New thread ladies!

Happy birthday for tomorrow Bod sounds like you have a lovely day lined up!
DH is looking after DS tomorrow so I can go for a trip into York and a mooch round the shops. First stop will be a child free latte in Betty's!

saggy it's funny you should ask... I made some yesterday! I'm very partial to a good bit of fudge! Mine is a south african recipe - I'm told its a creamier version of Scottish tablet...

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 12/08/2013 13:49

That post started well, then you lost me I'm afraid.
You don't mess with Scottish tablet. Ever. It is sacred.
Call it fudge, NEVER sully the holy tablet.

GuffSmuggler · 12/08/2013 13:53

Hi kjh5 hope you're here for many more months.

Good luck this afternoon Kat what an awful wait for you.

Great news motor so pleased you had good news.

I'm on the 12 week scan countdown, have got just over a week to go and it's like time is standing still. I've got to go through the tedium of booking-in on Weds and not sure I can face it. It's when I found out at 12 weeks last time and all the horrible memories and resurfacing. I know I MUST be positive though so just trying to keep busy....

saggy fudge is a bit sugary for me My new favourite thing is the percy pig chocolate from M&S, it's SOOOO yummy.

kjh5 · 12/08/2013 14:59

Wait! What?! M&S do PERCY PIG CHOC?! OMG - literally the most exciting news ever - how have I never seen this before? Percy pigs are a big guilty pleasure. I'm staring at a bag right now Guff...

RainbowConnections · 12/08/2013 15:34

Percy Pig chocolate Guff?? How does that work?

Welcome kjh5. I think nervous is very normal. Fingers crossed for you.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 12/08/2013 15:50

Ok. I am making fudge!

MotorcycleMama · 12/08/2013 15:52

santa could you take a friend but have them wait in the waiting room, so that they are there if needs be, but not sharing your most intimate moment?

saggy give into the temptation! I have found that fascinating about pregnancy, that you know precisely what you want. Luckily my desires have been a reasonable balance of healthy and unhealthy, and I have given into every one!

Welcome kjh5

guff it is so challenging going through the same routine as when you discovered mc before, but this is a different pregnancy, and there is no reason to think it will go wrong again.

GuffSmuggler · 12/08/2013 16:59

They are a whole chocolate pig in a box, they usually only do them at Easter but our M&S has some at the moment as it's some percy pig anniversary. It's like raspberry flavoured white chocolate and is DELISH.

I'm considering stocking up on a job lot to get me through the pregnancy Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 12/08/2013 17:02

Fudge came out beautifully! its got mint aero crumbled on the top!

pumpkinsweetie · 12/08/2013 17:16

Mmm fudge :) Envy and percy pig. Yum yum, off on a shopping spree i need to go!

kat that's brilliant - congratulations. Was just thinking about you and came on to find this. Great news, and a very grounded, sensible attitude!

saggy I now really really want rum and raisin fudge. Really. Percy Pigs might do as well. Oooh, think there might be some tangfastics in my hospital bag...

Welcome to the newbies too - congratulations - today you are pregnant Grin

BumpKitty · 12/08/2013 17:57

Ah that's a lovely post kat I'm very pleased that everything is as it should be, I hope you have lots planned for the next 3 weeks!

hi kjh5 :) and congratulations on your BFP

kjh5 · 12/08/2013 17:57

kat so thrilled for you I'm going to virtually fist pump on this page too!!! Hurrah!!

saggy I want fudge now! With aero! That is genius!

omri · 12/08/2013 17:58

Kat that is brilliant news! Congratulations - as you say - they saw everything they would expect to see at this stage in the pregnancy so can't ask for much more than that! Happy Monday eve now hope you can have a little celebration - might I suggest some fudge?

BumpKitty · 12/08/2013 17:58

hi anda good luck for tomorrow Grin just think by this time tomorrow you may well know when you are going to meet your girls!

kjh5 · 12/08/2013 18:12

Thanks so much for the lovely welcome everyone! dietcoke I hadn't actually allowed myself to think 'I'm pregnant'. Just got a huge lump in my throat.

God I hope this one sticks... Will feel a lot better once the spotting has stopped. Keep trying to tell myself that this time
I'm properly nauseous whereas I was only mildly queasy last time... Booked an appt with GP on Friday so hopefully she'll be helpful!

Lieslvontrapp · 12/08/2013 18:18

Great scan news Thunder, Motor & Kat! Hopefully you'll be able to relax at least for a little while!

Welcome Sleep, Tea & kjh5! Congrats on the bfps and here's to uneventful pregnancies.

Qazxc really sorry to hear your news. Hopefully you get confirmation of what's happened from gp or a scan.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 12/08/2013 18:20

So pleased to hear it kat! Flowers

I have to pop out tonight and you can bet your bottom dollar I'll try and buy some fudge from somewhere... Lived off the stuff whilst on hol in Cornwall! Thanks for that, saggy! Grin

andadietcoke · 12/08/2013 18:20

kjh I know - I was like that too. Still am some days. Don't worry too much about the spotting - I had it on and off until 23w (probably the last thing you want to hear!) and everything has been fine.

bumpkitty I know!!!! Very weird feeling. Have re-read all the different guidelines about having twins before 38+0 and am ready to fight my corner if I need to.

RainbowConnections · 12/08/2013 18:27

kat thats such happy news. Very pleased for you. I think you can chalk that hurdle up as your first happy milestone. x

Rockchick1984 · 12/08/2013 18:31

Brilliant news Kat - as our mantra says, TODAY YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!!

I always seem to like the idea of fudge more than the reality - apart from Cadbury fudge bars, they are yummy Grin

So happy for the god scan news today!
Saggy Angry I real want fudge, my local shop won't sell it and I don't drive! That's my evening spent sulking.

RainbowConnections · 12/08/2013 19:44

If anyone needs a theraputic cry/laugh/release of emotions and is feeling brave about connecting with being pregnant (this was me last week!) then there is a really sweet french documentary film on Lovefilm Instant called "Babies". I loved it so much i've got it on again.

santa i recall the 20 wk scan for DS being quite a long detailed one. I dont absorb information brilliantly in that type of situation so maybe good to have someone for that reason?

Guff its horrible when time seems to grind to a halt. Hope the next week doesnt drag horribly.
