HK - Hope you managed to get a rest okay. How are things going?

caitlinsmummy · 14/07/2006 12:43

thanku everyone. Still worried bout my scan in 3 weeks, hoping everything will still be ok xx

Arabica · 14/07/2006 13:26

How exciting HK! Hope it all goes well and you get a bit of a rest. My neighbour's on her 3rd and having a similar stop/start thing.
My baby was v quiet yesterday and I started to get worried--it's as if I can't believe I really am going to get to have a baby after this long period of worry and stress. But there's so little room left in my bump it's not surprising I'm not feeling much.

diddle · 14/07/2006 14:04

HK - hope you're doing ok, any developments?? have hardly had a minute to come on here. 1 handed typing is hard.

Arabica - keep an eye on those movements, although baby will have less room, they should still move. ring the ward if it goes on 4 24 hours.

Arabica · 14/07/2006 14:13

Hi Diddle. It's been moving today so I feel OK.

Hellkat- hope you're on you way and can join us on the postnatal thread soon.
mygirl- I haven't mastered typing while b/f or 2 handed while holding DD3. Can only just about manage 1 handed while holding her asleep (what I'm doing now!)
Hope everyone else is well.

HellKat · 14/07/2006 18:15

Hiya all.
Well they died down, again lol. Still feel very heavy & she's definitely wedged herself further into my pelvis. There was something lovely about being sat out in the sun, bump exposed & having contractions. Almost felt like being in a warm bath.
No doubt it'll be like this right up until due date. I'm still aiming for 34 wks (I'm 31+1) because ds2 was so healthy & we know what we're dealing with.

Have a great night all.

D'oh! Thought you were on your way over to us post-natal lot!

slinkstah · 16/07/2006 00:30

HK- ahhhh please don't have the baby yet! go and lie down, in fact do a hand stand and stay like that please! only 5 more weeks and baby will not need any special care, and you'll be able to bring her home with you etc

congrats caitlinsmummy

mygirl- yep i can do it with a few cushions- although my biggest feat is going to the loo whilst BF

snowboo- arghhh stitch out very soon are you excited?

arabica- congrats on being 37 weeks- the time has gone so quickly recently! my anxiety levels are ok, thanks for asking hun, it helps as eden is a really good baby and never crys unless he's starving, still a bit more sleep would be nice.

hope everyone else is ok xx

Well stitch out either tomoorow or Weds so getting nervous now as it feels like he's trying to escape already! Very bad back pains y'day and today so looks like it might well be soon (i hope).
Only thing is i don't want him to come tomorrow as it will be two years since i lost my last baby so feeling anxious but excited. Just hope i have a moment to go to his grave to put his pressies down! Have hosp bag packed finally (at 37+weeks....) so will let you all know tomorrow eve how i get on!

Hope all else are well, x

ProfYaffle · 17/07/2006 14:53

Just wanted to drop in and say Hi to everyone, I've been on holiday for the last couple of weeks so haven't posted for ages.

I'm 8 weeks now, seeing the midwife tomorrow but I'm not hopeful of getting an early scan as I've only had one early m/c previously. Have been toying with the idea of going private but dh thinks I'm being over anxious. Still, see what the m/w says tomorrow ....

Good luck HK and SB.

diddle · 17/07/2006 15:26

hello hello hello,

HK keep your little one for a little longer matey, she needs to cook some more first. Hope you're doing well, i cannot believe that you're 31 wks already, i miss being pregnant so much and wish i could do those last few weeks again, i loved my bump and feeling like he could come at anytime. Make the most of it.

Snowboo - good luck with your stitch removal, and i hope you have a peaceful day tomorrow, to remember and prepare

How hot is it???? I think i'm melting!!

twocatsonthebed · 17/07/2006 17:55

Hello, I'm back, and a newly married woman, and all that. We had the most fabulous day and a lovely week off and now it's back to work. Ah well.

Glad everyone's keeping fine - HK, hang in there, and Snowboo, good luck with the stitch removal.

Caitlinsmummy, glad the scan was good news. Fingers crossed.

I am now 24 weeks and huge (although some of that might be down to all the wonderful food I ate last week). I will look like the Graf Zeppelin before this is all over...

wools · 17/07/2006 19:38

Hi everyone.

Snowboo - Good luck with the stitch removal...not long now hopefully.

Twocats - Congratulations.... Glad you had a great wedding day and week off....Welcome back.

I am finding the weather a bit much at the moment - wish it would cool down.

Morning all.
SB- Good luck!!!
Hope everyone's well & bearing up in this yucky heat!
I'm not sleeping at all (only managing a couple of hours at night) but resorted to using a frozen hot water bottle to alleviate the "hot feet syndrome" & it works!!! Hoorah!!!!!!!!!!!
Been getting loads of twinges, some regular but not worried at all. She'll come when she's ready lol. I really should pack the hospital bag
Can't wait until Monday when we get to see her again , that's when we find out just how big she's got. My bump's now totally dropped so pretty sure she's 100% engaged.
I'm being a bad mum tomorrow. it's going to hit 36deg here tomorrow so letting ds1 stay off school. By the sounds of it though it looks like most kids are too. Far to hot to be in black trousers & in a classroom with no air con what so ever.

Have a great day all. Love to all.

slinkstah · 18/07/2006 13:24

snowboo- good luck for the stitch removal

twocats- did you go anywhere on honeymoon? glad the day went well.

mygirl- what do you mean its your last? aren't ya gonna have another few? i thought you'd carry on until a boy popped out
i couldn't get internet either yesterday, it was bt's fault.

hk - i would keep my kids off school too but they would drive me crazy lol

twocatsonthebed · 18/07/2006 17:22

oh, alright then mygirl - I just didn't want to bore on!

We had an absolutely lovely day - I really wouldn't have changed a thing about it. Got married at lunchtime at the Registry Office with about 50 friends and family there, a bit of photos in the next door riverside park, and then all off to our venue (the private members club above a theatre) for Pimms and nibbles then a sit down dinner which went on till about 8. We didn't have an evening do after that as loads of people had to get back to London/kids/far-flung bits of the country.

None of it was formal at all - I wore a pink flowery silk dress over cream jersey trousers, while DH (!) who doesn't like jackets as he thinks he looks like a schoolboy just had a pink Liberty print shirt and grey linen trousers.

There, will that do? Oh, and we had the most scrummy and gorgeous chocolate wedding cake too. Then we just went off for six days in Yorkshire (thank goodness, I don't think I could have coped with anything hotter!) and ate fantastic food and sat on Scarborough beach in a deckchair. We didn't want a huge honeymoon, mainly because we're saving money and holiday for the forthcoming event - I'm a freelance and so won't get much of either once lo is here.

Right, hope no one has actually melted today. Work is about 40 degrees hotter than necessary, so I've been working from home, a definition which today included an hour and half's siesta. Spanish working hours, it's the way forward...

time4tea · 18/07/2006 17:43

hello all

HellKat - thanks for the hotfeet tip - can you explain what you do exactly? put the whole hot water bottle in the freezer, or something else??

Prof Yaff - I went for my scan (7 weeks and one day) last week - my EPU offered it as I'd had a missed miscarriage. it was really worth it - and they offered me to go back again next week (9wks) to check again...

hoping this hot weather isn't doing our beanies any harm...

Hi t4t - nope, was not offered an early scan, I obviously didn't look traumatised enough! I told her I was considering a nuchal fold scan (even though I'm not) which means they'll make the dating scan as early as possible, about 11 weeks, and I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so not too long to wait.

Congrats 2 cats, sounds like a lovely day.
