Picked up prescription.

Its clotrimazole pessary.
You should of seen the pharmacists face when I asked if its safe to use even though im being induced on Saturday.

He was trying to find a polite way of saying as youve got to stick it so far up your faj you could burst yourwwaters.

Lol

Reebok have you tried smelling a nice soap?? I love the smell of talc powder I swear I could eat the stuff!

Reebok · 17/07/2013 18:54

Ouch sounds painful!

Most smells are making me nauseous and the awful metal mouth taste I have makes me feel worse. I tell you...I cannot wait to stop being pregnant! I hate pregnancy.

Isitme1 · 17/07/2013 19:30

I like being pregnant. Just not this pregnant lol.

Question for everyone
Are you going to breast or bottle feed?

ZuluWarrior · 17/07/2013 19:57

I have just bawled my eyes out because I smacked 2 year old DD's face off the corner of the table by mistake and split her lip. Blood everywhere. Feel like the worst mummy ever. She was laughing and eating her tea before I'd even stopped crying.

I'd never have cried like that if I wasn't pregnant.

wavesandsmiles · 17/07/2013 20:10

Oh Zulu hope you and DD feel better soon. I'm also feeling like a rubbish mum on account of being able to do bugger all with my DCs. Pregnancy hormones don't help at all.

Hi reebok, I'm still on meds but vomiting certainly less bad these days (well, for the past week I'm down to about 3 times a day) looking forward to not being sick at all soon.

I'm planning to breastfeed. It went fine after a few ouchy weeks with my other 2, and if it works then it is so much easier. I think it is partial laziness on my part, but anything I can do to reduce chores the better! Must admit that I'm a bit worried that I may have forgotten everything, my youngest, DD, is nearly 8 so it feels like a very very long time since the baby stage.

How's everyone doing this evening?

Reebok · 17/07/2013 20:15

That's a big improvement waves. I remember when I got down to that...felt so much better.

I have spent most of the evening in tears because of the heat. I can't take anymore. I feel so dizzy and nauseous and I just want to stop being pregnant! :'(

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 17/07/2013 20:48

Hi ladies, can I join please? I was due 16th July, had a sweep the same day and nothing! I have had period like cramping and tightenings of my belly with lots of pressure but they have come to anything. I have had this on and off since the sweep. Tonight I think I have lost some of my plug but it was a clear/yellowy colour, but not really sure, when I lost it with my first son it was a bit pinkish. When the midwife did my sweep on Tuesday she said I was 1.5 cm dilated and she stretched me to 2cm. I am going back tomorrow for another one if baby doesn't make an appearance tonight. Is

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 17/07/2013 20:58

Anyone else like me and fed up of the constant calls and texts to see if anything has happened?! Grrrr

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 21:03

reebok

I'm really worried that the dizziness and the nausea is caused by the iron tablets. alarm bells are ringing.

I want to tell you to stop taking them ( and switch to a lower dose), but I don't want to interfere with you care.

can you call your hospital or out of hours for advice about this?

I don't want to scare you, but I don't like the sound of you being dizzy. that's just not right

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 21:05

greentea

next person texts/calls this is the answer

"we had triplets a month ago but forgot to tell you. sorry. no time to talk, must dash!"

scoutfinch1 · 17/07/2013 21:20

Hi, can I join please. 39+1, due on the 23rd. Got very excited last night when I had a bit of pinkish show but apart from more bits of plug and a few twinges nothing happening yet, very disappointed.

Zingwidge I love that reply!

ZuluWarrior · 17/07/2013 21:27

Thanks everyone. DD is absolutely fine. I have recovered enough to do my tax forms (yawn).
Waves I had my first 2 at exactly the same gestations as yours. On Friday I'll be further on than both of them. I will not be impressed! Hope yours comes soon!
I'm planning to breastfeed. Although DD taught me that having fed successfully before does not make you an expert! I think she was harder that her big brother.

Reebok · 17/07/2013 21:59

Lol @that response zing.

It can't be the iron as I've been on them since 28 weeks...same dose too. Must just be the heat causing the nausea, hysterics and tantrums I've been having. I'm sure il be fine once baby is here and heat goes down.

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 22:15

if you are bf and have problems such as baby not putting on /loosing weight, sore/cracked/bleeding nipples, "constant" feeding, losing latch etc. then get baby checked for tongue tie

another thing - we all struggle to figure out why babies cry, but 1st time mums find it especially hard.

there's a mum called Priscilla Dunstan (Dunsten?) who identified 5 different kinds of cries and what they mean.
when you learn to recognize each cry you'll understand what baby is trying to say. and of course will be able to react correctly

it's fascinating. I only found out about her "Baby Language" theory with DD, and I have to say it is one of the most helpful thing I have ever found!
it works. all babies make the same sounds.

I'll link a good video tomorrow - or by all means Google it.

hope you all sleep well tonight
x

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 22:17

oh that's good reebok

well not good as such, but you know what I mean

stick your head in the fridge if you feel hysterical! Grin

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 17/07/2013 22:33

I love that reply thanks Smile

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 22:53

greenteaGrin

my personal most hatred phase is "are you still here?"
in person. to my face. with my belly sticking out. Angry Angry Angry Angry

ffs! used to give me the rage, but I learned to deal with that.

A: "where else would I be? we are face to face! oh you mean I'm still pg? what gave that away?"

or

"oh sorry to be an inconvenience, does it clash with your schedule that I haven't given birth yet?
I'll try and hurry up for your sake but I'm not actually due until (insert date).
I do apologise though, I hate to disappoint you .."

either answer must be delivered with accompanying doe eyes and cheese smiles! Grin

(and of course you are allowed to swear silently or give them the finger mentally)

Chocomama1 · 17/07/2013 22:58

"Have you not had that baby yet?"

Yes i just decided to stuff my top full of pillows...

LittleMilla · 17/07/2013 22:59

Feeling brighter having spent the evening out at a gig with DH. Danced my feet off, hopefully DS2 will get the hint it's time to come out!

Yes to whoever mentioned the stabby feeling in cervix. Like they are poking it with scissors!?!?

Had a bit of plug tonight, so excited Blush.

Also planning to bf. had a good time with ds1 so praying that we're both able to work well together again as I too am too lazy to bottle feed!

Sending labour vibes to all of you tonight! Let's hope this waiting game ends for someone overnight! x

Chocomama1 · 17/07/2013 23:02

Haha yes it does feel like they are trying to stab their way out.
Tomorrow i am cleaning this house from top to bottom... that should get him going.

OP posts:
Reebok · 17/07/2013 23:23

Oh thank god the stabby feeling is normal. Been having it all day and its getting worse. DH took me for a long walk right now to encourage bubba out. Here's hoping! Still no mucus plug though :(

Come on baby...out you come already!!!

Isitme, yes I'm planning on bf.

Zing lol @ the fridge...I've done that a few times today already to cool down. Not worked.

Reebok · 17/07/2013 23:24

I love this group...so much easier to rant and complain to women who understand and know what I'm going through. People in rl are getting a little fed up of my complaints and constant questions (being a first time mum).

Chocomama1 · 17/07/2013 23:28

Dont worry reebok.... we are in it together!!!!!

OP posts:
ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 23:40

aahhh Reebok I could never be fed up with you - or any of you!Smile

Equally, I hope you don't mind me ranting on about my experiences and giving advice - they are rarely welcome in RL as people think I'm showing off or whatever - I just want to help and offer support!

and I can't wait for all these babies to pop out, I'm so excited for all of you!
