How are you getting along??

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
mamachelle · 19/07/2013 19:35

lol zing i think baby got the message loud and clear Smile

im not sure how i feel atm bit contractiony, bit sick (nerves?) mostly excited though!

funny thing is that dh had just said to me ten mins b4 "what will you tell the girls has happened if your waters break in front of them"

my reply "suck it up and say i had an accident. but thats not going to happen anyway is it!"

Reebok · 19/07/2013 19:53

Mama that is great news! Hopefully there will be a baby by morning. Keep us in the loop! Just been for another very long walk. Feet ache like hell and have turned into a balloon but no cramps unfortunately. Think I need to jump around a bit!

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 19:56

hope Milla's doing ok.

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 20:04

I quickly read through from OP to my 1st post - no one has come back yet to announce baby yet.

I think Milla is going to be the "ice-breaker"

LittleMilla · 19/07/2013 20:12

We did it! Still in hospital as had meconium in waters.

Exhausted and sore bit ok. 3-10 cm in an hour. Oweeeee!

wavesandsmiles · 19/07/2013 20:14

HUGE congrats Milla enjoy newborn cuddles. Sounds super fast Smile

Now for the business of evicting the rest of these babies....

Reebok · 19/07/2013 20:23

That's excellent news! Congrats milla! Hope you're both doing well. What did you have? Boy or girl?

Stupid question but erm what's meconium?

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 20:37

meconium is baby poo

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 20:39

Milla

CONGRATULATIONS!

you are a ?!

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/07/2013 20:45

Congratulations Milla! Fab news, well done.
May you have broken the lack of baby movement on this thread!

Things here have died down again. Angry

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 19/07/2013 20:54

Milla- huge huge huge congratulations well done. Hope you're both well. Smile

Well I'm in a tepid/warm bath, and nada nothing. I've been and done the food shopping and nothing. I'm debating whether to go and have a bounce on the ball or just go to bed and chill. DH bought me some galaxy ripples do the latter is the way I'm swaying. Hopefully these baby's wil get a wriggle on. X

Isitme1 · 19/07/2013 20:59

congratulations and thank you for letting us know.
How are you both doing?
Boy or girl?

Mama can I ask where did your waters break? I kept thinking mine would break while out shopping lol.

X

mamachelle · 19/07/2013 21:18

congratulations milla, hope you and baby are both well! enjoy your new baby cuddles!

isitme, waters went mid convo with dh sat at the dining table. most definitely glad it was at home since it was a very heavy leak that hasnt stopped yet and i thought i might have felt it coming.

Reebok · 19/07/2013 21:40

Mama can I just ask what it feels like when your waters break? And just how much water are we talking here?

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/07/2013 21:47

My waters broke suddenly with DD in the middle of the night. I woke up, felt a pop and suddenly my waters gushed everywhere. They carried on leaking for 48 hours.

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/07/2013 21:47

Oh and it was A LOT of water. No mistaking it.

wavesandsmiles · 19/07/2013 21:53

My waters didn't break with DS until I was in active labour and heading for transition. Felt a pop whilst I was in a deep bath, got out shortly after and suddenly it was like a waterfall Blush

With DD I had ARM when I got to 9cm with no progress (induced labour). Midwife broke my waters and she came out in 2 pushes moments later. LOTS and LOTS of water. Never experienced waters going outside of the delivery suite or before I got to very near second stage labour, so not really expecting my waters to break in advance of things this time.

Any more contractions Mama?

BraveLilBear · 19/07/2013 21:53

Woop congrats Milla! Sounds like a trial and a half but yay to babies listening to eviction notice

Good luck mamachelle!

mamachelle · 19/07/2013 22:17

no contractions now which is actually quite nice as am sat in my cool, beautifully quiet garden with dh eating choc and watching the bats fly around Smile

dds 1 and 2 were induced and waters broken for me so cant remember fully. dd3s waters were bulging at arrival at hospital (very full, heavy feeling), as soon as they broke she almost fell out lol that was a huge gush, kind of explosion like. very surreal!

with these waters now, think of if you have a coughing fit while heavily pregnant with a full bladder. it was a small burst and i stood up confused, went to the bathroom and it trickled and i have since had lots of small gushes and changes of maternity pads lol

tmi but thats how it was Smile

LittleMilla · 19/07/2013 22:33

Quick update from us as pethadin finally worn off and feeling normal (ish). Had a little boy and he weighed in at 8lb 9oz, no name as yet - brain too befuddled to decide.

Came in, got sent home after monitoring as only 1/2 cm. got back and within 30 mins waters went pop and we noticed meconium so raced back in.

All went mentally quickly after that. Pain was so intense that gas and air nt working so asked for a pethadin jab at 4pm. Had only just gone in and I started transitioning and needed to push. Had gone from 3-10cm in just 45 mins. Pushed for 30 mins or so and out he came.

I just feel so relieved. He was back to back but turned. I was on all fours which seemed to help at the end.

Shattered but got nervous excitement. Been told to wake him up in a sec for a feed as they're worried about dehydration in this heat.

Good luck everyone else. Grin

RememberingMyPFEs · 19/07/2013 22:57

Congrats Milla I hope all is well and no issues from the meconium. Enjoy your snuggles with your DS Thanks

Reebok · 19/07/2013 23:14

Pains started up again. Partly contractions, partly a need to go loo every 2 mins. I know it will come to nothing again because seems to be happening every evening this week.

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 23:35

ahh, a little MillaBoy! sweet! Thanks

so happy for you! please kiss his little tootsie from me! x (I don't have a foot fetish, but baby toes are so yum!)

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 23:35

*tootsies! all of them!

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 23:38

Reebok you'll get there honey!
(squidge)

eat something if you can, drink a bit of water, take some paracetamol and rest.

don't worry about the paracetamol masking pain completely, when it's the real thing you'll feel it!

I'm up for a bit...
