[snort] aoife Grin

WillSantaComeAgain · 13/05/2013 14:52

Oh, DIY, I'm so jealous. I long for normal sized boobs. Mine went up from a DD to GG between 6 weeks and 10 weeks last (succesful) time. And they didn't shrink back all the way, though I'd just about hoiked them into an E by Easter.

I had a good scan last Friday after some spotting, which wierdly made me feel more grrr about being pg! I think I'm just remembering (and letting myself think) about all the crap to come, whereas before i was so convinced I was going to have another anembryonic pregnancy, I wasn't taking it seriously.

Waint to hear how Aoife's scan went. Fingers and toes crossed for you my lovely, and worrying about you sitting in the waiting room right now bricking it.

Booking appt on Friday. Wondering if they kept my forms from last time - it would be handy if they have!

stitchinline · 13/05/2013 16:29

Ok well I've really not managed to keep up with the happenings here.

Really pleased about the good scans and onset of symptons for people.

Starting to feel a bit of nausea myself but it could just be the bug dd picked up at nusery last week coming my way Hmm

Still debating over whether to get an early scan.....am about 7 weeks now so I'll probably need to book somethings soon if I'm going to....

I have my appointment to see the haematologist, booking in appointment and NT scan letter Shock so I think I better add myself to stats

Aoifebelle · 13/05/2013 16:40

Scan went completely according to plan. 11 weeks today. Lovely little wriggler with all limbs and heartbeat present. Phew! Now I can tell my ma. Will report on the fmc laters, it was proper posh. Off to see star trek now. As my oh said, can life get any better?

shellsocks · 13/05/2013 16:56

Yay aoife congrats Grin What a relief Smile

santa I love the feeling that I'm PG and love the kicking....but I don't enjoy how it makes my body feel and am dreading the PGP kicking in now I've got DS...but yeah it's shitty cos I feel like I should just be grateful! Boobs are a good thing for me tho, went from a 34B to E last time and am there already now which I like Smile

sorry you're feeling so yukky santa try to remember what you'll get out of it a the end and in the grand scheme of things it's not really that long (although i know it doesn't feel like that now). hope you perk up soon x

loving your posifrickintivity pumpkin goon on ya!!

hi everyone else!

work was horrid, i so wanted to tell everyone my good news but due to the overhanging issues i just felt i couldn't. i asked one more time for the p60s and was told i'd get them tomorrow. i said if i didn't then the photocopies of all my payslips would be posted instead and they just started hollering at me saying my p60s were at the bottom of the list of priorities. nice eh.

IBelieveInPink · 13/05/2013 18:51

Yay Aoife! What fab news! Glad it went well lovely!

jmf294 · 13/05/2013 18:52

Yeah Aoife!! So pleased for you, I was thinking of you when I was in a very dull meeting at 3pm. An interested to hear your feedback on FMC and harmony. I am so scared about the results.

Anyone else funny about magpies?
I keep just seeing one which disturbs me. I saw 1 magpie when on the way to my scan last time when I found out the baby wasn't growing properly. Come on mr magpie I need to see 2 of you!!

Mummytothearkbuilder · 13/05/2013 18:54

Fab news aofie so pleased for you!

santa sorry you are feeling so rough at the moment Hun - my best friend hated everyday of her pregnancy.

I phoned our EPU this morning to touch base about my early scan on 24th (which feels like a million years away!!). I am concerned as I will only be between 6-7 weeks (not 100% sure of dates - I think I am a late implanter so could be earlier!). I would LOVE to see a heartbeat but think it might be too early - what do you guys think? They said they would re-scan me a couple of weeks later but the thought of that two week wait sounds like torture!! Xxx

shellsocks · 13/05/2013 19:07

Oh my god jmf I am getting that too, everywhere I look one bloody magpie it's driving me nuts Confused

BlackholesAndRevelations · 13/05/2013 19:38

Congrats Aoife!! Grin

Yes yes yes to the magpie. I've been seeing only one, every time I see one, which seems to be every five minutes. I've only seen two together once or twice, but a single one hundreds of times. Feels like a bad omen to me Sad

pumpkinsweetie · 13/05/2013 19:38

That's odd you should say that jmf, i keep seeing magpies in next doors tree and i always count them to make sure there is more than one! Funny aint it all this old wives tales still grip usGrin

Pentagon · 13/05/2013 19:43

Great news Aoife, congratulations!! Very happy for you! I hope you had a good experience at the FMC - they took bloods for the harmony test too, right? Good scan followed by cinema - nope, life can't get any better!!

Janie sorry to hear your boss has done that! What a fraud! And I can't believe he talked to you that way, some people deserve to be slapped!

Santa I agree that the first 3 months are awful and plain torture but I actually really enjoy the rest of the pregnancy, especially once I can feel the baby move (and have the 20-week scan - one month to go for that). But I also miss certain foods and booze....mmmm!

My boobs stay pretty much the same in pregnancy (34D to DD) all the growth seems to be in the bump!

IBelieveInPink · 13/05/2013 19:57

I have to say my boobs have grown a bit too, 2 sizes, D to E!! Which is bad enough- but the belly! I just look fat at the moment? I told someone today and she said oh yes- I thought you had put on a bit of weight!!
When will this stop looking like Chubb and start lookin like baby?!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 13/05/2013 20:00

oh crap we have a magpie nest in our tree and they're always out one at a time stealing the cats food! i'm normally uber superstitious, how did i not remember about this aarrghh! maybe if i consider them live in (tree) pets?

BumpKitty · 13/05/2013 20:10

great news aoife shows your positive instincts were spot on :) hope you enjoyed the film.

i don't think my boobs do much in pg either, now when the milk comes in they are mahoosive but they aren't too fussed before that :)

janie that is absolutely crap, as he has literally just stolen money of you do you think he is going to pay up? You may end up having to take him to tribunal. Do you know what your maternity leave package is with your current employer?

shell the movement is pretty low down and on my left hand side, I'm in an 'I imagined the whole thing' time at the moment though Confused. I'm glad your ms is getting better :)

I'm feeling a bit unpregnant now and it's not very nice. I know this is the easiest trimester but I could do with a few more symptoms. I am still pretty tired and being mega moody with DH so maybe those are my symptoms (or maybe I'm just a cow). Hurry up 16 week appt!

Zeuxippe · 13/05/2013 20:18

Congratulations aoife! You must be so relieved. Really glad it went well!

DIYandEatCake · 13/05/2013 20:28

Congratulations aoife! Hope you're enjoying your evening.
Hi everyone else! I haven't seen many magpies lately but yes I count them every time...!
Please can someone give me a slap and tell me that just because last week I was chucking up and feeling awful and today I've done some gardening, made cake and cooked dinner with no probs, doesn't mean something has gone wrong... I know, I know, I should enjoy it, but actually prefer 'feeling pregnant'.

andadietcoke · 13/05/2013 20:32

Aoife yay! Congratulations!!

You know how I was whinging yesterday that I didn't have stomach pains, and how I knew the brown blood was normal? Well today I have, and lots of brown-tinged discharge and so am automatically worried! I need my head banging against a wall Sad

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 13/05/2013 20:34

Hi Janie - can I ask if your payslip shows your employee NI deductions?
You need to check with HMRC (Should be an NI helpline) that your employee contributions have been paid over (or not) on your behalf.

If they haven't paid Employer contributions, while it's illegal, it's not really your concern. But your contributions impact future pension etc

I would not tell your work you are doing this though. Having the copies of the payslips is definitely a good thing. Bu I would just go straight to HMRC

Mummytothearkbuilder · 13/05/2013 20:35

Oh my days - I had the same conversation with DH about magpies this evening - I keep seeing one single magpie everywhere and then get worried its a bad omen - I feel like every bit of logic and reason has gone out the window!! X

ChocolateCremeEggBag · 13/05/2013 20:38

Sorry that was a non preggers post - but managed to get DH (accountant) to give me quick advice and had to type quick.

Great scan news Aoife!!

Diy - SSSSSLLLLLAAAAAAAAPPPPPP (have missed that from the ttc threads)

My boobs have gone from 32DD to 32F this morning. They are like torpedoes

(I too am an accountant btw but have Pregancy induced amnesia on the important bits)
