isitme1

poor you! I sympathize!

DD was a VBAC and thank goodness I chose that as I managed to push her out with no tears!
BUT

when I was fully dilated and was told I can push all the pain disappeared and I panicked and decided I'm not pushing!
I told the midwife I changed my mind and I want a C-section!
cue Shock faces.
I kid you not I folded my arms, pouted and shook my head! Grin
I would have stomped my feet too, like a tantruming toddler!
It was utterly bizarre.

MW and DH were trying to convince me, but I was refusing.
I only decided to start pushing because I thought MW might slap me otherwise!Grin Grin Grin

that should cheer you all up. Wink

  • no tears - as in no tearing & no stitches
Reebok · 19/07/2013 16:10

Lol that story made me laugh! Made my day!

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 19/07/2013 16:19

Lol isitme, eviction warning has been passed on.

Emotional wank-love it.

I feel like this baby is never going to come out. There's just nothing's so far. Doesn't seem the slightest but interested!!

Isitme1 · 19/07/2013 16:31

Thank you zing. Might try that myself.

Id be happy if they said your a few cm dilated and we can break your waters. I really dont fancy the pessaries.

Eatchoc this baby is that comfy I can still see his limbs shooting out of tummy!

I would love not to tear.
X

Reebok · 19/07/2013 16:59

I keep seeing the same thing with the limbs twin! Lol

My stomach hurts...keep wanting the loo but either can't go or go too much. Sorry tmi again! Fed up and very uncomfortable with irregular stomach tightenings.

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 19/07/2013 17:00

Yeah I get random limbs deciding to make an appearance or a bottom in under my ribs. There's def no moving this baby.

Isitme1 · 19/07/2013 17:03

Lol twin. Your copying me again or is it the other way round?
It looks sooo weird to someone else when that happens!!!
X

Reebok · 19/07/2013 17:15

Lol Yeh very true. Still make my DH and mum jump when they see limbs. I'm use to it on the other hand although find it more painful now that there's less room.

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 17:26

ok about tearing - listen to your MW!
when they say stop pushing you have to stop!

it makes all the difference!
with 2 youngest it was a few (5? 10?) minutes of push-stop-push-stop....but despite the pain and the desire to shoot baby out I felt very much in control and that was fantastic!

DS5 was my biggest at 9lb14 and I tore with him, but with DD - nada. she was 8lb 3

aahhh I love giving birth, I'm so jealous! Envy

Reebok · 19/07/2013 17:34

Feel free to give birth for me zing!

Thanks for great advice yet again!

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 18:09

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/07/2013 18:11

Dropped to 10-15 min while out but now home back to 6-7 min. Not very sore though so I remain unconvinced!

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 18:14

Tom
(btw you being a pg Tom is just Grin )

I think it will speed up.
are you timing with an app?

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/07/2013 18:16
Grin

I was earlier but stopped when DD woke up. Will get her bathed and into bed then start timing properly - and bouncing!! Feel very tearful, might be time for that emotional wank!

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 18:40

Grin wank away!

mamachelle · 19/07/2013 18:55

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 19:02

how far are you now?

ReikiMummy · 19/07/2013 19:10

Hi all Can't remember if I've posted on here before or not but I've been lurking for well.. since the thread started. :) Great thread!! :)

After some discomfort and aches over the past few days - today nothing and 41w today...

Midwife been this afternoon and sweep done.

Aromatherapy oils topped up and also given some for a foot bath.

OH has been warned will be DTD this evening... twice... lol He fair skipped round sainsbugs after that! Lol

MW due to come back on monday for another sweep if no signs before then.

Also told them in no uncertain terms wish to avoid induction as have home birth planned. (Will be having another quiet word with the baby about this also...) Don't mind going up to be monitored daily if need be. :)

(Will change mind on that if medical risk to baby or me goes up).

Time I think to fully engage with this process as I realised this afternoon (before the sweep) that I may have been avoiding the issue and being a lot bit scared of it all. If I could just press a button and get on with it rather than sit around waiting for it I think I'd have less time to get anxious over it all!

So, hypnosis, reiki and visualisations will be going strong from this moment on. (As well as tins of prunes, dried prunes and at least 3 packets of fig rolls to be going on with!!) Wink

(Was also thinking that either baby or me are waiting for the Royal little one to arrive first... but what you betting it ends up sharing a birthday with the dear darling?!) meh. I think I have a few last minute issues to go sort out!! ;)

Sorry for the long post.... and for lurking. Its been keeping me going this thread over the past few days. flowers for everyone. x

ReikiMummy · 19/07/2013 19:11

:D :D Ooooh!! Exciting Mama!!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 19/07/2013 19:14

I went two weeks over with both of mine!

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 19:17

reiki

Grin at your DH escaping!

easy on the prunes - there are no air fresheners on labour ward!Wink

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 19/07/2013 19:18

So jealous of mama, lucky you hope everything goes well.

I'm away for more bouncing on my gym ball, after eating a curry.

If one more person calls me, "just to see how I am" when you know they are just fishing to see if you are in labour.

I have crampy tum that goes round the back but not consistently this has been going on for 5 days, tonight's the night I hope.

ReikiMummy · 19/07/2013 19:24

Zing we WILL be birthing in my kitchen... in the pool. Wink

(This is of course subject to baby agreeing also to this and helping things get a move on!)

Parents and sister gone away for the weekend... think it might be a good weekend to get on with the job!!
