Grin at miss smarty pants!

Isitme1 · 17/07/2013 10:41

Oh god im hungry already! !

Anyone had back to back baby??
This1 is so wondering what will be different. Cant really compare to 1st as that was just a failure on the hospitals behalf.

Reebok · 17/07/2013 10:57

Mmm ice cream sounds like a great idea! Sorry isitme, no idea!

I have my gigantic feet once again! :(

Spent the night in tears because of the heat and constant feeling of wanting to vomit. Feel a bit better so far this morning now that I've eaten. Hopefully the nausea won't return again today.

Isitme1 · 17/07/2013 11:11

Hope you do feel better today.

Ive received a letter from the hospital to say 'I have an infection contact gp to get the appropriate treatment'
If its thrush can I use anything for it so close to induction/labour and with plug gone??

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 11:17

smarty pants back on - is it Strep B?

if it is baby is fine for now, but if your waters break you'll have to go to hospital so they can put you on an antibiotics drip.
depending on how long you are on it before baby's born, they might keep you in a bit to observe baby.

no need to worry though. just talk to a MW to explain it more.

(and yes, I have got it.)

Isitme1 · 17/07/2013 11:35

I've had thrush in the past with this pregnancy and they normally write its thrush.
Ive got 'something waiting for me' at the pharmacy as prescription was done yesterday.

Which the gp should of rang to say x

Reebok · 17/07/2013 12:13

Hopefully whatever it is will clear up soon isitme. Try not to worry.

Getting more discharge today! Yuck! Hate wearing panty liners in this weather. And having period type pains again on and off all morning in front and lower back. Decided to take a walk (yes I'm mad!) in this awful feet in the hope of pushing things along...I've just come back with feet even bigger than before! Off to soak them in a bowl!

LittleMilla · 17/07/2013 12:22

'Woke up' this am feeling v depressed. Woke is in inverted commas as I had yet another terrible night's sleep and feel exhausted Hmm. Had thought that things could kick off after sweep yest but nothing. Although feeling this shattered I'm not sure it'd be great if I did go in to labour.

Also feeling stressed about baby being back to back. Trying everything to turn him as I'm desperate for a normal birth this time. DS was breech and so I had a section without even feeling a contraction.

Sorry for indulgent rant, just feeling shitty today.

Isitme1 · 17/07/2013 15:27

Reebok I think your my long lost twin lol
What ever ive done today you've done and what evee you've felt ive felt lol. Ive also had more discharge and been on a very long walk shopping

Milla takes the piss when a child doesn't listen lol
Try going down on all 4s.

I have some news from babycentre. According to them giving your partner oral and swallowing is better for your cervix rather than bog standard sex! Mind you id still rather have sex than do that right now lol

Isitme1 · 17/07/2013 15:40

Miss smarty pants should I still be bleeding?

Its like streaky red pinky blood in mucus.
Also some of the mucus is darker than cream like snot colour when its not that dark. If that makes sense and sorry for tmi.

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 15:53

isitme1

seems reasonable!

never too much information!

until I'll tell you my prune related incident while in labour a bit of bloody mucus is amateur stuff!Grin

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 16:00

I swear the BJ theory was invented by some males wanting the most out of a desperate situation - when we might fall for some fake science just to get the baby out!Grin

I really want that turned into a comedy sketch where a husband explains the theory with a straight face to his overdue wife - while there's a running subtile "translating" what he is thinking exactly! Grin Grin

Reebok · 17/07/2013 16:37

Lol isitme...must be!

Ladies anyone getting awful stabbing pains in their lady bits? I've had them before but today seem worse...almost like baby is trying to dig out. Makes me scream. Doesn't last long but hurts like hell and it's worse when I have the period cramps at the same time.

marushka82 · 17/07/2013 16:44

hey ladies, so I'm 39 weeks as of today and still nothing. I think the baby is afraid of the heat. I checked weather forecast for next week yesterday and I was nearly in tears as it's going to be 35-36 degrees Shock Shock!!! I couldn't fall asleep for ages last night, mainly worrying how on earth the baby is going to cope with this heat... Then spent all morning desperately trawling through all websites known to man looking for fans, only to discover everything is out of stock! Finally found a fan on B&Q website and it should be delivered tomorrow! Feel like I won the lottery or something!
How are you planning to make the babies comfortable in this heat? Please tell me I'm not the only one worried about that! Grin

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 16:53

Remember the awful heatwave in August 2003? DS2 was only a few weeks old.

I just kept him in a nappy, in the shade or inside.
when it was really hot I would wipe him down with a wet cloth several times a day or gave him short bath to cool down

a fan is great (but I can't stand the noise at night)

oh and he had a heat rash for weeks - nothing you can do about it.

I really feel for all of you, DS1 was also a July baby.

TwoOfThree · 17/07/2013 17:06

No stabby pains here. Lost my plug this morning, or at least some of it- lovely. But other than that nothing. Bump keeps stretching and moving about but it's all going so slowly. Feeling hot and grumpy. Have a sweep booked in tomorrow but I just want to get started now! Shovelling down pineapple and sniffing my clary sage. Come on baby.

Hope you are all progressing faster than me and surviving in this heat!

Isitme1 · 17/07/2013 17:07

Reebok im not saying anything. yep

I love having the fan on!!
Im worried about the heat too. Will ask mw once baby is born about baby and clothing.

Ds 1 was born at start of winter so don't have a clue

ZingWidge · 17/07/2013 17:13

TwofThree

I have my smarty pants now firmly stuck on, so I must warn you that too much pineapple can give some people diahorrea (sp)

try eating fresh pineapples with a little sprinkling of salt, it's delicious! suggestion of a Malaysian friend

wavesandsmiles · 17/07/2013 17:17

Can I join? I'm 38 + 1, and a bit fed up! Been having on off contractions since Friday night and loads of period cramps. DD arrived at 38 weeks and my first, DS at 39 so really hoping that this one is going to follow suit and appear fairly soon!

Have tried imagining cervix as a flower, and keep reminding myself that all this should mean a quicker active labour but it isn't much fun in this heat is it?

TwoOfThree · 17/07/2013 17:19

Thanks for the tip Zing! I'm limiting it to about 1-2 portions a day so not going too mad, but willing to try about anything at this point!

Reebok · 17/07/2013 17:19

Hmm my long lost twin..so do you think it's a sign of labour or baby just smacking its head on my lady bits? Don't want to get excited yet.
Marushka I've been worrying about the heat too n how bubba will cope because I'm definitely not coping well as an adult!

Twoofthree, that sounds exciting about the plug. Hopefully things will progress!

Isitme1 · 17/07/2013 17:32

Pineapple didn't work with me I do hope they work with you!

Long lost twin Im thinking of it as the cervix at the bottom is beginning to dilate and baby is doing the work from the top. It fucking hurts. A lot. Thats the pain I cant do with. Contractions are easier to cope with lol.

Reebok · 17/07/2013 17:41

I was thinking that's what it could be but was unsure. It sure does kill!

Welcome waves! I know you from the HG support thread. How are you feeling now? I managed to come off my meds at 37 weeks. Feeling much better besides the slight nausea I've had for the past day or so.
