Goodluck with your scan Christine Smile

Still counting down the days until my scan next sat, hoping the days fly by!
Still waiting for amazon to deliver my doppler and getting somewhat impatient, going to kidnap the postman if my wait gets any longer lolWink

Rockchick1984 · 17/07/2013 07:35

Congratulations Jess!!!

Good luck for your scan Christine and happy birthday to your DD

Pumpkin what sort of Doppler did you get? I had the Summer one with DS - not amazing but I found a heartbeat probably 75% of the time with it - only had it as a nice treat though so didn't let it worry me if I couldn't find the heartbeat. Life was so different having a pre-miscarriage pregnancy Sad but just wanted to say that if you ever can't find a heartbeat it doesn't mean anything is necessarily wrong :)

andadietcoke · 17/07/2013 07:42

Good luck today gary and christine - think there might be someone else too?

BlackholesAndRevelations · 17/07/2013 07:54

Hurray congratulations Jess! How lovely to finally be holding him in your arms. So very happy for you and also love the idea of a babynoon- well deserved! Grin xxx

Good luck for scans today!

Anda- no sympathy, just respect! I reckon you deserve that Smile

Pixielady83 · 17/07/2013 08:25

congratulations Jess! how exciting to have Oliver a day early after all your waiting Smile

congratulations rock and guff! brilliant scan news. am a bit envious you know already (I'm 7wks but waiting til 10wks for scan) such a relief for you both.

loads of luck Christine and Gary for today.

I haven't updated in ages, sorry, been busy in the sunshine (and completely absorbed in the should I lick my boss thread - brilliant!)

so after moaning about no symptoms I had a run of sicky days. acupressure bands are helping mostly. today I don't feel sick though, do you think it is ok if it comes and goes? still got massive tender boobs.

my latest worry is a water infection, (sorry tmi) despite drinking loads I'm barely weeing and have cystitis like symptoms, not bad, but a bit and dull ache in lower tummy and back. worried now, think will go to drs tomorrow if no better. It wouldn't impact the pregnancy unless it got really bad would it? worried I should be at dr today but got mental day at work. going to drink lots of cranberry juice.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 17/07/2013 08:51

Thanks for the update Jess! Congratulations on the birth of Oliver, babymoon is fab idea! Flowers

Happy birthday to your DD Christine!
My scan is 2.20, so we've both got the entire bloody day to wait, I swear time is going backwards!

Pixie, don't wish to alarm you, but go to the Dr today if you can.
It can impact the pg later on (not sure about pre-3rd trimester), and the longer you leave it the more discomfort you'll be in & it could lead to a kidney infection.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/07/2013 09:49

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/07/2013 10:08

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/07/2013 10:14

I don't feel ill this morning.

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 17/07/2013 10:20

good luck with the scans today ladies! i feel this a very lucky week :)

pixie as gary has said i would try to get to the gp asap in case you need to get on antibiotics, better to catch these things sooner rather than later.

DH has been reading the french book and last night was saying that it's right that doctors in france tell women they are too fat etc even after giving birth. from personal experience and having battled with my weight for as long as i can remember, i said it's a bit cruel when a woman already knows she's looking and feeling fatter than she wants to be, she already knows that she needs to shed some pounds and maybe doesn't need to be reminded as it can be upsetting enough without being reminded (unless there is a danger to mother or baby obv). he said that was me just defending fat people and being pregnant doesn't mean you have to get fat!!! i could have throttled him!!!! i told him i didn't WANT to get fat and putting on the pounds isn't making me ooze with confidence but sometimes your body takes over and does it's own thing, if being pg means getting rounder than so be it, i;ll take it f it means i'll have a baby at the end of it grrrr i was filled with rage!!! i just sent him this link [http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-23276432 pregnant bodies] which is a really interesting read, especially the bit at the end where the husband realises he's been an asshole! book club debate in our house already and i haven't even read it yet!!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/07/2013 10:24

That'll learn him! Grin

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 17/07/2013 10:28

oops link fail pregnant bodies

nice one saggy, i think he's sorry. and careful what you wish for, i bet the nausea will come back with a vengeance :) maybe dtd has sent non nausea vibes yeeooo!!

pumpkinsweetie · 17/07/2013 10:37

Rockchic i have the Angelsounds one, finally got this morning Smile but i am yet to find the heartbeatConfused trying not to worry though as i'm only 15 1/2 weeks. Took me long enough to find my own heartbeat & i'm obviously aliveGrin so won't worry, or try not to anyway!

Goodluck for your scan too GarySmile

Woop, woop saggy bet your dh was happy tooSmile

This hot weather is already getting to me & disturbing my sleep, it's just too muggy! Must be worse for those of you that are later on!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 17/07/2013 10:38

I don't care if it comes back. I just want to feel pg today! Sad
