Everything okay. Both growing at decent rates with one at 1lb15 and the other at 2lb5 - although the sonographer thinks the 'little' one might be measuring smaller because she's harder to scan. One lying down the middle and cephalic, the other is transverse so no wonder I've felt nothing on my right hand side - there's nothing there!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 09/06/2013 18:03

Yay!!! Happy days, hope its helped you to relax (as much as poss!)

pumpkinsweetie · 09/06/2013 18:42

Smile Aww Anda, so glad things are well and you are reassured your babies are fine x

Pentagon · 09/06/2013 19:35

that's great anda, so happy for you!

jmf does your DD have slapped cheek in the end? Are you waiting for your blood results re immunity?

I'm slowly starting to get quite anxious about my scan on Friday! I have felt the baby move quite a lot today which is reassuring but the 20-week scan is always unnerving...

BlackholesAndRevelations · 09/06/2013 19:54

Great news Anda!! Grin

BlackholesAndRevelations · 09/06/2013 19:56

Happy birthday mini garden worm! Hope you had a lovely day!

And welcome eeyore- amazing news to get a bfp before ivf and really hope all goes really well for you!!

shellsocks · 09/06/2013 20:22

DIY I embrace the bump Grin and wear dresses pretty much all of the time (with leggings when the weathers cooler) just got some summer ones for work from Jojo Maman Bebe but non work were mainly from Dorothy Perkins last time I was PG...can't stand maternity jeans, so uncomfy/unflattering Angry

Happy birthday to your DD garden hope she liked her kitchen Wink

Welcome eeyore sounds like a stressful time Hmm Hope you get your referral next week and the spotting stops.

Hope you've had some joy with the doppler lucky Smile

Brill scan news anda hope you can stay stress free now at least to your NHS scan Smile

Had a fab day today, hosting a family BBQ...this weather is amazing, really lifts everyone's mood....hope we have a good summer Smile

GardenWorm · 09/06/2013 20:50

Flippin knackered - off to bed soon! Thanks for all your kind birthday wishes. Kitchen got a big thumbs up, she's spent the day getting food out of the oven and making sandwiches! Lovely to see her so happy, can't believe she is 2 already, it's so true time does go so quickly when you have children....
Lovely news Anda and they are growing nicely, hopefully put your mind at rest for a little bit.

DIYandEatCake · 09/06/2013 21:17

Aw, glad your dd had a lovely day garden. And great news that all is well anda. eeyore hope all goes really well for you, fingers crossed the spotting stops soon.

chocolate did you have your scan today in the end? Hope all went well if so.

jmf294 · 09/06/2013 21:34

Andadietcoke- brilliant news on your scan, hope you can feel reassured that all 3 of you are doing a great job!
Garden- happy birthday to your DD, hope she had a lovely day and loved her presents.
Welcome EEyore- hope things have settled down for you.
Shell- I like the ideas for pregnancy attire, desperately need clothes here,
Pentagon- no word on look results yet about the slapped cheek, I'm not worried so far so hope all will be ok.

I have had an exhausting weekend, doing DIY, gardening, Ikea etc.
Need to spend the next 2 days in bed but have to go to work instead!!
Pleased with what we achieved though.

Having a major clothes, bump crisis here.
Nothing fits but I'm don't think the bump is growing- I have a tummy but its just fat!!!
I have no casual clothes that fit apart from pjs and track suit bottoms!! Think I need to get some online shopping done. I was going to look at Gap and Boden- any other recommendations gratefully received. Thankfully my work dresses are lose enough to fit otherwise it would be a track suit for work!!

DIYandEatCake · 09/06/2013 22:28

Duh, just realised it's Sunday not Monday (what has happened to my brain?!) Good luck tomorrow chocolate!
jmf with you on the tummy situation! Am lucky to have kept the frumpy tummy-hiding tops and leggings I bought in the aftermath of dd's birth and am wearing those at the moment, along with some stretchy-waistband skinny jeans I already had. If you're looking at maternity stuff, depending on your budget, New Look are good and Jojo Maman Bebe (they have a July sale, am hoping to pick something up in that this year!). Most of my loose non-maternity tops are H&M.

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 10/06/2013 06:14

Hello all, have woken early to panic about 12wk scan this afternoon. Thank god I have loads of work to take mind off it.

I too am in a "what can I wear?" rut. My tummy is just fat with tiny bump starting to show, but I just look chunky. My maternity trousers from last time fall down as there is nothing to keep them up.
If all goes well today (need some Posifrickingtivity!!) I am going to try some chinos in the sales at Mamas and Papas. Also worth trying Asos and Topshop as I think both do free del and returns so you can do a mass order and chuck back. New look and Next also worth a look (online obvs - never have anything in stock in my size)

But today I am wearing trousers extended with a hair band and a long t shirt/ cardigan. And will be hoping no one notices.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 10/06/2013 06:47

Eek I went to the inlaws wearing trousers held together with hairband and would be STUNNED if no one noticed. We haven't told extended family yet, just parents. I hate feeling so fat and hideous Sad

Good good luck for your scan, choc! loads of pisifrickintivity heading your way! Smile xx

BlackholesAndRevelations · 10/06/2013 06:49

Ps my maternity skinny jeans are ok as they are under the bump and just have those adjustable sides. They're in the wash though! They're from new look. I like new look and H&M maternity stuff x

pumpkinsweetie · 10/06/2013 06:55

Goodluck with your scan today chocolate!

I'm 12 weeks thursday and i'm just starting to get a little belly but it isn't too noticable as i'm a sz 18, just living in leggings and tunics/long tops for now. My pregnancy is still a closely guarded secret to most so leggings it must be!

IBelieveInPink · 10/06/2013 07:24

Good morning.

Choc - good luck today!

Just for reference for those shopping for maternity jeans- steer clear of next jeans. I have them, and while they are super comfey, I am constantly pulling them up as they fall down! This is the over bump ones they currently have in, don't know about under bump ones.

andadietcoke · 10/06/2013 07:25

Good luck chocolate!! Hope the day goes quickly and can take your mind off the waiting Wink

All my maternity stuff is New Look and Next. Got a few bits from the Next Clearance section on their website. Fat Face also do some nice tunics etc that kept me going before we told people too. I used hair bands until 14w though, even though I had a wardrobe full of maternity stuff.

andadietcoke · 10/06/2013 07:40

Yes yes ibip re over the bump next jeans - thought it was just me! However, I also have the narrow band ones (over the bump were out of stock) and I live in them. They come up slightly big I think, but don't fall down and the band is really comfy. Black work trousers are under the bump ones from New Look.

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 10/06/2013 08:50

Oh good luck chocolate, remember the socks :) x

I'm still in my usual jeans with a hair bobble, I'm a 16 anyway so maybe they have a bit more give! But I have got some super comfy maternity linen trousers from new look, they have the stretchy side panels and they're adjustable which is good for the months ahead. They come in quite big though. I have one pair of jeans from new look too, but haven't worn them yet. I'm getting away with loose summer tops at the minute which are great, oh and some super comfy new look mat leggings, might sleep in them they're so good!

Off on holidays today, good luck everyone for the next week or so, will try to check in if I can :) xx

IBelieveInPink · 10/06/2013 08:51

However I did get over bump black skinny jeans from mamas and papas (when they had the bank holiday 30% off- I'm not made of money!) and they are amazing. Love them.

Keep trying to get h and m ones, but they never have any stock. :(

IBelieveInPink · 10/06/2013 08:52

Have lovely hols Janie!! :)

BumpKitty · 10/06/2013 09:10

Hey all, I'm still in Wales coming home today. We have had a lovely time but I am beyond stressed. I have had a really nasty stomach bug and I'm terrified that it has affected the baby, I haven't been feeling movements as I can't tell what is the rumbling stomach and what is/ isn't the baby, as well as that my heartburn has gone and I'm sure my bump is less firm and more just flab, I'm so scared. I had to carry DD for quite a distance yesterday so I'm scared that has hurt the baby too. Trying to not freak out but not succeeding :(
Good luck today choc

GardenWorm · 10/06/2013 09:20

Good luck Choc, what time did they give you? Hope it's not the same grumps who you dealt with Friday x

WillSantaComeAgain · 10/06/2013 09:25

Oh kitty sorry you've had a rough time. I'd call your MW and ask to see them asap if you're worried, although remember that carrrying your DD will have done absolutely no harm at all whatsoever (unless you've been told by a dr to avoid exercise, exercise (even quite hard exercise) doesn't harm pregnancies. Otherwise the human race would not have survived!). I'm sure even a tummy bug won't have done any harm either. Remember that these little babies that we are growing are nature's finest parasites, and will let us starve before they give up an ounce of nutrition Grin

Another one struggling with clothes - I'm sooooooo much bigger than I was at this stage with DC1. Its really noticeable, and as I have lost 3 stone in the past 9 months and got back to a size 10, it must look either like my diet has crashed and burned in the most hideous way, or that I am obviously pg. My size 12 skirt that I brought into to work to wear today is too tight - back into 14s again Sad. I really want to tell people because I can't bear the idea of them judging / speculating, but still another 2+ weeks to go (I'm 11 weeks today, but scan not till 12+4 - if the NT measurement is in normal range, I will probably tell people before I get all the results back, as there is no way I can hide it till 15 weeks.)

Hopefully the only maternity clothes I'll need to buy this time are skinny jeans, and that's just because my tastes have changed. Oh, and maybe a pretty summer dress as I have a wedding at the end of the month and I don't remember having anything pretty to wear last time.

Lieslvontrapp · 10/06/2013 09:56

Morning ladies. Only 4+5 today and time feels like its going mega slow! Going to make my booking in appointment later this week as its nice to have the date in the diary to aim for. Definitely going to have a private scan as soon as we get back from our hols. I'll be over 9 weeks then. Just need to get through the next 3 weeks before we jet off!

Good luck with you're scan today choc.

Have a great holiday janie!
