Vocalista have you had your iron checked recently? If it is not too bad then the Spatone may be fine. I was very anaemic (needed a blood transfusion but they only transfuse you to the point where you can actually function so still v low haem) after birth of my son, tried the iron tablets and after 2 days was in agony. Couple of weeks on dbl dose spatone (what they recommend for pregnancy) sorted me out.
The tablets are the devils work!
DIY sorry to hear about your migraine - it sounds awful. Is there anything safe that you can take?

Bump- so pleased scan was good. Have been worrying about you!

DIY- sound horrific lovely. Sounds like you need to ask for some help with that, hope you are feeling better v soon.

So, I have some new symptoms! Which I am pleased about as pretty much all of the minimal symptoms I had before are gone?!
Dreams are back, particularly weird one last night.
Dizzyness/actually seeing swirly lights. That one is actually quite pretty! And I am used to dizziness- had labrynthitis for 8 months last year :)
And- heartburn! I didn't think that started until much later? Should I be investing in shares in gaviscon now?!

Having a minor panic (again) just received a letter from Dr Surgery and a urine pot asking for a repeat sample due to the results. Am panicking now! Have phoned up and waiting for someone to call me back. Oh for the simple life hey!

Maybe I should put some on now! Still waiting for a dr to call me. Have scarred myself silly googling why they would send a Boric Acid urine sample pot and found serious UTI which has nasty consequences :(

Janie my scan isn't until early afternoon as I needed childcare for my DS. I just want everything to be ok. Every day seems to be a new worry and complication!

Thanks guys. Still being sick every time I try to drink something, that's more than 12 hours chundering now :-( feel so rough. My lovely friend brought her dd round to play with mine this morning which helped pass some time, she's one of the only people apart from family who I don't mind seeing me in pyjamas with unwashed hair! This afternoon is going v slowly though til dp comes home.

I've always had migraines, it's just that now I can only have paracetamol they get completely out of control. I saw the gp several times when pg with dd and the only alternative to paracetamol they could offer was a prophylactic that I've never tried before - didn't want to take any risk to the baby especially if I didn't even know if it would work. The migraines stopped at 17w last time so only 9 weeks to go hopefully...!

lucky hopefully they're just excluding things to be on the safe side?

Lucky- hope the urine test is ok, probably just a contaminated sample- fingers crossed.

Well I'm off to the FMC in London tomorrow at 10am for my first scan. Not sure how I will sleep tonight. I still feel sick which is a good thing but I keep convincing myself of crazy things like I have high hCG as there is something wrong with the baby, or there will be nothing there, or its died.
I want the harmony test and NT scan if I get to 10/12 weeks but I am scared about the results as I am 36.

Good luck JMF I'm sure all those worries are normal and hope all your fears are allayed tomorrow.

jmf good luck tomorrow!! Chances are that as soon as you get there you will calm down (the atmosphere is very peaceful). I mentioned my fears to the doctor who was about to scan me (2 missed miscarriages, expecting the worst) and she didn't waste any time, she put the probe on my bump straight away....then I managed to breathe :-) and enjoy the scan!! You're only 36, please don't worry. I am 35 and my harmony results were fine as they were for a friend of mine who's 38 (and will actually be 39 in a month's time). All the best, let us know how you get on!

Just bought another bottle of prenatal vits - thank you all for your advice!! And some weleda stretch mark oil, never used it before, hope it's good.

DIY sounds horrific, are there any non medicinal alternatives? Acupuncture, reflexology etc?

Ok I'm really freaked out now as the Dr phoned and said there were red bllod cells in my urine sample taken last week. I've just taken a new sample into the Drs and they have just basically said wait for the next scan. Flippty flip why cant I just have normal, boring , straight forward pregnancies. I pray nothing has happened to this little one. Stay with me please.

Lucky I had this at 10 weeks. Urine sample showed +2 for blood and leukocytes. Tests came back negative for everything and that was the end of it. I didn't hear anything about it all, and all my subsequent urine samples have been normal for everything.

DIY I really hope your headaches have cleared and the vomiting stopped. It sounds pretty fecking hideous. Never had migranes, but I have seen what they do to people. Not good.
Lucky could it be something as simple as a UTI? Are they thinking your next scan will explain the RBCs in the urine? Not sure how an ultrasound will do this. You might want to push them to investigate a bit more. I don't think blood in the urine is a sign of MC, but maybe something else that just needs a bit of attention.
JMF keen to hear how you got on at FMC. Will be heading that way myself. I hope you got lots of good news.

OH came home last night half cut and alot more talkative, so sulk appears to be over. Went today for my booking in, appt was for 1.20, wasn't seen by 2.30 and had to leave for another hospital appointment. Grrrrrrrr.

Did the doctor say what that means lucky? Hope all is ok. And good luck for tomorrow jmf, keeping everything crossed that you have a great scan and get to see your tiny baby. I think we all have fears like yours, I felt so much better after seeing a heartbeat on a scan.

Finally stopped being sick and managed to eat something so that's progress! Headache still there, need to force myself to drink (gone right off the idea) and hopefully it will go soon - 4 days is enough! I would be tempted to try alternative therapies but money is an issue and not sure how well it would work as they're hormonal.

Garden - don't do it! I am now against dopplars. I heard hb this time last week clear as anything. I now can't find it. What wa suppose to be a lovely little boost waiting for scan has now turned into nothing fun. Damn it all bod was right, dopplars are the devils work.

Oh and almost forgot - milestone passed, I've got one day further this time than last :-)

IBIP - I so want a Doppler right now! When I questioned Dr on Phone about the blood cells he said maybe bleeding from uterus and asked ifr id had any bleeding. He seemed to imply wait for scan to see if the baby is ok / or miscarrying (Although I always think the worst!)

Hi everyone else

Hello can I tentatively join? Am v scared 51/2 weeks knicker checking obsessive. 2x early mc 7 weeks and 5 weeks so could well happen again. However this time I do feel different - sore boobs, white cm, not sore back, tired, hungry but feel sick at times. Plus i got strong test result - went preg v quickly and 2-3 weeks. all other times only said 1-2. Crossing fingers it stays. I get mild cramps but I think this is normal right? They come and go. Argh stressful time. Just want 12 weeks to be here.

Will now read rest of thread to catch up. Am also still hovering on old thread so not to jinx things
