Good luck at A&E Lucky, thinking of you & hope you get seen swiftly. x

Zeux, best of luck to you in the future, hope the time away is healing & positive Flowers

Mummy, hope you have a symptoms flare up asap & feel most positive about this pg. x

Bod,we're staying away from bits of fabric slings (DS would spend the entire time tugging it/me) but have bought an Ergo Baby Original & a Bushbaby
We have a Babybjorn which DH likes but I can't get on with it, he only used it for short walks out with DS for the first 4 months or so & I'm happy to report he has no leg/spinal problems....he's got massive feet but I blame DH for that Grin

We're going for a Joovy Ultralite Caboose double stroller, only downside is you can't buy it in many places in the UK so we're fooked if something needs repairing...we don't live on the Ground Floor & I can't see myself getting newborn, toddler & double buggy up/down comfortably in a Phil&Teds or sidebyside double.

pumpkinsweetie · 26/05/2013 20:32

Hope you get a scan tomorrow lucky, surely they could scan you if you kicked up a fuss-i fail to believe they have no scanning equipment available. Hope things settle for you, fx for you

BlackholesAndRevelations · 26/05/2013 20:45

Oh gosh lucky. You poor thing. How are you now? Fingers crossed everything is ok. Such a stressful time Sad xxx

Mummytothearkbuilder · 26/05/2013 20:57

lucky thinking of you Hun xx

shellsocks · 26/05/2013 22:10

Oh no lucky hope it's stopped now and you get a scan soon x

Aaaggghh gary I got all excited that was THE ONE but then I saw you can't use it from birth and older child has to be at least 2.5 Hmm devastated!!

LuckySocks13 · 26/05/2013 23:48

No scans until after the bank holiday. I'm so worried that the nasty painful internal examination will cause more bleeding . The initial bleed earlier was bright red which I feel is bad. They can't seem to find the cause :( why can't life be simple. I can't face yet another loss.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 27/05/2013 06:38

Oh lucky. Are you still bleeding now? Sad how many weeks are you? Surely past the need for an internal (if you mean scan?) I had an abdominal one at 8 weeks. Hope you get down there first thing tomorrow and have no more bleeding xxx

pumpkinsweetie · 27/05/2013 07:32

Thinking of you lucky, hope your bleeding has stopped x

jmf294 · 27/05/2013 07:43

Lucky- hope things have settled. Are you going to try to get an appointment on Tuesday?
Mummy- hope things are ok for you too- I would ask for an early scan- waiting is horrible.

Is anyone exercising at all?
Prepregnancy I used to run- well slow jog more like. But was quite fit and did 1/2 marathons and regularly ran for 1 hour at weekends.
I have ran once since March!! I see runners when I am out and wish I was running. I was too frightened too run and think I'd still worry. I put in loads of weight when pregnant - 4+ stone so it would have been a good idea to exercise!
I do feel a bit lazy and guilty!!

I've still not told anyone in RL- I am probably going to wait until Thursday for the harmony results before I tell. I'm so terrified and currently can't believe it will be ok!!
Enjoy bank holiday everyone xx

Vixjane · 27/05/2013 09:23

Hope things are better today lucky. Try to rest up if you can.

jmf i played roller derby up until getting pg but obviously thats out now! Have just ordered a pregnancy yoga dvd and am going to start swimming couple times a week as well.

Bodicea · 27/05/2013 09:27

Hi lucky, you shouldn't need an internal now- your past 12 weeks right. To be honest you are prob better waiting for a sonographer scan or consultant scan as most doctors don't know what they are doing ( when pts come to me having had a ward scan I count is as not had one!) not their fault they don't get a lot of time scanning. We have time to train them twice a week at our hospital and they hardly ever turn up as they are so over stretched! Feel sorry for them.

This maybe tmi but my sex drive has gone through the rod since got into second trimester. Keep pestering husband! Consulted dr google and apparently I am more likely to have a boy. Anyone else experiencing this ?

Bodicea · 27/05/2013 09:30

Sorry that's gone through the roof!

shellsocks · 27/05/2013 09:49

lucky hope you have an uneventful day and get an scan early tomorrow x

jmf I put on 4st with DS too Blush and only lost one when he was born and then went to WW when I finished bf....am 16w tomorrow and still half a pound under my target weight (I lost a lot in the first few weeks) even tho my bump is huge (already been asked when due and getting the shocked faces ha ha) and have done ZERO exercise... so I would say each PG is different and maybe we won't put on so much this time?

bod I won't have sex prob while PG but I have been having the odd rampant sex dream so who knows ha ha Grin

IBelieveInPink · 27/05/2013 10:14

In term of exercise, I used to be a bit of a gym bunny. However since TTC, that has dropped off a bit, and with all the mc I ended up comfort eating and avoiding the gym, so put on a stone before getting pg this time!! However since then I don't seem to have put anything else on probably because I already have some excess fat . Have just for brave enough to do a bit of excercise- I have davinas pregnancy work out which is low impact enough not to scare me!!

Bod - I definitely noticed an increase in sex drive too, but so far have been too scared to do anything about it, especially after having a bleed. Going to be a looong 9 months.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 27/05/2013 10:26

Oh I'm so Envy of your sex drives... Roll on second trimester

I don't do any exercise either, apart from running round after my two... Feel very guilty. Keep meaning to go swimming...

Bodicea · 27/05/2013 10:57

My excercise has dropped of significantly but hoping to get back into it a bit now and goodness knows how much weight I have put on after my massive eatathon on holiday. Haven't dared check the scales. However hoping the daily sex has helped replace excercise a bit! Pink I say listen to your sex drive and enjoy it while it lasts ( obviously nt of bleedig) once baby comes sex will prob be non existent for at least 6 months!

andadietcoke · 27/05/2013 12:40

Nope, so sex for me. I think knowing it will just make me bleed has put me off, at least for the last 4 weeks.

lucky was just thinking, can you make an appt with someone that can do an internal examination to check your cervix? If you have a cervical ectropion that would explain all the bleeding, and knowing that's what it is and that you don't have to worry about it would help immeasurably. Not a delightful examination, but knowing that's what mine is has calmed me down a lot - I've stopped worrying about the bleeding now.

IBelieveInPink · 27/05/2013 21:43

Just been reading through my notes in preparation for next midwife appointment tomorrow, have just noticed that my scan notes say that I have an anterior placenta. This means I won't feel wriggles till much later right?! Boo!! And there was me thinking I've been feeling flutters for the last couple of days. Bit disappointed :(

andadietcoke · 27/05/2013 23:00

ibip not necessarily - one of mine has an anterior placenta and I can feel them, and a pg friend has an AP and feels her baby constantly but it's handy to use it as an excuse if you're worried about lack of movement ever

IBelieveInPink · 27/05/2013 23:05

Ah really? Thanks diet :) is Good to know! I did wonder if I did, as I can hear a really clear 'rushing' noise when I listen on the dopplar which I have read is the placenta, and I usually find baby just to the side/tucked underneath that. And to the side is where I have been feeling .... Well... Something. Not sure if it is baby or not. Thanks for the reassurance though, as always!

shellsocks · 28/05/2013 08:29

Hope you get a scan soon lucky and there has been no more bleeding x

mummy hope your doing ok Smile

So I'm passed the time when I felt DS for the first time and nothing yet (well I thought maybe one day last week but not since so assume not) bit gutted as I assumed it would be earlier this time! Oh well, 16w today can't believe it...that means only 24 more like 26 weeks left which is madness Confused

IBelieveInPink · 28/05/2013 08:48

Shell - you don't have an anterior placenta too do you? (yes I'm a bit obsessed with this now!)

Lucky - hope your okay, are you getting a scan nice and early today?

jmf294 · 28/05/2013 09:48

I didn't feel both mine until 20+ weeks - not sure where the placenta was though.

I need some positivity!!
I was awake for 2 hours in the middle of the night worrying about my harmony results on Thursday, and then when I feel asleep I had nightmares about it.
48 hours to go, debating calling them to ask if they have the results.

andadietcoke · 28/05/2013 09:51

Like jmf I didn't feel 'proper' movement until after my 20w scan, and everything I read said it was normal not to feel anything later than that.

jmf ring. The worst they can say is they haven't got the results back yet. When did you have the test? I was told that if there was a problem they'd ring within a few days, and that was the NHS.

lucky hope you're okay xx

IBelieveInPink · 28/05/2013 10:39

Oh jmf if it is interfering with your sleep that much, I would ring. The worst they can say is they don't have them yet. And it could put your mind at rest straight away. I would.
