Glad I'm not the only one marushka. I don't really have the patience for all this waiting around. I've got a feeling I'm going to be about another week.

cogito so pleased for you! Keep going, each one bring you closer to your baby.

marushka82 · 25/07/2013 16:17

I think I may have lost the plug - I've had some bleeding after the examination yesterday (the midwife tried to do the sweep but couldn't get far enough) and I've had a bit of brown discharge today, some of it snot/jelly like (ugh, sorry for TMI) and not smelling like blood (yes, I'm desperate and examined it :)
Can the plug be brown? I read that either sex or an internal exam may result in the plug unplugging, so maybe something is finally starting?

TomDaleysTrunks · 25/07/2013 16:21

Yep sounds like your plug has gone Grin. Brill news.

cogitosum · 25/07/2013 16:53

Getting more intense but not more frequent. Just want to lay down and sleep for a bit but standing makes them more bearable

TwoOfThree · 25/07/2013 17:44

Ladies!

Sorry for the silence, I went and had a baby!
Born this morning by EMCS after eight hours of labour. Our beautiful daughter is sound asleep in my arms.

I really hope you haven't got to wait much longer. Being overdue is REALLY hard and you are all doing amazingly well. Thank you for keeping me company through the last weeks!

TomDaleysTrunks · 25/07/2013 18:08

Try going for a walk, I found that a good distraction last time round. Do you have a tens machine?

Massive congratulations two. Fab news. Enjoy those precious newborn cuddles.

ZingWidge · 25/07/2013 18:32

congratulations Two !Thanks

1 out, 2 (or more) to go! I just love it when I'm right...Wink

RememberingMyPFEs · 25/07/2013 21:41

Congrats two! That's great news. Hope all is well after your section.

Cogito and Reebok - you won't be long now I'm sure, hopefully I'll be hot on your heels...

I'm bouncing away hoping to hasten her engagement. Consultant appt on Tuesday and I'll be pushed for IOL. Really want her to come naturally so I can be on birth suite/in pool not on delivery suite. Come on baby girl, we want to meet you!

TomDaleysTrunks · 25/07/2013 21:47

That's how I feel PFE, I just want to meet them now!
Few tummy cramps while bouncing on my ball. Prob due to the cornetto I've just chowed!

wavesandsmiles · 25/07/2013 21:58

Congrats two!

I'm still in latent labour and spent all day up at hospital due to high protein in my wee. They have given me codeine there and some more for tonight so hoping for my first night of sleep in a few days.

If nothing happens I am having a stretch and sweep Monday, but then nothing for a week after that. Stupid protocols. I've had HG throughout, am physically exhausted due to lack of calories and now severe pain for over 2 days. Baby is a perfectly good size and healthy, but they won't consider anything in terms of iol. Ah well, at WORST I have 2.5 weeks left of this.

Come on babies, hurry up.

HJBeans · 25/07/2013 22:18

Nothing happening here except baby getting into an extremely uncomfortable position a few hours ago and not getting out of it. It's like he's come out of the pelvis to do star jumps with all limbs pushing out. Feels like top of bump will burst and there's no comfortable position for me. Can't help but feel baby moving up as due date approaches can't be a good sign.

Hope things keep moving for you, cog and reebok, and congratulations two.

ZingWidge · 25/07/2013 22:19

attention! this is a customer announcement!

would all babies go to check out asa and leave the premises promptly and ordely!

there's no need to panic, we'll open all exits for safe and quick departure!
the building structures are under huge strain and any more stress or pressure would make the building(s) collapse into a blubbering mess.

so please would all babies head down (see what I did there!Grin) to the exit and leave the building immediately, please?!

thank you for your cooperation.

Grin Grin

ZingWidge · 25/07/2013 22:21

*asap

not asa

TomDaleysTrunks · 25/07/2013 22:21

You sound shattered waves. Glad you've got some codeine and really hope you can sleep tonight. Hope you've also got some anti sickness.

marushka82 · 25/07/2013 22:27

Waves - keeping fingers crossed you get some sleep tonight and have your baby tomorrow!

Went/Waddled for another longish walk tonight, hopefully I start getting some of these contractions everyone is raving about, lol. I'm trying to be patient but I really really want to meet this baby!

Good luck ladies!

Reebok - you've been quiet, I hope this is it? :D

Isitme1 · 25/07/2013 22:46

Hows reebok doing?
Congratulations to all those who have delivered and good luck to those who are left

Back in hospital due to losing clots and temp.
They've started iv antibiotics
X

Isitme1 · 25/07/2013 22:47

Lol love the announcement zing!!

cogitosum · 25/07/2013 22:48

Now every 4 mins. Called labour ward who said they can tell from my voice I'm not in established labour and to stay home grr this is what I wanted to avoid... Bloody uncertainty!

Reebok · 25/07/2013 22:54

Congrats two of three. Good luck to cogito and waves!

Not there yet marushka...midwife says sounds like I'm in latent labour. Just what I wanted to here so could be a while. Been in pain all day but contractions still irregular and I'm exhausted from lack of sleep. Been trying to sleep during day but get woken up by pain.

Keeping fx for rest of you ladies.

HJBeans · 25/07/2013 23:09

Good luck, cog, and do go in when you feel you need to. Had a friend who got the 'I can tell from your voice' line and finally went in against instruction only 15 minutes before her baby arrived. She just had a calm voice and high pain tolerance!

Hope you get some rest tonight, reebok.

marushka82 · 26/07/2013 00:06

Just to change the subject a tiny bit, does anyone know what 'head @ -1' means in notes? I searched for this online, but can't find anything...

ZingWidge · 26/07/2013 00:44

marushka

I'm pretty sure it means had is 4/5th (80%) engaged.

-2 would be 3/5th
0 would be 5/5th aka fully engaged.

(but I could of course be wrong)

marushka82 · 26/07/2013 00:50

thanks Zing! Yup, she wrote 1/5 palpable so I guess head 4/5ths engaged :) yay.
Now I want some contractions please! (and no more heartburn)

ZingWidge · 26/07/2013 00:55

ok scrap that about 5/5 = fully engaged. it isn't! sorry everyone! Blush

x/5 refers to how much baby's head is felt above pelvis/pubic bone. I've just looked it up!
so 5/5th means not at all engaged as all of it can be felt during an external exam! 1/5th means hardly anything can be felt
0/5th means nothing can be felt so head is fulky engaged!

sorry again!

and because of that I'm not sure about the -1thing now.
so sorry Blush

ZingWidge · 26/07/2013 00:59

yes 1/5 palpable is much better way to decribed it!
and -1 must mean 1/5 as in almost fully engaged.

( I did remember that it was like T-1 as in almost time!Grin )

so that's good news! yay!
