that's great news T4T! Really pleased for you. Try and enjoy being pg and don't think too much about the next few months.

I have had 2 miscarriages, one at 5 weeks and a missed miscarriage where the baby had died at 7 1/2 to 8 weeks which I found out sbout at 12 week scan, so scared that happens again. This was 2 years ago xx

caitlinsmummy - i also had a missed mc, only about 3 months ago. It's awful, I know the reassurance of today might not last long, with a missed mc you don't even have the comfort of knowing no news is good news. all I can say is, try to book lots of relaxing and fun things to do to keep you occupied (last week I went to the theatre twice, watched a few videos in the evening and caught up with loads of reading for work....) good luck - fingers crossed for you

Hi Slinkstah! Glad to hear you're OK. Now the baby's safely here, how are your anxiety levels? My consultant warned me that people who've had stressful pregnancies (and let's face it yours could hardly have been more stressful!) often find the period following the post-birth euphoria harder to cope with.

Arabica · 12/07/2006 11:37

Forgot to add--am 37 weeks today! Woohoo!

caitlinsmummy · 12/07/2006 14:59

hey evryone.
Was at work today and had spotting slightly, left work and called the hospital but they cant scan me until tomorrow morning at 8.30am. I am so fed up and sitting here crying. I am 6 weeks 3 days, was meant to have scan monday but now its tomorrow. I am so worried.... No more spotting now tho, just that one time xx

Hi Slink! Next week stitch comes out but not sure if i'll make it! Getting some really painful pains which have been getting worse as the week progresses. Dh has upset me so i've a good mind to go into labour tonight!!!!! That'll shut him up. Keeps saying pains are wind. Like he knows all about being pg. Arghhhhhhh!!!!!

Hows life with Eden? Can't wait for the lack of sleep (well, suffering already but at least i'll have someone to get up for, not cos my boobs have leaked/i need a wee/i can't sleep on my back!)

caitlinsmummy · 12/07/2006 20:25

Caitlinsmummy, good luck, we are thinking of you!

wools · 13/07/2006 15:01

Hi everyone....just been catching up with all the news.
Caitlinsmummy - I hope that everything went okay at your scan today. It's such a stressful time. I too have had 2 miscarriages and had spotting around the 7 week mark in this pregnancy, the hospital never did find out what caused the spotting.
Mygirl - sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it.
Arabica - Congrats on getting to 37 weeks - nearly there!

caitlinsmummy · 13/07/2006 18:02

Hey everyone!! scan today was showing im just under 6 weeks again!! Got a heartbeat. But midwife said to take it easy as i could still be at risk as last pregnancy i lost baby at 7 1/2 to 8 weeks. so worried still. Thought it was good sign to get heartbeat, but she said that if theyd scanned me last time at this stage could still have got heartbeat, but then go on to have missed miscarriage at 7 1/2 to 8 weeks. so she didnt exactly make me feel better. . . Got another scan in 3 weeks xx

wools · 13/07/2006 18:31

That's great news Caitlinsmummy. The heartbeat is a fantastic sign. I'm sure the midwife meant well but saying these things to a woman who's had previous miscarriages will only make her worry more. I think the best thing to do is take 1 day at a time - enjoy your good news for the moment - you deserve it.

caitlinsmummy · 13/07/2006 19:41

Thanks so much wools, keeping my fingers crossed and praying like mad xx

Arabica · 13/07/2006 23:48
