Great news Pentagon!! Hope you can relax for now anyway.

Hope your appointment went well andadietcoke - sounds very scary.

Shell- I also piled on 4 stone in my previous pregnancies, not good. But no one said anything to me. I am planning to rejoin Slimming World in Jan '14 all being well.

I'm going to have any vaccine offered to me!

My blood results for the slapped cheek show I am already immune so that's a relief.
Hope you all have a great weekend- we are off to Harry Potter studio tour- should be fun and thankfully we live very near.

GardenWorm · 14/06/2013 18:38

YEY Pentagon fabulous news! Great start to your weekend x

pumpkinsweetie · 14/06/2013 18:47

Yay pentagonSmileSmileSmileThanks, a little girl how sweet xx

LuckySocks13 · 14/06/2013 18:52

Gong rats on the girl pentagon :) I'm also predicted a girl going off the 12 week internal scan so I will have one of each :)
Also going to have the jabs this pregnancy I think.
Been very rainy here today, but we still spent the afternoon walking in the forest with waterproofs on :) DS had lots of puddle jumping fun with his little buddy.
Still waiting to feel any sign of movement! 17 weeks 2mor. Hope it's soon!

LuckySocks13 · 14/06/2013 18:52
  • congrats!
BumpKitty · 14/06/2013 20:01

Hooray pentagon how lovely - I know just what you mean about not knowing about two girls, I feel like my one is another girl and I have no clue about sisters, I bet your DD1 is happy!

I'll be having the whooping cough vaccine and flu one too, at what point do you have the whooping cough one?

Blimey anda that sounds alarming and frustrating that they can't work out what causes it, sounds like they are looking after you though. I bet you'll go along to the BMI clinic and they'll say it doesn't apply if you're having twins! Did your mw weigh you? I wasn't weighed at all in my last pg.

No nice weather for me but we did give DD her new dolls' house and she was so happy! I'm not sure we should have put it in her room though, she'll probably be up at 5am playing with it again.

BumpKitty · 14/06/2013 20:03

and ace news about the immunity jmf i bet that's a huge relief x

LuckySocks13 · 14/06/2013 20:43

Just heard my baby's heart beat for the first time on my own Doppler :) couldn't seem to find it before. So happy :) :) :)

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 14/06/2013 21:13

Hey girls, just got on wifi so sneaking on here Smile congrats on all the great scan news! And I'm glad the Doppler worked for you this time lucky!!! Woohoo!! I'm also hoping to feel something in there soon, thought I felt some little bubbles in there earlier but not sure if it was baby or too much ice cream!! Having a great time, another day travelling tmro, finally DH seems to be realising that the train (with a loo) is the only option for me rather than the bus (no loo) so my fear of busting for the loo on a 3hr journey isn't so bad!

Anda sorry they've caused you the worry, I really don't know what they're panicking you for, anything I read goes on your bmi at your first appointment, of course it's going to go up as your pg continues, especially with two wee ones in there. Seems crazy, I hope they realise they're blowing it out of proportion x

Sorry I haven't had a chance to read back all the way but I hope everyone is doing well and feeling the posifrickintivity.

I started panicking tonight that maybe the ice cream might not be safe, I hope it is cos I've had one everyday Blush

I promise to bring some sun home xxxx

IBelieveInPink · 14/06/2013 21:13

Pentagon- fab news on the scan. And a girl!! Yaay! How exciting. :) so pleased.

Lucky - great news on the dopplar too!

I am in a bit of a sulk. I have been able to find baby's heartbeat loads recently, really easy to find and can hear kicks. Yet today, when my parents are visiting- nothing! Well, a very, very faint heartbeat. Should I be worrying? Has anyone else had this? I did feel like baby did a somersault earlier - but i'm 18 weeks tomorrow. Surely should be able to find it easily now?

LuckySocks13 · 14/06/2013 21:16

Great to hear you are having a lovely holiday janie :) I'm sure icecream is fine. :) x

GardenWorm · 14/06/2013 21:26

Pink I think baby has just shuffled if you are anything like me - today I feel like all of my insides have been shunted up and under my ribs! Quite uncomfortable! Haven't tried doppling but sometimes it's a lot louder than others so obviously learning some crazy dance moves in my nightclub Grin

GardenWorm · 14/06/2013 21:27

Janie ice cream will be fine, 1 every day will be even better! Most jealous! X

LuckySocks13 · 14/06/2013 21:32

Great to hear you are having a lovely holiday janie :) I'm sure icecream is fine. :) x

BumpKitty · 14/06/2013 21:39

Don't worry ibip the baby has probably shuffled further behind the placenta and the placenta is getting bigger and thicker. Bloody annoying though I swear they know when we want hem to do something, I bet our ones will have their legs crossed at the 20 week scan Grin

janie sounds like you're having a lovely time, I'm sure the ice cream is fine :)

Yey lucky!

Pentagon · 15/06/2013 11:31

Thank you ladies, I'm definitely a lot more relaxed now!

bump I told DD she's going to have a little sister, she repeated it a couple of times and then walked away disinterested Smile. Hopefully, she'll be excited once the baby's here...

jmf great news about the immunity - you must be so relieved!

lucky yay for finding the heartbeat! ibip I hope you've managed to hear it nice and strong again, probably the baby's changed positions and is hiding!

janie ice cream is fine, don't worry!

IBelieveInPink · 15/06/2013 13:09

No, not heard anything this morning. :( But I think I may have just felt a wriggle. Not sure though. Now looking forward to scan on Friday even more so!!!

LuckySocks13 · 15/06/2013 14:03

Ou a wiggle IBIP :) I have only found heartbeat once so don't get disheartened. Ou less than a week until your scan! 3 weeks until mine!

LuckySocks13 · 15/06/2013 14:04

Pentagon: lol at your DD. My DS wanted to know of I had a puppy in my tummy too for him!

andadietcoke · 15/06/2013 14:04

pentagon whoop! Congratulations - so glad everything went well!

lucky great news too - I'm very jealous, but so pleased you got it working!

ibip it's fine - they've just moved around and are snuggling up somewhere. If you want to try and make them wriggle, have a snack and lie on your left hand side for ten minutes sipping a cold drink. If that doesn't work, repeat with a warm drink, and roll over on to your right for a bit. Saying that though, it's still early - I can only reliably invoke wriggles in the last week or so, but at 19w the left hand side trick worked invariably for me. Stop worrying though. All is well.

Bodicea · 15/06/2013 19:58

No ibip dont worry. You felt a wriggle! Dopplers are a nightmare and the devils work as I keep trying to tell people!!!!!!!!!

I just felt baby kick for the first time ever an hour ago and no i Keep feeling it every few minutes. So exciting! Isn't strange how you suddenly start feeling it. I have been waithng for days. Did it have a major growth spurt or something?

shellsocks · 15/06/2013 19:59

Yay pentagon made up for you Smile And a girl GrinGrinGrin So exciting x

jmf thank goodness for that Smile And yeah I'll be back at WW in Jan too (gonna enjoy Xmas first Wink) but hoping not to put on as much this time....I totally pigged out while BF as well...bollocks do you need 500 extra calories!!!

lucky get in, great doppling Grin

pink a faint HB is still a HB y'know Wink Mine is different volumes all the time and sometimes I only catch it fleetingly but I'm happy if I get it no matter the quality Smile Re kicks, I know everyone says each PG is diff but it is so true....with DS I got them earlier and they were the light finger tips etc. and once they started that was it, felt all the time...this time, it's proper kicks straight away and I get loads one day and then none! So different....this time if I sit with my hands Gently putting pressure on where I think the baby is and just wait for hours is when I get the most success Smile

shellsocks · 15/06/2013 20:00

Cross post bod thats fantastic Grin

IBelieveInPink · 15/06/2013 20:31

Thanks so much everyone for all the lovely reassuringness. And bod - you are fully justified in now shouting 'told you so!' you did. And I should have listened :)

See problem is I can't be sure that what I am actually feeling is kicks and wriggles! And they are most definitely not regular. Urgh. I just wish I had a scanner at home!!!

How is everyone's weekends? Went shopping with parents today and bought a few things for baby. Was a bit freaked out doing that, but I won't be seeing them again for a little while and they are so excited. Bless :)

Bodicea · 15/06/2013 21:41

Pink i would never utter those words. I haven't been sure for about kick for a few days just felt odd flutters so sounds like you are on the right track. But today there have been definite kicks.

I have been pram shopping with mum today. Have fallen in love with the bugaboo chamelian3 which I never thought I would. EEEK! Trust me to want the most expensive one! Everything else seems either plasticky or to heavy.
Now I will probably spend ages researching other ones before eventually deciding nothing matches up and sod it!
So things that justify the bugaboo:
good quality so will last through however many children I decide to have.
Keeps it's value so if will hopefully get a lot of the money back when i no longer need it. So therefore it may actually work out cheaper than other prams, especially as current model is relatively new.
DH likes it cos it has suspension. nice and light.
negatives: blimmin expensive. My friend said they were chavvy! This is news to me. A pram is a pram isnt it? i am new to the world of prams and have never had an opinion on them before. But she is v opinionated and also keeps pushing me towards cheaper prams despite owning a silver surf. Hmm!
Anyways sorry fro blathering on. Just excited.

Happy holidays janie. Mmm icecream. I have had a mars bar icecream almost every day for a week! i am v bad.
