Hiya all.
T4T- Bung the whole thing in there lol. Apparently that Magicool spray is a life saver too so I'll be trying that next.

Feeling utterly shite today. Don't know what's up. I feel crappy 'cos I got absolutely no sleep what so ever last night & ended up pottering around at 3am. Since yesterday (& it's getting worse) I feel dizzy, nauseous & "not with it" iykwim. Very odd. Going to see how I feel later after grabbing some sleep.
Also had the horrible experience of being able to breather properly last night. Be so glad when this horrendous heat lifts.

How's everyone?

32wks today not long now!!!!!

Hiya girls!

i read somewhere that headaches are a sign of mc. is this true? im watching and analysing everything now and ive only known i was pg since last night. I just feel so scared about having a scan again!
Are there signs? or am i being stupid?
I felt really sick last night, never in the mornings though. Also a bit dizzy and had a cracking Headache last night. Im sure i felt like this last time though, just not as sick. Scan showed baby stopped groeing at 7 weeks. I found out i was pg at 8 weeks, so must have still felt sick after that! arrghhhh!!

wools · 20/07/2006 10:36

Hi all,

Yes agree this heat is hideous. Had a horrible nightmare last night that I had another miscarriage...it felt so real. Was so relieved to find I'd only dreamt it.

Welcome Mia and congratulations- you are in good company...all of us on this thread have felt like you...TBH I don;t think the worry ever really disappears - you just learn to live with it. I'm sure everything will be fine this time.

mia84 · 20/07/2006 10:47

thanks wools
How many weeks are you?? congrats btw
It was a big shock for us to find out yesterday, but my boyf took it better than i thought so i'm feeling a lot happier, just scared shitless. I think it was the fact that last time i didnt know until the scan, made me feel stupid, like i should have known. Im scared that theres something wrong and i cant carry a baby! Sorry to whinge on at you, its just good to be able to get it all out.

Mia xx

caitlinsmummy · 20/07/2006 10:52

Hey, thanks for that mygirllollipop. So it is quite normal to be told you're earlier than you think? Im 7 weeks 2 morro roughly. Next scan is august the 3rd. Dr signed me off work for 3 weeks on monday as i am so worried and as i had wee bit spottting, xx

Arabica · 20/07/2006 14:10

Hello--am now 38 + 1 and my C-section is in one week's time. Am terrified that something will go wrong at the last minute. Am also terrified that I might melt in the heat.
Congratulations 2cats. We've just celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary! Went to local-ish posh gastropub where everyone was v glamorous and skinny except me.

Nerva · 20/07/2006 14:13

Hello to you all. Have just joined. I will be 8 weeks tomorrow. Had traces of brown in my discharge on Wednesday. Thrown into panic as that is what happend with m/c last October. Have booked in for early scan next Wednesday - seems an eternity away!
Feeling sick on and off but no sore boobs which is worrying me. Mind you evertyhing worries me at the moment. It's cooler today - much better!

SnowBoo · 20/07/2006 16:16

Well had stitch out today and he also done a sweep whilst he was up there! Talk about pain.... So hopefully something will happen this w'end as brothers wedding next Sat!!! Panic stations.... Feel very sore and getting strong pain when i walk about but just waiting for a sign. Not sure what i'm waiting for thou. Didn't have any signs with ds, just went into painful labour after a miniscule trickle.

Twocats congrats on your wedding!

Well i'm off for another wee to try and pop something and then a hot curry tonight!!!
Will catch up over the next couple of days xx

Arabica · 20/07/2006 17:20

SnowBoo, you might end up having the baby before me...but you never know--Slink didn't have hers for quite a while after the stitch came out.
Welcome Nerva! The anxiety is horrid isn't it. I know it won't make you feel better but quite a few of us, including me, had brown bleeding/discharge in the early stages of our pregnancies. And now I am a big fat 38 wk whale!

twocatsonthebed · 20/07/2006 18:01

Hello everyone - and welcome to Nerva and mia84.

Blimey, it's a sprint to the finish between Snowboo and Arabica then - I shall keep my eye out for news. And congratulations Arabica on your 16th anniversary!

In other news, I am still melting in the Somerset heat (but not quietly, in a noisy and complaining fashion) and eating too many ice creams. And it's only going to get worse, the icecream maker that we got as one of our wedding presents arrives on Saturday....hmmm chocolate and raspberry I think to start....

time4tea · 20/07/2006 19:01

hello all,

Welcome Mia and Nerva - I'm 8 weeks now, had my scan last week and saw a little heartbeat, big relief after mc in April. There was a great thread recently about coping with the stress of pg after mc - I recommend it, I read it when I'm feeling bleak.

I called the EPU in the end about the heat and whether it could affect the baby- felt like a fool, but they were great - apparently we must keep fluid intake up, but as long as our own temp doesnt get to 39/40 there's no harm at all for the baby.

HK and SnowB I feel for you being really preggers in this heat - no wonder you feel knackered. A warning about the heat in hospitals, I had my DS in March and it was still 28 degress in the hospital, I found a water spray very helpful.

thanks for the frozen hottie tip - will give it a go!

Will keep positive vibes going to baby thou to try and will him out!

Think i'll have a Chinese tonight. See if it works....

Have packed water spray in hosp bag but it wasn't too bad in there y'day. Nice and cool which surprised me really!

hi all! I am a bit worried, my dd fell on my tummy about an hour ago and bn having wee pain in my right side ever since..called hospital, and said if pain persists or gets worse or bleeding then to call bk, i am so so worried xx

wools · 21/07/2006 12:38

Hi all,

Welcome Nerva...it is such a worrying time and I'm sure Wednesday does feel like an eternity - try and take it one day at a time...I'm sure it will be fine.

Congrats Arabica on 16th anniversary...can;t believe your little one is nearly here.

Snowboo - sorry you had such a rough night. I hope you're managing to rest up today in anticipation of the big event.

Caitlinsmummy - I understand how you;re so worried but remember baby is very well cushioned in there. Try and take it easy for a few hours if you can.

Mia - how are you bearing up? I think the early stages are definately the hardest in terms of worry. Once you get to 12 weeks you'll feel much better although fresh worries will probably then take over. I'm 28 weeks today and my latest worry is the baby not moving too much - so you see it never ends.

Mygirl - have a great holiday. No nasty nightmares for me last night thank goodness.

caitlinsmummy · 21/07/2006 12:41

thanks wools. so worried and my next scan isnt til 2 weeks away. Still have the wee niggling pain in my side tho. Really hope baby is ok xx

wools · 21/07/2006 12:53

Is the pain very bad or is it that you're just very aware of it. Maybe have a relaxing bath and a lie-down and see if that helps at all.

caitlinsmummy · 21/07/2006 14:46

hi wools no pain very very very mild now. had a bath , which helped. it was a pain in my right side, which was sort of pain that when i breathed in it was sore. But baby is in the middle somewhere isnt it? 7 weeks today xx
