Go with your instinct Anda, I'd try hospital today if you can as weekend may have less services etc

anda you don't want to spend most of the weekend stressing so I would also suggest going to the hospital. Most probably everything is fine anyway...why spend money on a scan in 2 days' time if they can dopple you at the hospital and reassure you today? Good luck!

Hi - can I sneak in? I have had a BFP the week after an early mc last month and a nasty ectopic last summer....I'm just over 5 weeks I think, and really scared.... Have a scan on Tuesday to check it's in the right place, but I can't quite bring myself to believe everything's going to be ok. Anyway, here I am.

Hi makegluten congratulations! Sounds like it's your time for a smooth run - will keep everything crossed for you.

I'm lying on my bed feeling the babies kick - think they just had a quiet morning and they came into their own at the hairdresser's (typical girls!). Will see how tomorrow goes before cancelling the scan, but maybe it's worth the money to stop me getting disproportionately anxious next weekend, especially as I have a board meeting and a business plan presentation between now and then. Plus DH says he'll pay (we have our own money for 'treats' and this was going to come out of mine...)

Did anyone have a 3d scan last time - I think it might be nice to have the photos when they're older (but then the alien like images do freak me out a bit!)

Anda - I do think the 3d scan pictures look weird. Am thinking about getting a DVD video of this one moving (assuming I get past blooming 12 week scan grr) as I thin that would be a cool thing to look back at. But it's another expense and so hard to justify.

Welcome Gluten congrats on your BFP - now the real stressing starts but you are in good company.

Janie vv jealous of your Siciliy holiday, I would love to go there, all my abroad hols are with inlaws (FIl's 60th in Majorca in Sept) - haven't had a non in law holiday for 4 years (I know - weird)

Had my 16week appt this aft. Bit stressful as my bp was 160/106!!! Back on a bp monitor at home

However I did get to listen to the heartbeat 158 beats per minute. Midwife said according to old wives tales it means it could be a girl!

Updated my stats. Garden we are scan buddies!

Janie I went to taurmina in sicily on my first holiday with DH. It was the most romantic place ever. Love, Love, Loved it. So jealous. You have to make a trip to taurmina if you are not staying there and just hang out for the day/evening drinking coffee etc on the main street (corso Umberto). It's brimming with romantic squares with music being played and couples that have just got married parading around in their wedding gear. I also recommend a restaurant called tirimasu which is a bit off the beaten track xxxx

So started googling, drooling over images of nurseries today and have got very excited at the prospect of yellow and pale grey. Very chic. So excited now. Need to calm down and get past 20 week scan! However I did hear that you need to paint the nusery at least three month before baby goes in it cos of the fumes so maybe should get a move on!

Anda I would save your pennies and wait for NHS scan. Not a fan of 3d/4d myself plus babies raely pose. Especially twins as on always has its face squished up against something. glad your feeling movement.

Pooh bod we're going there for 3 nights!! We're starting in Palermo then Taormina then cefalu!! Thanks so much for the tips!! Will definitely look up the restaurant you recommended, good to know of somewhere tasty, and usually the ones off the beaten tracks are better!! Getting all excited now!!

Anda I'm so glad the little lovelies are dancing about again!! Love that the perked up at the hairdressers!!! . The 3d pics do freak me out a bit, my cousin put hers on Facebook and it looked so like my aunty it really was wierd, DH says they're too scary looking (but then again I think he's still a bit in denial!). I live the DVD idea though, after our private scan at 12wks I was gutted not to have thought about that as I could have watched the screen for hours!

The 4D bit is incidental bod - I don't like them at all, but it's the cheapest way of getting a reassurance scan/checking their growth!

anda glad the movements are back, phew I LOVED my 4D scan, was very emotional as he looked just like my brother as a baby and I love looking back now as he looks just the same in real life, with how stressed I was during that PG it was totally amazing....made me accept my PG in a way and feel like I was having a real baby if that makes any sense?!

Sorry for the high BP vix I have the opposite when PG...lots of fainting

Thanks all. It is a bit stressful at the moment but I'm trying to relax.... I have two gorgeous babes already, so I'm very lucky.

Blackholes - I don't know if I am coeliac, but I suspect at least pretty intolerant. I was gearing up to be tested, but got BFP and the dr recommended I stayed off the gluten entirely so the test has to wait (I would have to include gluten in my diet for at least a month and it could be harmful fr the baby, apparently). Love the autocorrect...!

I love the stories of wriggling babies....I have everything crossed I'll get to that stage this time.
