I'm due on the 17th...2nd baby and so excited. Currently in slow labour so contractions in the evening completely irregular and turning into a disappointing nothing!!!
How are you getting along??

Today is my due date and still nothing, not a twinge. Baby's gift to me last night was an awful heartburn that kept me awake for hours. Thanks baby! Now come out!
I'm off to my hospital appointment in a minute. Wonder whether they'll agree to do the sweep...

Hey guys, just got back from the hospital, baby's head is 4/5 ths engaged so at least that is some progress from last appointment. I asked for a sweep and the midwife agreed, but she couldn't (sorry a bit tmi) get far enough (not sure why). She must have disturbed something there because I've had a bit of bleeding since then - is that the plug maybe? Is it normal?

I had exactly the same thing last week marushka. I wasn't dilated so she couldn't do sweep but bled afterwards then yesterday she was able to get a finger in and did it and had more bleeding and show (which was more gungey)

whew, thanks Cogito! I was getting worried. Next appointment is next wednesday but I'm secretly hoping I won't need it. She said my cervix is soft and it's shorter, so surely that's a good sign? :D

I'm just back from hospital too. Definitely in early labour but the little monkey is back to back which is why I'm not getting any respite from the pain even between contractions. Soooo tired but happier to be in my own surroundings and just running a warm bath.

marushka the show/plug is a bit like snot, could be loose or a bit thick.
the bleeding after sweep is not like that - or was it?

the cervix sometimes can not be reached if it's to far back or high - it means nothing in terms of your health or giving birth, no need to worry about that!

Zing, thanks! Hmm, wasn't like snot so maybe it's not plug then. Gonna call them if the bleeding doesn't stop. It's not bright red so I guess nothing to worry about.

Oh, and I bought a pineapple :) and will try to beg/plead/convince DH to DTD :D

Just a quick update from me - DS born at 5am yesterday morning. He is beautiful, so I forgive him for keeping me awake for 36 hours straight. Guess it's good practice

Nothing happening here, just had a long lazy lunch with pals. Cheered me up a bit!

Still no signs here. Contractions only seem to come at night. So have spent the day eating and cooking...cooking and eating! If this appetite carries on, I'm going to be massive!

Got pain from my back which is coming all over my stomach too. It's not coming and going like usual and I feel a need to poop but can't. Are these contractions or constipation pains? Because I thought contractions come and go but increase in severity. Been feeling this since around 8 when I was having a bath.

And stomach hardens every now and then. If these are contractions, how do I time it?
