Congrats total & swan Smile

Today is the day Anda SmileSmileSmile You are going to be a mummy to two babies, ooh it's so exciting, they are going to be in your arms soonSmile

IBelieveInPink · 29/08/2013 08:53

Diet - I just read this on my trot into work (broken car, £2K bill - perfect) and actually ended up crying in the street. Crazy pregnant ladieeee!
You are being tested so much for this, but you are at the end now, and I hope you have already seen your girlies and you are all healthy and happy. You definitely deserve to be xx

andadietcoke · 29/08/2013 09:08

ibip you big softy. If you could see me now you'd be snorting with laughter. I'm sporting compression stockings and my arse is exposed to the world because I'm missing a tie on my gown and my dressing gown is too short. Really looking forward to waddling walking down to theatre in this state!

So far there's one emergency so have been delayed a little bit. I am very zen and smiley with everyone except DH who keeps getting snapped at.

I feel a bit aggrieved that I've missed out on maternity advent calendars. There's definitely a market for these - a first trimester, second trimester and third trimester one, with helpful (real) hints behind each door as well as gaviscon, Zantac, big knickers, breast pads, tangfastics, spatone and lactulose! They could be a spin off from our chain of super low budget scan clinics and dating digital pregnancy tests that work past 2-3 weeks...

Right, am starting planning my post-natal advent calendar. Gin, pate, blacksticks blue, gin, rare steak, gin Wink

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/08/2013 09:16

Fingers crossed for you Anda. Not long now! very excited

Eeek I'm so excited for you Anda! Grin

Re: movements, felt first baby at 17 week, second at 16 weeks. This one at about 16 weeks too and I may be wrong but the movements seemed bigger earlier, if that makes sense?! Was thinking "eek a body builder baby" but now as it's measuring bang on average and not huge, I'm guessing it's just because I have no muscle tone left! Oh joy Wink

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/08/2013 09:18

I have a question guys...
I've had a headache above my eyes since yesterday afternoon, and I've woken with it still there. Should I be thinking of speaking to someone? Or will they think I'm a hypochondriac?

Rockchick1984 · 29/08/2013 09:27

Saggy I seem to get niggly headaches during pregnancy (had them with DS and again this time) which last quite a while. They aren't agonising, but the sort of level where if I wasn't pregnant I'd definitely take painkillers, while pregnant I debate it but can cope without. Are you drinking enough water, its easy to get dehydrated at this stage because your body is producing extra blood etc. Have you taken anything for it?

GardenWorm · 29/08/2013 09:36

Go Anda with your arse hanging out! Lol! Whoop! Excitiiiiiiiing!!!! Grin

pumpkinsweetie · 29/08/2013 09:37

Loving the pregnancy advent calendar idea, would love one myselfSmile

andadietcoke · 29/08/2013 09:43

Saggy I've had this on and off - take paracetamol and see if that helps, and drink lots, and if it's still there tomorrow get your BP and urine checked

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/08/2013 09:48

Thanks guys. I did think I probably need to drink more, I'm just having issues with what to drink that doesn't make me feel sick! I'm trying, but even water makes me nauseous! And I have the added delight of drinking near bedtime and getting seriously real dreams about peeing! I'm terrified of wetting the bed! Confused
I'm going to go for the full 2 litres before mid afternoon!

Squash through a straw works for me - if I try to drink too quickly I feel sick but sipping constantly I'm ok with :)

andadietcoke · 29/08/2013 10:03

Peach squash was the only thing I could stomach for ages. Water made me throw up. Lime and soda I could manage too if out.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 29/08/2013 10:17

Full fat ribena isn't too bad. It just has six squill ion calories a glass! It's quite nice hot though too!

Good luck for today Anda glad you are outwardly so calm!! Very excited for you :)

Saggy anything with a bit of fizz in it works for me, even if it is lime and soda or just fizzy water an anti nausea trick from my days of being hungover on the weekends

I love the sound of all of these advent calendars! Was having a right giggle at work yesterday reading through all of them. Made me realise I have absolutely no clue what to expect over the next 8months and beyond. It might be time to admit I am actually pregnant and start reading up on some stuff... or maybe I'll just wait until after the scan has come and gone. I think DH has surreptitiously bought a pregnancy book and is reading it at work. He keeps sending me tips and today told me he 'knows' what I am going through and doesn't envy me one bit...

BumpKitty · 29/08/2013 12:02

Go anda! Fancy giving the lady with a 37 week twin bump a gown with no bum tie! You'll have to get DH to follow closely behind you Grin seriously though its been a pleasure sharing your pg journey with you and I can't wait to hear the news of your beautiful girls arrival xxx

ChristineDaae · 29/08/2013 12:06
