Thanks gary one more question do you know whether the car seat adaptor can be used with the rear seat adaptor? If so it's defo back in the map Grin That's an amazing story, she must pinch herself everyday to make sure her baby is actually here Smile

Great scan news stitch and well done on the mega shop Grin

Fantastic lucky what a relief Grin

jmf no news is good news remember Smile

BumpKitty · 28/05/2013 20:09

yey lucky that's brilliant, super crap that you had to wait and worry all weekend but at least it's a happy ending :)

excellent news stitch how exciting to be emigrating, will the baby be born in the new place?

jmf i bet it's just policy or they don't actually have the results yet. I think they quite often give bad news over the phone so don't read anything in to it, I know it's easier said than done.

vix I'd be fuming, my old boss came to congratulate me in the middle of the tearoom! I had told my current boss that he could tell people so I suppose it's my own fault. She is so very unmaternal, she said to me 'ooh you're a glutton for punishment aren't you!' erm no not really, this is only my second and DD will be nearly three!

jmf294 · 28/05/2013 20:14

Thanks for the positivity- it's good to share this with people you understand my insane ramblings!
Just need a good nights sleep tonight with sweet dreams- I've been an irritable grumpy cow all day.

Vixjane · 28/05/2013 21:28

That's what we're here for jmf!

I think what makes it even worse was that i specifically said that i did not want an announcement when i told her i was pregnant! Grrrr....anyway must be calm otherwise i'll never get any sleep tonight!

BumpKitty · 28/05/2013 21:43

well vix that's pretty unforgivable then, my ex-boss is a dippy thoughtless bint but your one actually sounds nasty - sorry I'm not helping... think calm thoughts :)

jmf i hope tomorrow flies by for you, you'll be walking on air when you get your good results and all grumpiness will vanish x

GaryBuseysTeeth · 28/05/2013 22:45

Shell, I have no idea sorry! But I've seen the buggy discussed loads over on the pushchair threads so I'm sure someone there maybe able to answer for you? Be warned, they really love their buggies!

Vix, grrrh on your behalf. Sorry she told everyone. Hope you manage some sleep tonight.

Same goes for you Jmf, hope it flies by & the results are in before you know it.

Must dash, I've got a craving for pancakes Confused

IBelieveInPink · 28/05/2013 22:59

Mmm pancakes. Damnit Gary, what did you do that for?! Wink

Vixjane · 29/05/2013 10:48

Thanks for listening to me rant last night ladies! Decided as soon as i get my contract for the new job i'm gonna hand my notice in and give them the four weeks and nothing more!

Gary hope you enjoyed your pancakes! ibip did you end up with pancakes as well? Smile

still thinking of you jmf - hope today flies by!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 29/05/2013 11:40

hey ladies, it's super hot here today, sadly stuck in a clammy office with no aircon or windows booo.

oh gary now i want pancakes too!! but they're kinda healthy..right?

lucky i'm delighted you got your scan and everything is well phew! how frustrating having to wait though.

santa and stitch brilliant news on your scans too! yay for blobs and beans :)

jmf i hope today goes quickly for you - what time is your appointment at?

vix how insensitive of your boss grrr. i was quite relieved when my boss told everyone (i did tell him to though) as it was less pressure and made this pg feel much more 'real'. at least it was on my terms though.

i've got no clue about prams and buggies...i think i'll start looking after 20 weeks. the researching baffles me already though. think i'll probably ask a few friends what they had and if they would recommend.

i was back at the gym last night, i've turned into such a porker and now that i have more energy i am determined to try to keep a bit fit. i had a consultation with a personal trainer who was really helpful giving me advice on what exercises to do (and what to avoid) and today my thighs wreck from doing squats (with a swiss ball on my back up against a wall - better support etc)

still no loving in our house... but i've had 4 coldsores in 3 weeks which is making DH run a mile anyway. they're really getting me down, i get them on my cheek and on my chin (rather than on my lip) so it looks like i've got a big gross bubblewrap face boooo.

got a scan on friday morning eek (should be 15wks) but haven't felt any tweaks in there recently so i hope bubba is still growing... getting a wee bit scared

LuckySocks13 · 29/05/2013 12:27

More bleeding last night :(

shellsocks · 29/05/2013 13:06

Thanks gary I'll check it out properly after 20w scan Smile

Oh no lucky how worrying, have you called the hospital again for advice?

Vixjane · 29/05/2013 13:28

thinking of you lucky - what have docs/epu said? You hear of lots of people that have unexplained bleeding throughout pg and everything's fine. I know that doesn't really help right now though!! x

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 29/05/2013 13:48

oh lucky you poor thing. is it worth contacting the hospital again? as others have said, (i think anda has had bleeds? - apologies if i'm wrong) it can be normal to bleed on and off all the way through, my mum had a mini period kind of bleed every month with both her pregnancies. i'm sure it's panicky for you though. xxx

andadietcoke · 29/05/2013 15:13

Yep Janie definitely 'normal' for me - daily for the last four weeks and on and off before that. I really think it's worth finding someone to check your cervix lucky - at least then you'll know what's causing it. I know not to worry about mine because cervical ectropions aren't associated with anything bad, are common, and the bleeding is something I just have to put up with. I think this is something your GP should be able to do.

IBelieveInPink · 29/05/2013 18:32

Lucky - how are you doing Hun? Hope you okay? Has it stopped yet?

Jmf - thinking of you too. Not long now.... Hope you are holding up okay.

Told work today. Was actually quite fun. Just have to wait and see how long the good reactions last, and when I will start getting the comments!! :)

jmf294 · 29/05/2013 18:48

Lucky- gggrrrr to more bleeding. Have they done a speculum exam to look at your cervix? I had 4 bleeds with my daughter, no cause found but it was horrid so I feel for you.

Thanks for all your wishes for tomorrow- the appointment is at 10 so at least I don't have to wait all day. I'm very very anxious about it, can't see it being a good outcome. I will of course let you know.

Aoife could do with our thoughts, wishes, prayers tomorrow as she's going into hospital. So bloody unfair.

LuckySocks13 · 29/05/2013 18:58

Thoughts and prayers are definitely with Aoife.

Well had some brown discharge following the red earlier with (TMI sorry!) a few stringy bits in. Don't think it's worth phoning them again really but will see how it pans out. The Gyne Dr on Sunday did do an internal examination and feel for my cervix which he said was still long and closed at that point. The exam flipping hurt though and I'm hoping not made things worse. So desperate for things to be ok with my little one. I think I may have a look at the dopplers.
Saw my friend and her little baby today. It's her 2nd child but her first was born sleeping following incompetence at the hospital. If you have lack of movements in pregnancy trust your instincts and stick to your guns and insist. So very sad.

shellsocks · 29/05/2013 21:22

Oh aoife thinking of you tomorrow Hmm Hope everything goes as smoothly as possible for you xxx

lucky see how you cope stress wise, a call may put your mind at rest?

I just got out my pregnancy book and had a read and panicked myself. It says I should have put on 10lb now but I am still under my pre PG weight....the weight piled on with DS and my bump is the same size if not a bit bigger? I've got MW on Monday so ill ask but I'm stressing something's will be wrong with baby if I'm not putting on the weight I should?

shellsocks · 29/05/2013 21:23

Sorry jmf meant to say good luck for tomorrow x

GaryBuseysTeeth · 29/05/2013 21:49

Aoife, you're in my thoughts...I'm so sorry. It's desperately unfair. Hope tomorrow is as painless & stressfree as possible. Flowers

Lucky, hope everything has settled down?

shell, mention it to the MW but if everything feels ok...hopefully it is. I've put on over the recommended amount every week/month with all 3 pgs (including mc!) but MW's never mention it as a problem!

Janie, I put lemon on my pancakes, which is a fruit=healthy food Grin Plus milk AND eggs are good for you! Well done on going to the gym, sorry you have coldsores atm!

JMF, holding out for a bright & early phone call for you so you're not spending the day worrying.

DH started to refer to this one as 'the baby' today, I've been calling it Squatter, never called DS 'the baby' when I was pg...feels weird. I hate acknowledging I'm pg, feels like if I do something will go wrong.
DS stopped moving for the first time after FIL set up the moses basket in our bedroom without asking so I have crazy lady ideas about pg

jmf294 · 29/05/2013 21:51

Don't worry about your weight Shell- baby will be taking all it needs from you. Can you try to increase your carbs to help?
I sadly have put on loads of weight!! Heffalump!!!!

pumpkinsweetie · 29/05/2013 22:12

Thinking of you aoife sending you my thoughts and prayers. Hope it is as painless as possible xx

I hope you are ok now lucky and i hope the bleeding has settled x

pumpkinsweetie · 29/05/2013 22:13

Goodluck for tomorrow jmfSmile

IBelieveInPink · 29/05/2013 22:21

Shell - I'm the same. I have definitely changed shape, bigger boobs, waist goes out not in(!!) but I haven't put on any weight yet? Maybe my muscle is just dissolving into fat :)

Gary - talking about pancakes again!! That's it, I'm making pancakes at the weekend. Yum.

Pentagon · 29/05/2013 23:34

Aoife my thoughts and prayers are with you! Flowers

lucky I hope you've managed to remain calm (easier said than done, I know). I'm sure baby's fine but maybe investing in a doppler would be a good idea just for your peace of mind.

jmf I think you'll have good news but I understand how you feel, I was the same. Good luck tomorrow!

shell please don't stress over the lack of weight gain - I don't think it has anything to do with how well the pregnancy is going; and you should consider yourself lucky Smile. I won't even weigh myself (I go by clothes...I'm size 10 normally, size 10 in maternity clothes so I'd like to think that I haven't put on much weight...but I probably have Wink)

ibip hurray for telling work!

mmmmm, I love pancakes but have eaten like a pig today so can't even think of food at the mo...but pancakes at the weekend sounds fab, that's breakfast sorted!

good night everyone, I'm off to bed!
