Just out of interest, what does it feel like? I've read flutters and bubbles but just can't imagine!!

janie for me, at first it was like someone was flicking me from the inside, then like something was flipping over inside me, then proper kicks/punches but only at about 21 weeks I think.

janie I felt DS quite early and that was like someone running fingertips lightly up the inside of my tummy...this was a proper little kick, but with no weight behind it...bit like a pop I suppose

Hi again everyone, hope you've all been out enjoying the sunny weather today. Had a BBQ here - so glad the nausea is mostly gone. Still can't believe I'm still on here and 13 weeks, time seems to be going faster now after really dragging at the start. Yay for feeling movements (in different ways) shell and anda, it is such a lovely feeling. I thought I felt something in the night but was either dreaming or imagining it, way too early. Can't wait to feel it properly, just felt so happy feeling dd wriggling about in there. It's hard to describe the feeling janie! Won't be long til you feel it now though .

What did you wear when the bump started popping out, those who are at/past that stage? I'm wearing some of the clothes I bought to hide my flabby belly post birth last time, but feel a bit frumpy. But tighter things just don't look right at the moment. Fashion tips anyone?!

Oh and hi gluten, sounds like you've been through it and deserve a very uneventful pregnancy this time - hoping for the best for you as for all of us.

I'm wearing some of the looser tops I own with maternity skinny jeans!! Or for work, leggings and dresses. I'm starting to have a bit of a pot but it can't possibly be baby yet... Maybe it's other organs moving up (or just plain old overeating!)

Ps DIY I feel like a fat old frump, especially as I have some grey hairs that I'm too paranoid to dye until after 12 weeks (which is next week, phew!) it'll be nice to let it all hang out and embrace the pregnant-ness!

Yes my angry red facefull of spots isn't helping the frumpiness cause! I'm doing the same with skinny jeans/loose tops and dress/leggings - have about 4 outfits to wear in rotation. Can't wait for more of a bump to show off.

My DD is 2 today! I was up till 1:30 assembling a wooden play kitchen - seriously?! Let's just say the yanks are not up there with the Swedes on flat pack. It looks fab but I might get a bit psycho if she doesn't like it! Ha ha Ha! BBQ later with the family....prep time!

Can I join?

I'm 5+5. had a mc in Feb. Had been ttc for two years before that, and was about to start ivf when I got my bfp this time!

I'm really nervous. I've had spotting daily, mainly fresh blood, since getting bfp. This happened last time so I'm not allowing myself or DH to get our hopes up too much.

I've got an appointment with gp on Tuesday, hoping to get referred onto EPAU for a scan. I'll be six weeks by then so hopefully I'll see a heartbeat. Although I saw one last time and still miscarried.

I've also cut out gluten. I know my body doesn't like it, so I figure it will do no harm at worse. The bleeding has reduced since cutting it out. But I miss toast and cake!

Lucky I know... I've realised recently that I've been bleeding pretty much the whole time. Because I've been in the black knicker brigade permanently I convinced myself I had really dark wee. It's starting to be less frequent at the moment, which is good.

Have fun do you know if you have an anterior or posterior placenta? Only ask because MWs have really struggled to find a heartbeat on my anterior side, so don't worry too much!

oh i love the idea of feeling little fingers tickling you from inside! how fun! hope it happens for me too, but i know it might not start until 22 weeks ish so just trying to be patient!

lucky be patient with the doppler. my friend lent me her angel sound one so i'm not sure of the one you have. it will be amazing when you find it :)

eeyore welcome, congratulations (so nice that you got a BFP when you were about to start IVF) and good luck!! I hope you see a heartbeat in your early scan next week and then hopefully you can get a second scan at around 8-9 weeks? I asked my EPU for a second one (as my previous pregnancy - well, missed miscarriage - last summer stopped at 7,5 weeks... I had't had an early scan but if I had, I guess I would have seen a heartbeat a 6+ weeks) but they refused so I ended up having one privately at 10 weeks as I was going mad with worry.

Thank you Anda. I will have a look now. Now idea in the placenta! I found a heartbeat but was too slow and think must have been mine. Also was guessing with the machine!

Oh and happy birthday mini garden!! I always wanted to have a toy kitchen when I was little but never got one boohoo! Lucky dd!!

Lucky - do you have notes from your scan? It should say on there where your placenta is... That's where I found mine!
