Beans and airfryer - I had around two hours sleep last night so feeling the same. Had a very strong urge to go for a walk at around 4am, was very awake! There is the distinct possibility of naps today...

Oh I've given up thinking I'm ever going to have a baby. Although I'm glad my labour didn't kick off last night after all - OH went out for the first time in months, and came back absolutely mortal and he's very VERY poorly now! I'd love to be sympathetic but I can't help remembering the 18wks of morning sickness Wink

Congratulations mrsspagbol! Wonderful news - thanks so much for coming back to tell us. So encouraging to hear that the waiting does eventually turn into babies! Hope you enjoy every minute with your wee girl. Grin

Here, I've not slept since 3 and have realised that i) my 'trapped wind' pains don't seem to be relieved by passing wind or using the loo and ii) they seem to come every 10-12 minutes and last for about 30 seconds.

Wondering if something useful might be happening after all. All still quite mild, though, so holding off on waking DH and sharing this wishful thinking anywhere but MN!

Up most of the night with lots of discomfort under bump, but pretty sure it's all down to trapped wind. This plus constant need to wee very tiring and annoying, but I guess due to baby moving lower and everything getting compressed? Do wish if I were going to be up at night and in pain that it was at least useful pain... Sad

Hello! I haven't been around for a little while as my little man has been keeping me busy with his constant feeds - he's already stunned the midwife by gaining, rather than losing weight in his first week! He's beautiful Smile. Have been well myself, although I could have done without my stitches getting infected. Poor DH witnessed the tear and has announced that he does not want to be 'down the business end' next time...

After nine months of vague confusion I know understand the importance of buying muslin cloths Grin

Congratulations to everyone who has delivered and commiserations to those still waiting to pop in this humidity! Reebok I've been thinking of you even though I haven't been able to keep up with the thread - hoping your disappearance means you are snuggled up with a new arrival Flowers

Hello! I'm very new to the thread Zing but I'll answer you anyway! 39+2 and just braxton hicks but still obsessively knicker checking for signs of a show. Got very down last night about things not happening (already had with dd by this point) but trying to be positive today.

Any news from anyone else? I spoke to Reebok on a different thread and presume she's probably in the thick of it or with her baby by now?

Congratulations Tom!!! What wonderful news to wake up to!

Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know while in the first days of getting to know your DD. Can I tell you how encouraging it is for someone still waiting to see your posts going from 'nothing to report' to 'refusing to sleep in Moses basket' in just a few days? Smile

Enjoy every minute with your new girl and congrats again. Grin

As for me, still absolutely nothing to report.

Evening all.

Harriet Eleri born at 5pm today. Went to hospital at 1.30, was 4cm. Things cranked up quickly, waters broke at 445 and Harriet born 15 min later Grin. All fine, back home now.

Thanks zing for your endless advice, patience and reassurance.

Good luck all!

Yes, same due date! I'm with you on the knicker checking, anything to suggest it might happen soon. Got a mw appointment on Tuesday and she may offer me a sweep if I'm favourable, kinda hoping I won't need one though Hmm

I hate bloody braxton hicks, never had any with dd and now getting loads in the evenings. Really annoying that they're kind of uncomfortable but nothing like the real thing. Also I keep knicker checking every time I go to the toilet as the bloody show was the first sign things were starting with dd. Feel really sorry for myself tonight.

Lola I think your due date is the same as mine (7th)?

Tell me about it. I've just had a major cry and wailing session on my poor OH because I'm so uncomfortable! I'm hot and tired and sick of contractions that go nowhere and just generally sick to death of being pregnant. The realisation that there is no chocolate and the shop is closed was the final straw for me haha!

Hello, can I join you? Been lurking on this thread for a while but only 39+1 today. Does that qualify me yet? Waters broke with dd at 39+1 so I think I've been banking on it happening by now and as it hasn't I'm very annoyed tonight. Trying to stop thinking about it but it's impossible.

Went for a sweep today (am 40 + 1)

Midwife said I was still quite thick, 2cm long and posterior. I've got some clary sage oil, has anyone used this??
