rock I've just been looking at old posts and realised that we were on the same thread before when we had ERPC in the same week. Doubly glad now that you had such a great scan today - gives me more confidence (irrationally) that I might make 12wks as well Smile

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 22/08/2013 23:20

Yay rock!! How lovely if your scan place!! And yay omri too :) glad you both got great news today :)

Good luck for tmro pixie and pumpkin, will be thinking of you!

I'm at another wedding tmro, pulled an old wrap dress out of the cupboard in desperation as nothing else fits and phew it's actually quite flattering!! Last wedding of the year (I think) and I might even have a glass if wine with my tea :)

Bod I love BINTM!! Don't tell me who went out though, I've got it in catch up for Saturday morning :) (along with masterchef and maybe even celebrity bb! I know it's shite but not too bad a line up! I love trash too, especially when DH is still in bed and I wake up too early at the weekend! It's my guilty pleasure :)

Lieslvontrapp · 23/08/2013 07:03

Great news Rock! And you get to see baby again today!

Janie me too I sky+ BINTM and watch it Saturday mornings whilst DH is still in bed!

Rockchick1984 · 23/08/2013 07:21

Good luck today Pumpkin and Pixie! So glad your scan went well too Omri - apologies for not saying that yesterday, my head was battered and I was in a very self-centred place [thank]

Poppy not irrational - Guff went through it all at the same time as us too, and when she had a good scan a couple of days ago it gave me hope that mine could actually turn out well too. Plus your mn name - we have been calling this baby Poppy as it was the size of a poppy seed when I got BFP - definitely a good sign for you if you believe in things like that!

I love BINTM but just haven't been as keen on any of the girls this time - usually there's one I'm hoping to win, this season there's just been the girls I'm hoping wouldn't win!!

omri · 23/08/2013 08:27

Loving all the admissions of bintm! I can only watch when dp not around as he gives out to me for watching such rubbish Confused but I love it too.
Has anyone started watching great British bake off? First one was on Tuesday - love love love that show Smile

GuffSmuggler · 23/08/2013 08:34

Oh rock that's fantastic news, so happy for you Grin

What a load of drama though, am sure you could have done without that! I can't believe you EDD has jumped ahead of mine now! I wonder whose baby will come first...??

Thinking of you today pixie and pumpkin

And rock enjoy scan number two!

TeaAndANatter · 23/08/2013 08:57

Great news Omri and Rock!

Pixielady83 · 23/08/2013 11:29

so glad everything is ok omri and rock. what a hectic day for you rock! so nice for you to see baby twice though Smile

Just had scan and all ok, I'm 12+4 so back to original due date. Mw gave us lots of pics bless her. Wriggling baby with good hb. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed like I might need a very big cry. Still feel very weird at prospect of telling my mum and everyone else but I suppose it is time to share now. It's hard to just switch off the anxiety!

BirdsDoIt · 23/08/2013 11:40

Yay pixie that's fantastic! Congratulations! The relief must be huge so no wonder it feels like you need a bit of a weep.

I know what you mean about telling people but you can definitely take the plunge now Smile Exciting!

kjh5 · 23/08/2013 11:49

YAY pixie!!! Ooh I love a good wriggly scan story :) Makes me tear right up. What an awesome bank holiday present for you :)

Kat I do exactly the same thing - the Sunday show really is far too long! Can't be doing with X Factor anymore - the in fighting among the judges is really too much!

Hmmm DH is away on a stag do this weekend and I'm trying very hard to forget I MC'd at this exact point last time around so I'll need some distractions to get me through. Friends are all helpfully away doing exciting bank holiday things so I have stocked up on trashy novels, got a stack of TV recorded and if things get really dire I suppose I can always start clearing up all the tat we seem to have accumulated in the flat and take it to the nearest charity shop...

Thinking of you today pumpkin xx

Pentagon · 23/08/2013 11:50

fabulous news pixie! Congratulations!! There's no need for anxiety now and you should enjoy telling people! (I know how you feel though, last time I announced my pregnancy at 20 weeks, this time at 13 and I felt really weird and insecure afterwards)

bod glad the glucose test results came back normal - I hope you enjoyed all the cakes yesterday (yum...I'm hungry!)

Forester · 23/08/2013 13:17

Congratulations Omri, Rock and Pixie - it gives hope to the rest of us.

Hope you manage to distract yourself kjh over the weekend - shoe shopping always works for me!

shellsocks · 23/08/2013 13:29

Great scan news omri, rock and pixie very good to hear...hope you manage to relax for a while now Smile

Brill re the GTT bod Smile

So DH recorded the hypno script I've written last night...he has done an amazing job am very impressed he managed to take it seriously! (He did record a piss take version first which was v funny, but that's ok!) so I'm gonna start listening three times a week now and then daily when I go on mat leave, really really hope it works Confused How is everyone else getting on with the hypnobirthing stuff?

Saw the MW on Mon, all measuring fine etc. and had the whooping cough jab on Tuesday - otherwise nothing to report, pain is the same but I'm managing ok as we have made changes to what I have to do during the day.

Happy bank hols everyone Smile

IBelieveInPink · 23/08/2013 14:02

Shell - glad you coping with the pain. Poor you. Mine is quite mild at the moment, worse in mornings or evenins but luckily I have a desk job so is easy to ignore in the day.

Hypnobirthing - I love the book and cd, but am having massive issues getting to the end, or even the middle, of the cd! Keep falling asleep, her voice is so damn soothing! However I am struggling with sleep at the moment - keep waking up with sore hips, or sore boobs (really? Thought this was just first trimester) BUT whenever I listen to the cd it seems to put me in a much deeper sleep which is great! So is worth it just for that :)

BumpKitty · 23/08/2013 14:54

Great scan news rock, pixie and omri and good luk for round two today rock!

I did have a hypnobirthing CD with my first pg but I have no idea who I have lent it to, I could do with some good sleep!

I think my pain is down to a crap pelvic floor rather than my pelvis so I'm trying to do some exercises, god it's dull... Also the coccyx pain hasn't come back since starting yoga so that's good :)

Did you have any reaction to the jab shell?

shellsocks · 23/08/2013 15:41

I agree pink that the Maggie Howell CD is so relaxing! I wrote my own script because there were bits of hers that I didn?t buy into iykwim and I liked the idea of adding in a bit about picturing DS?s smile etc. so I tailored it based on the suggestions in the book?and I do understand the concept that hearing DHs voice saying 3 2 1 relax when in labour may be even more helpful if it is his voice on the cd? What do you reckon? Glad your pain isn?t too bad Smile

bump only thing is a sore arm, which has meant terrible sleep as I can?t lie on my right side as that is the side badly affected by the PGP, can?t lie on left cos of the jab and can?t go on back/front cos of bump?nice Grin

IBelieveInPink · 23/08/2013 15:51

My DH wouldn't even be able to begin reading a script bless him. He would instantly have a fit of giggles and that would be it. For the most part he is completely staying out of the Birthing bit - he will be there but he really isn't good with that kind of thing, and can't bear the thought of it enough to talk/learn about it. Probably going to be a shock for him when we get to it, but I'm going to be so prepared I will be 'in the zone' and it won't phase me. That's the plan anyway! As a result, I'm sticking with maggie :)

shellsocks · 23/08/2013 15:54

Ha ha my DH would defo have been the same first time round Grin He's done good tho so I'm made up with him for helping me out this time Smile

ChristineDaae · 23/08/2013 16:31

Been out of the loop for a few days and this thread moves fast!! Congratulations on all the good scan results, definitely feeling the posifrickintivity here!

Kat I'm making this for tea tonight - real comfort food! Or how about something like jacket potato, or bolognese? When I was at my worst with morning sickness, mash and gravy was my tea nearly every night, DH and DS had it with sausages but bless them, both are completely sick of the sight of it now Grin
