Andadietcoke - you look amazing, wow, hope you have lots of photos to remember your bump. 2 more sleeps - thinking of you!

TotalShock · 27/08/2013 21:22

Good luck swangirl & birds for tomorrow, I have my 12 week scan tomorrow morning too

Also my original due date 3rd sept is fast approaching which is playing on my mind

anda great pic and not long for you now! How exciting and nerve racking at the same time!

Don't know what my mil will be like in march, she will most certainly be a bit giddy when we tell her!

BirdsDoIt · 27/08/2013 21:53

total good luck for tomorrow - hope it goes really well. x

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 27/08/2013 22:14

FGS! Does anyone remember my shitty so called best friend?
She's at it again. Told our other friend that she has missed DD over the fortnight we have been away, but not me, because she can have a real conversation with me any more because all I talk about is the baby! I've mentioned being pg all of 3 times in the last 6 weeks!
I really think this could be the end! Sad
Anyway, wicked bump Anda, it won't be long now! I'm sooo excited on your behalf!
Good luck to the guys having scans tomorrow. Mine not for another fortnight! Confused
KJH if you are at all worried, speak to the GP or midwife. They take possible ectopic seriously and might well scan you. Otoh, you could just be a little constipated or have stretching muscles. It's worth getting checked out but not worth panicking over. Chances are its just poo! Grin

Argh I can't keep up with you all!

Anda- loving that bump, you have done so well to grow those babies to such a good size. Thinking of you and hope you're not feeling too overwhelmed ATM xx

Good luck everyone with impending scans!

Maybe I'm too posifrickintive but I am getting quite excited about baby number three although frickin terrified about three under four and looking forward to getting clothes down from loft (fingers crossed!)

Thank god my pils are so lovely and live so close as I just can't imagine having to share my space with them (much as I love them). Definitely think babymoons are the way forward. They had their babies, now it's our turn!

GardenWorm · 28/08/2013 06:18

Anda A-MAY-ZING! You look gorgeous. When did you last see your feet??!!! That is one beautiful mahoosive bump and only one more sleep with check in today (I trust you and the girls will be travelling first class?) Grin Just in case you dont get the chance to post again before your babies are introduced to the world all the very best, be prepared for the most wonderful experience of your life that words can not describe XXX

Good luck today Swan, Birds, & Total, thinking of you all x

First day back at work after nearly 2 brilliant weeks off. Yuk. Have not missed the 4:55 alarm.....really can't be arsed!

Hope everyone else is staying well with a sprinkle of posifrickintivity Smile

Chocolateteabag · 28/08/2013 06:41

Teaand - yup I can understand that feeling. Thankfully I'm only getting it second hand at the mo. my SIL is having a nightmare with her stepfather. She lives in rural NZ(ie on a farm miles from anywhere) due mid Nov and will have 2.4 DS. She obviously needs her DM to come out from France for a good length of time to help her as her DH has to work the farm. "D"stepF has kicked off because they've booked Her mum a ticket for 6 weeks coming back in between Christmas and new year (which was discussed with them)
Seems he's just remembered that the 27th of dec comes after Christmas day and has thrown toys out of pram. I seethe in empathy for her as he's such an attention seeker.

Anda you look gorgeous!
Saggy - your "friend" sounds either jealous or is having a pity party and wants more attention herself, either way not much use to you!

Good luck for all the scans today - Posifrickingtive vibes all round

TeaAndANatter · 28/08/2013 08:48

Hi kjh, missed your 'most pregnant so far' post - glad you're past the hump. My hump day is today, so lovely that we're both so close in dates, and both humping (does that read badly??!) Grin

TeaAndANatter · 28/08/2013 08:49

WOW - just opened 'the bump' picture - Anda, I salute you!

WhatWillSantaBring · 28/08/2013 09:32

Grrr, saggy on your behalf. I've learnt not to raise the topic of the bump with anyone except my mother or my DH unless they bring it up or ask me directly how I am. You just can't tell how people will react, so I assume the worst. That's why I love this thread, as I can talk about the bump to my heart's content.

Speaking of which, felt the first kicks from the outside this morning - feels like a bit of a milestone, and has reassured me a bit as I haven't been feeling much movement at all. I've also worked out because I've only just been brave enough to fill in the weekly countdown [count up?] on my calendar that I will be over the next milestone (24 weeks - officially over the possibility of a miscarriage) before my next due date.

My last due date was hell in every possible way - two friends giving birth and me at home recuperating from another ERPC. But the thing about them (previous Due Dates) is that you do survive them - they're horrid and you feel so so sad, but then in a way, its a point to start moving on, as you can no longer think "oh, I would be xx weeks pregnant at this point" instead you think "oh, I should have a six month old today"

Good luck scan people Flowers

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 28/08/2013 10:24

I know Santa I just stupidly thought she might be different!
I've spent ten years listening to the ins and outs of her itchy arsehole, spent hours watching slide shows of thousands of photos of the brown dustbowl they bought in Spain, looked after her 11+ horses when she went there regularly, and have been the ONLY person to stay friends with her for more than 6 months!
I didn't realise that my presence offended her so much! Sad

Anyway, enough, I can't wait to feel kicks! Envy I remember it, but actually feeling it again will be fabulous! It's when the baby really becomes real for me, when you can see its little feet poking through your belly! Smile
Not long now!

After agonising wait in epu this morning - all good here! I can't believe it! We saw mini baby with heartbeat (and mini placenta) looking healthy - 136bpm - measuring 7+1 weeks which is 5 days less than I was expecting but apparently that variance isn't anything to worry about. Yay!! Was so expecting bad news - slightly in shock!

total and swan keeping fingers crossed for you.

Pentagon · 28/08/2013 11:00

Woohoo, congratulations birds - great news!!!

total and swan good luck! I hope it's good news for you too!

saggy your so-called friend sounds really selfish - good riddance, I say!

garden I hope being back at work - and the routine - isn't too bad!

kjh5 · 28/08/2013 12:05

Oh birds that is brilliant! Hurrah! So excited for you :) Hoping total and swan are doing ok - thinking of you both today xx

Tea congratulations! It is a good feeling isn't it? Although I had a bit of a panic once I realised I was over the hump and immediately started convincing myself this pregnancy was ectopic ( Saggy I think you are probably right and its more a digestive thing trying to keep the neurosis in check ) But in the spirit of the 'today you are pregnant' mantra, i have decided that all is fine and progressing well until someone tells me otherwise. I think I am going to be a nervous wreck at my scan in 10 days time!

Saggy your friend does sound like a mare and not worth the time and effort!

Anda just 24hours to go! Super excited for you - keeping Fx everything goes smoothly!

Kat how are you doing? Can't be long until your scan now?

Oh birds that's brilliant, so pleased for you Grin That wait in the EPU is dreadful isn't it!

saggy one thing I've learnt through this whole sorry MC experience is that it's only worth spending time with people who build you up and don't knock you down when you are already feeling a bit vulnerable. Perhaps just give her a wide berth for now and see if she cheers up about your PG later on!

Thinking of you anda am sure everything must feel terrifying, exciting and overwhelming right now.

kjh5 · 28/08/2013 12:31

Oh Kat how awful that you have to wait a whole 4 days, especially if you are feeling worried! The symptoms do come and go so the fact you don't currently have any is not necessarily a bad thing, I have been having cramps for the past week and there was a 48 hour period over the weekend where I had no nausea, no tiredness and no sore boobs - I felt perfectly normal (apart from the cramps). Glad you have your nephews to keep you distracted. Really hoping everything kicks back in. Sending you lots of virtual hugs xxx

GuffSmuggler · 28/08/2013 12:38

Sorry kat I must have xposted.

You have done so well to keep waiting, try and keep positive- a change in symptoms doesn't mean anything. Try and enjoy the sea air, but I know how each day feels like an age waiting for a scan :-(

pumpkinsweetie · 28/08/2013 12:55

Fingers crossed for you katonic, it may be just stretching pains and loss of symptoms doesn't always mean something. Hope you manage to have a good time away and wish you the best in 4 days xx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 28/08/2013 13:07

Fingers crossed for you Kat. Don't give up hope! I've had 2 healthy PGs, one where I didn't have any symptoms and didn't work it out until about 10 weeks, and another where I felt shitty from pretty much the morning after! The symptomless one was a boy. It's said that girls make you sicker, maybe you are having a boy! Smile
Have a lovely time with your nephews and try to distract yourself. Those four days will fly past!

TeaAndANatter · 28/08/2013 13:12

Hi Kat, I had absolutely no symptoms at all (apart for a bump later on!) with both healthy pregs, apart from very very mild didn't like the look of my MIL's cooking and had a good excuse not to eat it nausea from week 6 -7 in PG2.

Had terrible sore breasts in MMC, so goes to show there's no telling. Crossing everything for you x x x x

TotalShock · 28/08/2013 13:20

Last night was the sickest I have ever been at 1130 then hardly slept all night - felt shocking.

Was then very nearly late for my appointment. DH gave me a hair raising drive to the hospital. Got there in the nick of time then nearly burst into tears! Had an impending sence of doom but...

There is actually a baby in there!

Laid on his/her tummy all the time and refused to move, just a squirm at being poked. DH said he/she is like me already - camera shy and stubborn!

Measuring a week ahead at 13+4 and my EDD is now the 1st of March - which is my birthday!

Hope to hear more good news soon

kat I hope your ok xxx

shellsocks · 28/08/2013 13:35

Hey anda how are you feeling, all calm and relaxed I hope Smile

Fantastic scan news birds what a relief, very pleased for you Smile

Hope you are coping ok kat, the waiting sucks but I?m hopeful for you ? today you are pregnant Smile

So my PGP has took a turn for the worse and now both sides seem to be affected, got a bit upset again in work today and quite scared tbh, not sure how bad things can get Sad

shellsocks · 28/08/2013 13:36

Cross post totat congrats! Made up for you Smile

BirdsDoIt · 28/08/2013 13:54

Yay total that's brilliant news! sounds like a stressful run-up to your scan but it was all worth it!

kat keeping everything crossed for you honey. As others have said, symptoms don't necessarily mean anything - I had really tingly tender boobs with mmc, this time hardly anything. It's good you've got some distraction for the next few days - been for a swim in the freezing sea in Wales yet?? Smile

shell that's rubbish your PGP is worse - has your midwife got any helpful advice about it?

saggy your so-called best friend sounds not worth the time and energy - nightmare MILs we're stuck with, but useless friends we're not...

santa so exciting you've felt first kicks from outside!! Am a total ignoramus - when do people normally start feeling the baby move? (I realise at 8 weeks I still have some way to go before then!!)

And garden what job do you do with a 4.55am start?? Ouch.

anda good luck tomorrow!! Will be thinking of you.
