Reebok and Tom > I'm not even 40 weeks yet, but so so bored... No plug, no contractions, zilch, nada, nothing.
I'm going to do some cleaning tomorrow to see whether it helps!
My theory is that the babies are afraid to come out because of the heatwave - and who can blame them? I know I wouldn't want to come out of my own private pool! ;)

TomDaleysTrunks · 18/07/2013 19:56

I'm only 38+5 but had DD at 36weeks so this feels like an eternity. I like your theory, maybe you are right! It's too bloody cool in there!

wavesandsmiles · 18/07/2013 20:37

I'm with you on the frustration of intermittent contractions, and melting, and cleaning to within an inch of my life!

I hope that someone has an actual baby soon for inspiration, and so the others get the hint and follow suit pretty quickly.

We do have a refreshing breeze here today which has been nice. Small blessings and all that.

Oh and hello to remembering, sounds like you won't have too much longer to wait Smile

scoutfinch1 · 18/07/2013 20:39

Been loosing plug since Tuesday night and had a few cramps and Bh but still no sign of baby. Keeping my fx that it shouldn't be too long now. Marushka I like your theory too, I think all the babies are hiding. Now it's slightly cooler I think I'm going to do some more cleaning to see if it helps to shift baby along.

ZingWidge · 18/07/2013 21:02

my theory is that the babies are waiting for a synchro birth with Royal Fetus! Grin

Hi ladies, I've pulled myself together and realised it'll happen when it happens. Been down to the beach tonight with DH & DS and played tag on the beach so hopefully that might help. Came home and had a very loose no2 (Tmi-sorry) with some shooting pains so I'm now lying on the bed trying not to over think anything! Easier said than done.x

ZingWidge · 18/07/2013 21:31

greentea atta girl!Wink

I predict at least 2 babies by Sunday 10pm.

Reebok · 18/07/2013 21:39

Been in a lot of pain for past two hours to point I was on floor screaming. It hasn't gone yet...coming on and off across my bump, lower back and lower abdomen. Doubt it's real thing though as contractions are not close enough. DH forced me to eat something in case it is and drink lots.

Chocomama1 · 18/07/2013 21:43

Sounds like this might be it reebok.....

ive had really bad pressure in my bottom and in mynpelvis...so bad i cant hardly walk...what does this mean? Never been so bad...feel like i need to poo all the time. Its horrible.

Wow reebok that sounds like it is. Good luck and ill have my fx for you!!
Thanks zingwidge, just got to thinking the more I stress about it the more baby isn't going to want to join us.

Reebok · 18/07/2013 21:53

Choco I feel need to poop too but not coming. Sometimes feels tight across my bump. Aren't those BH? And I haven't lost my plug yet so can't be it.

TomDaleysTrunks · 18/07/2013 22:26

You don't have to lose your plug to go into labour. bH shouldn't be painful enough to make you scream. Sounds like labour to me!

Reebok · 18/07/2013 22:29

Don't want to get hopes up as had this at 37 and 38 weeks too. Both times was told in slow labour.

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 01:09

reebok
how are you doing?

mamachelle · 19/07/2013 01:59

and so i live to be pregnant another day!

i have no idea what is going on with me right now. contractions continued all day but at a variety of intervals mainly between 5 and 15 minutes, each one starting gradually, becoming intense and then fading. changing position and even having a nap didnt deter them.

in fact, they are stil going now at 15 min intervals after going to bed at ten and waking at 1.10 just not very strong.

tmi, my plug continued to come away throughout the day, still very losing bits now and iv had several bathroom visits.

we had the girls picked up by a friend at 4pm yest, she will take dd1 and 2 to school and watch dd3 throughout the day today on a play it as it comes basis. i thought that maybe the girls not being here would stop any mental block or labour hesitation as ive been really worried about them and who to call, where they will be, what they will need etc

i am so confused! is this just really slow/early labour? is any of this doing any dilating or finishing preparing the cervix? i didnt lose any plug b4 the internal yest so that surely would indicate recent changes?

i think i just thought dc4 would be different. dd3 was born in 5 hours from 1st twinge to placenta. no warm ups or signs just went straight into it.

i am sooo sorry for that very long, drawn out and selfish message. i need advise from all you wise ladies Smile

Reebok · 19/07/2013 02:43

Mama I feel awful for you. I know how frustrated you must feel, unfortunately no advice here but hopefully someone wiser will be along soon.

Zing nothing yet. Pain has continued but much more manageable so I'm sure it's not the real thing yet. Another disappointment here :(

LittleMilla · 19/07/2013 03:22

Anyone up? Think things could be happening here!

Prob not the real deal but went to sleep a bit crampy. Woke up after hour and a half after dreaming of contractions Hmm and woke up properly an hour ago to feel proper 'surges' through back/tum. Coming about every 15 mins for about 20-30 secs.

Lying down not comfy so I've come down stairs to drape myself over ball. Also want to see if they'll continue if more upright. More loose bowels too with plug still coming away!

Come on baby, please be it! x

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/07/2013 04:08

Sounds promising. How are you feeling now?
Too hot to sleep. Lots of bowel movements here but no pains.

LittleMilla · 19/07/2013 04:17

Feel like they're coming too soon to be real. Intense and about every ten mins for 30 secs.

They're very tolerable, but certainly uncomfortable enough to breath through.

My right leg is spasming too which I know is a sign that ds is well in my pelvis as he traps nerves.

DH still asleep and so not sure what to do? Go back to bed and try to sleep? Terrified things might stop if I lie down Hmm

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/07/2013 04:36

Hard to know. Might not be lasting long enough to be proper contractions. I'd try and get some rest probably. Things will ramp up if it is true labour. Can you feel your bump going very tight during each pain?

LittleMilla · 19/07/2013 06:20

Coming every 6-7 mins now and intensity is ramping up. Lasting about 40 secs?

Also shifting to my pelvis and not just in back. Yes, while bump goes hard.

DS1 now up so a welcome distraction! Called my mum as this is beginning to feel like the real deal!

Salbertina · 19/07/2013 06:24

Good luck all and which one of you is Kate? Smile

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 07:24

Milla
that's good progress and I'm pretty sure this is it!Smile

how exciting! good luck and if you can't post then see you on the other side! Wink

ZingWidge · 19/07/2013 07:32

mama

it is definitely the start of things, don't worry about irregularities, the contractions will pick up pace.

the plug going is a good sign, and yes all of that "bothering" means that the cervix is doing it's thing.

I'm pretty sure that once you got your kids "out of the way" things will kick in!
Every labour is different. yours has begun.

good luck to you as well! x

LittleMilla · 19/07/2013 07:49

Feels like it's all moving too fast. Sometimes they're coming every 4-5 mins then I won't get one for 8/9 mins. Is that normal? Admittedly, the ones after a longer wait are much more intense and longer?

Sorry for silly questions. Second baby but first labour so clueless. DH and I are frantically trying to get house in shape - good distraction for both of us I think Grin.
