Right then! Come here if you are 4-12 weeks and can't stop fretting. Didn't think anything could be worse than the 2WW? Think again!

That sounds immense Motor

Same goes for you Nook!!

I felt quite sick and the only thing I could think of eating was pizza Blush. The good thing is I get so full that I can't eat much!

Back to healthy tomorrow!

NookNook · 03/08/2013 11:46

Motor not really sure why they but me on steriods. I think they just threw everything they could at me! It was my 3rd ivf so we were getting desperate. I've not been tested for NK cells but as this one worked it seems like that may have been an issue. I have to stay o rhe pred until 12 weeks and then be weaned off slowly. Fkrom what I've googled it seems that this is when lots of people's sickness really kicks in!

Quite a lot of brown sludge today... feeling a bit wobbly.

resipsa · 03/08/2013 19:31

Nook it'll be fine, I'm sure but share the worries out loud here until Pram comes on to ask you to join her sludge club.

MotorcycleMama · 03/08/2013 20:03

nook I'm sure it is fine, but call the clinic tomorrow for peace of mind. I called my clinic on Friday after hours of twinges in the same place of my abdomen, and it was just reassuring to hear that it is normal and nothing to worry about. They have seen it all, and know when to be concerned.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/08/2013 20:37

Nook I too am sure that everything will be ok. But it is always nice to hear an expert tell you it's totally normal x

NookNook · 03/08/2013 21:18

Thanks guys! I am trying not to freak out. I'll call the docs on Monday if it's still bothering me. I think it's calmed down a bit now.

Hello, preggo chums! I've been away for the weekend on some very last minute jaunt up to the Lakes. Lovely jubbly Smile

How's Sludgegate, Nook? Try not to be afraid, it really is innocuous and is summat to do with cervical erosion.

I've been so excited this weekend about becoming a mum. It's a miracle! Smile

PramQueen1971 · 04/08/2013 17:56

Ugh. Dreadful, awful news from the IVF Worriers thread. A lady has lost one of her twins when both came early at 28 wks. Over on the Assisted Conception thread a lady who was pregnant with IVF twins gave birth to both prematurely two weeks ago at 28 wks and they are both very poorly in intensive care Sad Multiple IVF pregnancies are so high risk and I now know what my midwife meant when she said I was very fortunate that only one of my embryos implanted.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/08/2013 18:43

Oh Prammy that's so sad Sad. I think people assume that twins is such a lovely thing, 'two for the price of one' but don't appreciate how tough it can be.

twinklestar2 · 04/08/2013 19:00

The thought of twins is lovely but the high risk, especially if you're older, is v v scary. I've read those threads too, pram. Very heartbreaking.

PramQueen1971 · 04/08/2013 20:10

Hiya, Twinks, you've been on my mind a lot. I like how you have stuck around for comfort and how you keep asking advice and for others' stories. Keep looking ahead, my love, you are very well-liked on these boards Smile How is your husband?

[waves to Nook]

Must go...there's trouble at T'Mill!

PramQueen1971 · 04/08/2013 20:11

Marbie, you watching T'Mill?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/08/2013 20:45

Pamface I'm sky plus-ing. Had dinner on the bubble and wanted to give it my full attention.

You watching the prog after it? Looks pretty tasty.

Twinks I second Pramadipramada. We love having you around!

twinklestar2 · 04/08/2013 21:58

Aw thx everyone, that's very sweet of you. OH is ok, he's been away with work and got back yesterday. Pram - he's started to take the co-enzyme q10, vit c and zinc, and vits a, c and e with selenium. Got them three for two from tesco on your advice :)

I've started to take an iron supplement too, anyone know if its ok to take with Pregnancare Conception?

I spoke to my mum today too. Didn't tell her the full story but a highly edited one. She was good about it which was nice. Eases the pressure a bit off us.

I'm not on any one thread, just milling around various ones, popping in and out. Not ready to update people every day on what I'm doing and how I'm feeling, etc.

That does mean I end up with massive long posts like the above :)

Hope you're all ok :)

PramQueen1971 · 04/08/2013 22:10

Unfortunately yes, marbs, I am having to suffer the interminable shit which is Southcliffe.

Twinks, great to hear your DH is taking the good stuff. Don't know owt about iron supplements - what makes you think you need them? You feeling abnormally shattered? I'm glad you've confided in your mum a teeny bit. We all need our mums. As long as we don't expect them to think exactly like us we can usually all rub along nicely, eh? I can't believe it was only a few months ago my mum threw the phone down on me after declaring she could never love a baby that wasn't biologically mine. Now she sends texts from 'grandma' telling me to rub my belly to let peanut know she loves it Hmm

twinklestar2 · 04/08/2013 22:15

Yes I'm tired and also I've been told my iron is low by the docs when he did all the basic tests. I'm also tired because of what I've been through, I understand that too. I'm trying to control the things I can control. Nothing more I can do.

PramQueen1971 · 04/08/2013 22:47

Ugh. My last post was insensitive, Twinks, at the end. Sorry. Was trying to say how mums can often come good.

twinklestar2 · 04/08/2013 22:57

It's alright. I've been holding off telling her for ages - 2 years in fact. She was great which was surprising and also comforting.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/08/2013 09:53

I'm glad your mums been supportive Twinks Smile

I have myself in a panic today. I'm worried the pregnancy may be ectopic. Since a few days after transfer, I have had scratchy and prodding feelings on my bikini line, but always on the left hand side towards my hip. So now I'm panicking it's cos it's in my tube. Do I need a slap or should I be worried?

PramQueen1971 · 05/08/2013 12:14

You need a slap my little plastic Matell doll. You would be in lots of pain by now if it was ectopic.

NookNook · 05/08/2013 12:15

My friend recently had an ectopic pregnancy and she was in severe abdominal pain. My feeling is that it would be pretty bad, especially by this point - you're nearly 7 weeks yes? Phone the midwife/doctor though. It's what they're there for.

If it helps I've had twinges and cramps the whole time. When I went to epu last wrek they did want to rule out ectopic because of the cramps. They would definitely scan you at the epu.

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/08/2013 12:20

Thanks Pramella that's what I needed.

Nook I don't even think I could describe it as a cramp. Just a funny sensation.

I'm just incredibly tired and sick today, and I really need my bed. Properly struggling today. I think my local epu is a bit rubbish, and I'm away up north again tomorrow and Wednesday. Sorry to be a moaning Minnie Wink

PramQueen1971 · 05/08/2013 12:54

Moan as much as you want, Marbie, that's why we're here! May I whinge about the fact that I am 7lbs heavier than when I got my BFP? This is not on but it is a First World problem

Marbie, did you say you had joined the March antenatal thread but were lurking? I'm sure I haven't seen you on there. I've seen you on the IVF Worriers, though, so 'marbie' you meant them (see what I did there?)

Where, o, where is EvelKnievel??

PramQueen1971 · 05/08/2013 12:57

...I hope the phallus and humour kebabs haven't done 'er in!
