...and fancy some company for the final countdown?

I'm due on the 24th. Sweaty, incontinent, and terribly impatient although I know I should be basking in these last few weeks of freedom :)

Haha, I am due in just over 5 weeks and am with you in regards sweaty and impatient! So far not too incontinent but am noticing it getting there if I cough lol.

Sick of not sleeping and being told its natures way of preparing me...ffs I need all the sleep I cam get lol

SourSweets · 09/07/2013 23:43

I'm due on the 7th. I'm convinced he's going to come sooner though.. He's 4/5ths and I'm getting period pains constantly. Not that I'm complaining, I can't bear much more sweating and impatience! Here's hoping we can all stay cool and actually sleep for a bit tonight!

hydeyhi91 · 09/07/2013 23:53

Heyyy I'm due on the 22nd :)
Feeling gross in this heat, last few nights I've slept with all the windows open and a cold flannel on my face!
Are you thinking you'll be early or late?
I feel like nothing is happening :/ baby is still really high up, no proper pains, no show, no back ache. I'm glad all this isn't making me too uncomfortable but also feel like I'm a million miles away from labour!

bunchofposy · 10/07/2013 00:09

I'm due in five weeks. Feels like ages away, esp as DD was two weeks late. I am also unbearably hot. Laughing at sleeping with a cold flannel on face! Might have to try that. Have just given up on sleep and had a cold shower.

mamachelle · 10/07/2013 02:32

ooh, can i join please? am due dc4 on the 18th and it honestly cant come soon enough!

baby is 4/5th engaged and bh and chronic backache have been going on for weeks but thats it.

ive been quite 'baby will come when its ready' until now and am thinking of asking midwife for a sweep at my 40wk app.

i dont want to be swollen and sweaty any more lol

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 10/07/2013 06:35

Hey, I'm due on the 4th.

Backache and bh all last night, back packed. Still not right today. Have a consultants appointment today, hope they say it will be soon. It's far to hot.

Also my friend who was due a week before me, had their baby yesterday.

Reebok · 10/07/2013 07:25

Am due on 22nd and I think I'm officially dying! This heat is killing me and I'm not sleeping because of the discomfort all night.

Apparently I went into latent labour the other day and my midwife said baby would turn up soon but no such luck. Damn contractions have calmed down. Need to get this baby out of me now!!!

Queazy · 10/07/2013 08:26

I'm due on 24th too Smile I'm SO hot and tired. Can wait for baby to arrive... x

rosiedays · 10/07/2013 08:44

Hi, I'm due soon. (This month) have been very careful not to get a date fixed in my head. Of the baby will come when she's ready not on the day a scan says school of thought. This is my last pg and I've loved it. Still feeling ok mostly.

greenj1 · 10/07/2013 10:48

Hi I'm due to have a section on the 1st it cannot come soon enough!! I'm constantly knackered, need a wee all the time and my back is killing me!!! Also this heat is wiping me out! I am looking forward to meeting my baby and getting back to Normal!!!

Oops posted twice sorry!!

wispa31 · 10/07/2013 11:12

im not due til start of sept but already getting impatient lol! bit cooler here today, though its meant to warm up again later but thankfully only a half day in work. 2.5 weeks of work left :)

LittleMilla · 10/07/2013 15:47

I'm also due 22nd. False alarm on sat and it seems that I've had every 'sign' possible but still no baby (obvs)! So hot and uncomfortable but rationalising that having a newborn in this heat won't be much fun either.

Just utterly fed up with feeling so horrid.

Also, baby lying back to back so need to try and swivel him round. But pgp makes most positions bloody impossible. More to whinge about I suppose!

Lydia161290 · 10/07/2013 16:30

Due 26th and super excited to meet my baby boy. However, slowwwly losing the grip on my patience. I feel like I've been pregnant for ages.

The heat is killing me, no signs of baby making an appearance, in fact, he seems quite snug. cries Can't do much but sit in front of my fan and mope.

mamachelle · 10/07/2013 16:51

hows every1 doing today? ive finally caught the nesting bug! about time i got some extra energy from some where (have been far too lazy lately, zero motivation)!

enjoy your evenings Smile

hydeyhi91 · 10/07/2013 17:10

Todays been better than yesterday at least! Heat isn't so bad and I had appointment with midwife and everything is on track!

Although she did say there was a bit of protien in my urine which made me panic and paranoid that I had other symptoms of pre eclamsia/ UTI when I really don't...
Anyone else had a dodgy sample?
Does anyone else know what they're having? (Lydia congrats on your little boy!)
I'm having a girl :-)

LittleMilla · 10/07/2013 17:57

Had protein and also glucose on quite a few occasions - tested -ve for diabetes though. Phew!

Had my two year old today (nursery for him tomorrow Grin) and I am in pieces! Back is agony and so packed him off with DH for some errands!

Full on nesting despite agony. Cleaned windows this am and just got a batch of flapjacks in the oven. And I cannot stop washing "just in case" I go in to labour.

Lydia161290 · 10/07/2013 20:45

Anyone else suffering with this heat? :( I'm walking around with barely nothing on and sitting so unladylike! I can't keep cool, made the mistake of going out on the bus today to go into town. It was like a sauna. Never again!

Thanks Hydey congrats on your little girl!

I've been taking a break from my nesting, but do have loads to sort out still. I just keep putting it off... to moan

mamachelle · 10/07/2013 21:49

same here lydia, am sat on the kitchen floor attempting to get cool b4 bed, isnt working though.

congrats to everyone who knows what theyre having. we opted for not finding out this time, the suspense is a killer and finding neutral clothes has been a nightmare! cant wait to see my daughters faces when we show them their new brother or sister. the oldest two want different and the youngest wants one of each lol

oh and nesting ended up a total fail today, i got distracted and big style flooded the kitchen! luckily dh had just got home so cleaned it all up while i had a laughing fit!

mamachelle · 11/07/2013 06:12

random thought, what is the first thing you will eat, drink or do when baby arrives?

mine would be sleep on my tummy, have a boiling hot bath, pick up and have proper squeezes with my older dc, eat rare steak and brie and maybe have a half pint of carlsberg in the sun Grin

(yes, i have been awake for a long time lol)

danielswifetobe · 11/07/2013 06:22

Hi.. im due in a week or so but not getting fixated on the due date as my first was 11 days late. Am having a boy and he is the biggest fidget!!
The thing I'm most looking forward to is being able to play with ds1 who is 5, really miss being able to get on the floor and play with him properly.

Am sooo done with being pregnant and just cannot wait til this baby arrives. Hope its not too much longer!

Good luck to you all Smile

RememberingMyPFEs · 11/07/2013 06:47

DD is due on 30th July and I'm torn between impatience and terror Wink
No signs yet but with nearly 3 weeks and DC1 I guess it's no surprise! She's head down but more or less free still - more bouncing and walking to do!!

As a PP said I suspect the heat is better with baby still in utero than out?! That said, I hope things get moving for those who want to get things moving soon... Thanks

LittleMilla · 11/07/2013 07:01

Morning all.

I am most looking forward to: sleeping on tummy/back, pâté on toast and a g&t so strong that it makes me feel all woozy! I've drunk small amounts throughout my pg but obviously steered clear of spirits. So the gin is something I'm fantasising about!!

Anyone got fun plans for today? I'm going to do some work on the business I have with my step mum - today we need to label some products! Random, but should help pass the day!

moominmaiden · 11/07/2013 08:14

Good morning - and sorry for creating a thread and then disappearing. It wasn't coming up on my 'threads you started feed' for some reason so I thought I must have dreamed posting it (perils of using MN when suffering from insomnia!)

Also my bump sort of disappeared yesterday (!) and I was very zonked out and crampy, so spent most of the day packing and repacking my hospital bag like a zombie, convinced I was about to go into labour.

This morning the bump is still looking very small, and I've already been to the toilet 4 times to do approximately an egg cup full of wee.

Hmm

Anybody else secretly glad for the dip in temperature yesterday? This morning I looked out of the window, saw the cloud and announced to husband "Oh look, it's overcast!" with a Grinch-like smile Grin

Mamachelle my friend had melba toast and pate in her hospital bag Grin. A delusional part of me fantasizes about calling into the only nice restaurant in our town on the way home from the hospital and ordering seventeen chicken liver pate and onion marmalade starters. The less delusional part of me is looking forward to some nice blue cheese!

I haven't really missed anything else, but then I have been pretty relaxed when it comes to food - had a MMC last year and had been so careful then that I've been a bit more philosophical this time around. After all, my Nan drank whisky and water and ate copious amounts of liver when she was pregnant with my Dad and he turned out okay Grin

Not that I've been knocking back spirits or anything, but I reckon I fall into the 'light drinking' category of a glass of wine every week or two. My steaks have remained medium rare, eggs slightly runny. It's funny how the guidelines change.

I still have my Mum's pregnancy pack from the early 80's and that suggests lots of liver and a half pint of Guinness a day - no other food bans, just a reminder to make sure everything is clean!
