Pixielady83 · 31/08/2013 19:57

Hi ladies, back from camping and survived! didn't get a whole lot of sleep but enjoyed it anyway. Tired now

Trying to catch up so sorry if I miss anything, just quickly:

anda massive congratulations on the birth of your baby girls. what beautiful names and amazing weights! I hope you are getting plenty of time with then now.

lucky sorry you've had so much worry, hope things are ok.

shell so sorry to hear you are signed off Sad have you got plenty of help with DS? hope you are managing the pain ok. Small possible consolation- I found the pain eased in the last month when the baby dropped down, it kinda stabilised the pelvis I think. Have you checked out the pelvic partnership website? It has some useful info. Hugs to you though, it totally takes the joy out of pregnancy Sad

martha welcome, what a journey you have been on. Really glad you are here with us and hope things will go smoothly from now on.

Welcome other newbies too Smile

Yay for good scan news guys and total can we be bump buddies as you are only a day ahead of me Grin

Yay also for the ladies on maternity leave countdown, jealous much?!

Thanks for MIL sympathy/advice... at the moment she is getting knickers in a twist as we have asked her not to broadcast news just yet... would like to clear 20wks (still paranoid) before she tells entire (massive) extended family. She is somewhat struggling with this and keeps asking 'but have you told great aunt such and such'... Confused she is hard work!

I'm starting to tell friends but do still feel weird. How did you get through these weeks before feeling movements ladies? I've got an angel sounds but haven't got it out since getting back as I'm inexplicably scared of not finding anything and going into a massive melt down. I felt DD early.. like about 14/15 weeks so I'm weirded out not to feel anything yet. I guess I just need to keep busy and will the next month away.

Forester · 31/08/2013 20:15

Hi Martha - I'm sure it's nothing but hopefully that will be it so you can stop fretting - though easier said than done.

And thanks all for the sympathy re MS. I'm more than happy to feel queasy as like all of us at this stage it gives us confidence that the pg is progressing - but didn't like the journey home particularly as I knew if I got off the train I'd be late picking DD up from nursery.

In relation to the clothes situation I found myself eyeing up some elasticated trousers earlier today! My wardrobe is currently getting fairly limited as quite a few trousers are now uncomfortable but I don't want to look at my old maternity wear stuff or any new things until I've had the scan. Which is one more day closer ....

Pentagon · 31/08/2013 22:04

shell, you poor thing! Hopefully you will feel better from now on, being off work.

lucky sorry to hear you had such a scare. I hope the baby's moving loads and giving you some reassurance!

rainbow it must be due to having sex - I love your dream by the way!

martha I also had brown watery discharge at 5/6 weeks, it's probably nothing to worry about

oh motor scan doom - totally understandable, we've all had it...good luck on Monday!

anda how are you doing? Have you been reunited with your girls?

hi to everyone else, good to hear your news! Not much to report here, I had my 31-week midwife appointment yesterday and all was well, bar a trace of glucose in my urine which I've never had before...so a bit worried about that now...pubic bone pain has got worse recently but that's the only symptom and it seems to come and go so not sure I can call it SPD.
