New thread ladies!

Happy birthday for tomorrow Bod sounds like you have a lovely day lined up!
DH is looking after DS tomorrow so I can go for a trip into York and a mooch round the shops. First stop will be a child free latte in Betty's!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
andadietcoke · 12/08/2013 23:07

Ooh might try that. My birth plan will essentially be 'do whatever you have to to deliver the babies safely and keep me safe too'. No messing around with anything else. It's more that they haven't decided whether they want me to have a section or not. I don't care - will do whatever they recommend (as long as it's before 38w), I'll just feel more in control when I know what to prepare for.

Off to try crab walking up the stairs...

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 12/08/2013 23:37

3 people have told me that I have lost weight today! Confused Its true. My trousers are held up with baler twine!
I am 10 weeks on Thursday.

omri · 12/08/2013 23:48

Saggy are you throwing up with MS? Sounds like you need more fudge Smile I am throwing up about 4 times a day but have still put on loads- my work trousers don't button up so lots of long tops these days!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 13/08/2013 00:18

Nope. Thankfully.

MotorcycleMama · 13/08/2013 06:25

saggy I haven't put on a pound and I am 9 weeks, and no ms. I often look and feel bloated, but no weight gain as yet. Apparently it is not unusual to lose weight. Be pleased, it will soon change!

Rockchick1984 · 13/08/2013 07:22

Saggy I've not put any weight on yet either, when I was having DS I'd gained a stone by this point Blush but complete food aversion this time. I'm nauseous but only actually been sick a couple of times. Hoping not to gain too much this pregnancy - still carrying an extra couple of stone from last time so I'm keeping an eye on things and using this to keep track.

Meeting a friend for brunch today and I'm fairly sure she will guess I'm pregnant. Debating telling her although I really don't want to - she had 2 miscarriages before her DD so she knows what it's like, and if I tell her she will keep it to herself whereas if I don't tell her she will be speculating with our other mutual friends and I want to limit the number of people who know. On the other hand, last time we told a lot of people and it was awful having to "untell" them, and I know it brought back bad memories for her when I went through it. What do you all think? Tell or not?

pumpkinsweetie · 13/08/2013 07:24

Hi Anda , hope you get the safest birth possible! Not long now, until your babies are here, eeekSmile xx

Hello Lies finally got my scan date next fri, looking forward to that hurdle being over and hoping my girl is all healthy! From my 17wk scan they couldn't see any problems so i know its irrational to worry, but worry i doConfused

saggy i know what you mean about not putting on & losing weight instead. I lost 1/2 a stone in the first weeks and still haven't put any on at 19 weeks which is just aswell, as due to my bmi they only want me to ideally put on 11lb-20lb. Got a consultant appointment thurs, well they can't moan about my weight as all i can eat, is mostly fruit! Not looking forward to it tbh, at a size 16-18 i find it insulting but oh well what's best for baby is best for meSmile

jmf294 · 13/08/2013 07:42

Morning ladies.
Good luck today andadietcoke - hope you leave with a plan you are happy with, and it won't be long until your babies are in your arms - looking forward to the name reveal- hope you will tell us.
Welcome to all the new ladies and congrats on good scan news.
Hmm talk of fudge and chocolate!! I start every day with good intentions but am craving carbs by the afternoon. Had some delicious crumbly fudge on holidays!!
I'm looking forward to getting my running kit back on as I have exercised once since being pregnant.

I have another week of work this week- my last week off until maternity leave in November, great not to rush out of bed in the morning!
Have a good day everyone.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 13/08/2013 09:54

The weight thing is mad! I was in maternity trousers at this stage with dd! And I started weighing considerably more this time round!
I'm pushing 10 weeks now. I'm just starting to feel that this might actually happen! DP told his parents at the weekend and they were talking to me about the baby. It seems weird actually vebalising it! Confused

Pentagon · 13/08/2013 10:30

Motor & Kat congratulations on the good scans! Great start to the week Smile

Tea & kjh5 welcome and congrats on your bfps! I hope you have really boring, uneventful pregnancies!

Qaz really sorry you had to leave us shortly after joining but I hope we see you here again soon Flowers

hmmm all this talk about fudge and chocolate has left me drooling! I'm really into cakes (any cake) and chocolate with almonds - I need to have something sweet once or twice a day, every day (oink, oink)

anda you're almost there, how exciting! All the best for your scan and chat today, my lovely - they have to do what you're most comfortable with, right? I agree with saggy birth plans are a bit overrated and often pointless...but better write something down! Oh my goodness, you may have your baby girls in your arms this time next week - I'm welling up now Blush

kjh5 · 13/08/2013 11:05

I think I may have gotten excited about this BFP a little bit too soon. Had a bleed last night at work, managed to hold it together until the end of the shift and then woke DH up for a sob-fest. Think I need to stop holding on to some desperate hope that I might actually be able to stay preg this time and accept that this is not going to stick - will make it less devastating when the bleeding starts again... ugh! Sorry for the lack of posifrickintivity, maybe I'll make some more fudge...

Pentagon · 13/08/2013 12:41

kjh5 I truly hope it's not what you fear but one of those unexplained bleeds that some women get during pregnancy...can you call you local EPU and ask for a scan or is it too early? (are you 5 or 6 weeks?) x

kjh5 · 13/08/2013 12:53

Thanks Pentagon - it is actually way too early to go to EPU, I'm only 4+2. Although I have a GP appt on Friday, so if I haven't had any more bleeding by then maybe she'll refer me to EPU just to make sure its not ectopic or anything. It is super early still, hoping like hell all will be ok. Just have to play the waiting game I guess...

TeaAndANatter · 13/08/2013 15:17

Crossing everything for you, kjh5. That is truly sucky. x

ChristineDaae · 13/08/2013 15:37

Kjh I hope it's not bad news. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Anda how exciting that you are going to have your girls soon!!
Saggy - the last time I made fudge it had all weird and wonderful ingredients, but gutted that I spent last night thinking about fudge when I could have made some!!

pumpkinsweetie · 13/08/2013 16:15

kjh have my fx for you, hoping that it is an unexplained bleed xx

andadietcoke · 13/08/2013 16:32

kjh fx for you lovely. Don't give up yet. I bled on and off from 6w to 23w, I think it was lucky who was the same, and we're both still here.

shellsocks · 13/08/2013 16:39

Sorry not been on much lately, PGP has really ramped up over the weekend and it's got me down a bit worrying abt the next few months Hmm

So sorry to read of qaz and kjh's news, hope you are being looked after in RL x

Good news motorcycle very pleased for you Smile The NY gig has been cancelled on Sunday tho, devastated....one of crazy horse has broken their finger Hmm

Hi to everyone else Grin

Pentagon · 13/08/2013 16:42

anda how did it go today? What did they say?

andadietcoke · 13/08/2013 17:02

Thanks for asking pentagon - sometimes feel a bit Hmm bowling in with good news when people are feeling a bit unsettled.

Everything okay although Twin 2 is estimated at 8lb2 which I'm really hoping is down to some dodgy measurements! Booked in for an ELCS on 29th August if I get that far.

MotorcycleMama · 13/08/2013 17:06

Oh shell I've just looked up PGP - poor you! Are you able to work/get on with life as usual or is it very limiting? Bad news re the NY gig - I presume you get a refund?

Forester · 13/08/2013 17:07

Hi - please can I join? My stats are 1 DD, 1 MMC and EDD 24 March - so 8 weeks.

Earlier in the year I had a MMC at nine weeks (picked up at 10 weeks) so I'm finding it quite hard this time around. Last time I didn't know there was such a thing as a MMC - I thought you would always have bleeding. So now I'm paranoid each day that the PG has ended and I don't know. The main sign that I have that I'm still PG is that I feel a bit quesy - but I'm not getting this at a particular time of day. I've never known time go so slowly! I'm desperate to get to 10 weeks and then after that for the scan. But both dates seem so far away at the moment...

Though on a more positive note it's very good that I'm even PG as we'd been trying to conceive no 2 for 2 years before I fell pg at the beginning of the year while on Clomid. But this time I fell pg without any drugs. Smile

Pentagon · 13/08/2013 17:46

Great news anda! 8lb2, wow! But if you're having an ELCS it should be OK, no? So we have a date, woohoo!! Are you getting excited? You must so relieved that the method and date of delivery have been sorted out!

shell sorry to hear the PGP is so bad...and the cancellation sucks Angry

forester welcome and congratulations! I have had 2 MMCs so I know exactly how you feel. I also thought, before the 1st one, that you needn't worry unless you have heavy bleeding and pain... it was such a shock when we found out at the 12-week scan. I hope everything goes well this time!

kjh5 · 13/08/2013 18:12

Thanks for all the posifrickintivity! No more bleeding so far so I'm still pg and keeping my legs crossed until GP appt on Friday. Feel better after long chat with DH who is being lovely.

Anda you must be getting so excited! 8lbs sounds like a super healthy weight :) you have clearly been baking some good buns in there xxx

Welcome Forester - you are in good company here, everyone is lovely

IBelieveInPink · 13/08/2013 18:13

Diet - wow, a real date. How exciting!
What happens if you go into labour before then? Emergency c, or do they let you give it a go?
