Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Locketjuice · 13/08/2013 21:34

I didn't feel any different last night when I went to bed at 10.30 but woke up at 1.30 to constant contractions so you never know what's round the corner!

Woodifer · 13/08/2013 21:55

Congratulations locket!

Mayanbob · 13/08/2013 21:57

Congratulations Locket another quick one! It seems everyone is popping them out. If you don't mind me asking- what number DC is this??

Locketjuice · 13/08/2013 22:57

No.2

Ds1 was 24 hours established labour and around the same before being 'established' so was truly a shock! Thought I had ages to get to hospital!Grin

Thank you x

LouiseD29 · 13/08/2013 23:29

Congratulations Locket! That's fantastic news (and, selfishly, exactly the kind of story I want to hear right now).

Am 40+3. Braxton Hicks, lots of twinges and a very hard bump all day today. I know it'll happen eventually!

Mayanbob · 14/08/2013 06:56

Thanks locket quite a difference then!

Will keep fingers crossed for you louise

39 weeks today. Still not a jot but happy with that at the moment. Am going into town to a coffee shop today with a book as active prevention from cleaning.

Snuppeline · 14/08/2013 07:18

Congratulations to those who had their babies. Incredible that two of the births were so quick! Throw some labour and quick birth dust my way please Grin

I had a poor nights sleep. Woke up at 2am and could not sleep again until 5am. Then up with my dd to get ready for nursery at 7am. I guess it's practice for what I have in store! Will make it a lazy day today I think...

same here!!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 14/08/2013 08:25

Due date, had a really bad nights sleep thanks to SPD and worrying about the pain being the start of labour when my mw isn't available til this evening. I'm not usually the type to take every little twinge seriously as I always go overdue and I've no reason to think this baby will be any different, but this morning I have grinding aching pain from my waist to my knees, I have a hot water bottle on my lower back and I'm considering taking paracetamol.

That said, I promised the kids I'd take them to playgroup this morning to meet their friends, which is a ten min drive (but I don't drive) if I don't they'll nag and fight all morning. In two minds. Confused Maybe a walk is what I need anyway, maybe a night of lying on my poor unstable pelvis is what has caused the pain.

Gerty1002 · 14/08/2013 13:41

Good luck JamesAnd - hope LO makes a punctual appearance today :).

I have just had my first "any news yet?" text... only 37+5 and I haven't even been telling people about my false alarm on Sunday. Ffs, potentially four weeks of this, that will drive me batty!

Duesoon0202 · 14/08/2013 19:49

Hey I'm 40 wks today and no sign of baby ever coming :( so so fed up . My first was 2 weeks early has anybody else been early with first and now due now but late

Duesoon0202 · 14/08/2013 21:15

I'm only 40 wks today but constantly getting messages all day ' have u had any twinges ' getting stressed by it already . Have had no signs of labour or bh or show. Does that mean that labour is still long way off ? I was at midwife yes I was still only 4/5 ths . Feel As though nothing will ever happen .

Gerty1002 · 14/08/2013 21:22

4/5 engaged or 4/5 palpable? If it's not your first baby I believe that doesn't necessarily mean labour is far off, as babies tend to engage later than in first pregnancies.

Duesoon0202 · 14/08/2013 21:33

Gerty1002 4/5 palpable . No it's my 2 Nd baby but just annoying cause first one came early and my bump was so low last time . Sick of trying everything and nothing's worked . Getting sweep on tue if nothing's happened :( but belly feels as though it could explode it can't get any bigger or harder

Duesoon0202 · 14/08/2013 21:35

Just read ur message gerty1002 and I feel sorry for u that the messages have started so early . My mum is calling me twice a day now to check on me

UnitedZingDom · 14/08/2013 23:38

4/5 palpable means baby is 1/5 engaged, because 4/5 of head can still be felt above pubic bone.

hth

Mayanbob · 15/08/2013 03:31

I seem to be joining the woke at 2 club. Fortunately DC1 so at least I don't have to tend to other DCs in a few hours.

Not expecting to go into labour
nor do I want to- got tickets to see Neil gaiman on SunGrin but m finding the evenings/ night times dull. I love having time to myself in the day, it's a precious rarity, but the evenings are lonely and I'm too sodding tired to go out.

Anyway, what to do until I fall asleep...? Sorry for the whinge.

Snufflebabe · 15/08/2013 06:58

Due date today. I had the worst nights sleep last night, tossing and turning (or should I say rolling as I am like a beached whale), up from 2-4am to eat. 5 toilet trips. Pressure and sharp pains but nothing new.

I am done. So tired and sore now. DD will be awake any moment so time to get up. Urrrgghhhhh!

MrBlondesFries · 15/08/2013 07:26

I had a horrendous nights sleep as well - sore throat, headache, covered in insets bites and was up every 1.5hrs to pee. Then toddler woke me up for the day at 5.30am. Feel awful.

Duesoon0202 · 15/08/2013 07:38

I had really bad pains during the night at bottom of my bump they only lated for about 20 mins but when I got them they were really sore and i was getting the pains about every 4 to 5 mins. They've now went away. Do u think they were bh or mini contractions or just baby moving really low

Thanks
I'm 40 +1

Duesoon0202 · 15/08/2013 07:40

United Zingdom

Yeah thanks
What does hth stand for ??

Boosiehs · 15/08/2013 07:48

Thanks for the good wishes. Currently sat in the hospital havig just sent DH off for his operation. 39 weeks today.

Really really hope that junior is sympathetic to all this and doesn't decide to make an appearance for a few more weeks! Although I feel like a whale. :(

My congratulaitons to alll you lucky ladies with quick births!

islingtongirl · 15/08/2013 07:55

Hope your DH's OP goes well Boosie - I'm 39 weeks on sat so similar to you. Mum is staying at the moment so kind of hoping nothing will happen for next few days (and am sure it won't and I will be here for another 2 weeks!) - for some reason would rather be alone or just with OH when labour starts, I guess it's just I have no idea how I will feel or cope, strange! Also don't want mum to worry! How is everyone else this morning? Sorry to hear some of you have had bad nights Hmm mine wasn't great either, up loads to pee, couldn't get comfy etc etc, seems the norm these days!

Boosiehs · 15/08/2013 08:11

Thanks v much Islingtongirl. You aren't too far away from me!

Boosiehs · 15/08/2013 08:13

Oh an I totally feel your pain about getting up for wees!!
