Hurrah!
Yes, CH, I am booked in for a section on friday. Holy craporama - I'm now typing "Friday" and not "next Friday" or "6 weeks on Friday!.....
Just want to have the baby now. Pregnancy is not a state that I generally relish though I obviously thank my lucky stars to be in this condition.
DH will have the mumsnet tutorial on Thursday night so that he can post and let everyone know how things went. I won't be able to get online til I get home afterwards - maybe 5 days so will be in complete MN withdrawal!
How is college going? Is all of this mad coming and going making you even more excited about midwifery?

spub · 24/06/2006 18:25

Ps - HK, truly hope all is going ok with you.

CH are you sure you didn't poke diddle's other half?????

Cheers, MyGirl.
Yup, I also hope that all is ok with HK. Hard not to worry when we've all been through so much with each other. Will be good to hear some news.
How are you doing?

Oh wow! Congratulations to Slink and Diddle. I'm so very, very pleased for you both (and after waiting so long).
HK, I hope you're OK--thinking of you, please let us know how you are.
Spub, i didn't realise you were so soon. Not me next then!
I have a C-section date now, 27 July, when I will be 39+1. However, if the fluid levels in the baby's brain continue to rise they might choose to bring him/her out earlier. I'll find out in 2 weeks at my next scan.
It's weird knowing that whatever happens, baby won't arrive any later than 27 July. Hope they don't kick me off the August thread!

petrified · 25/06/2006 01:10

hi there just thought id say hello, only joined today but been looking for about a week!
I'm due 25/9 i miscarried last july @ 12weeks.

Congrats, petrified. Welcome to the thread, here's to a stress-free pregnancy!

Munz · 25/06/2006 09:28

sorry for the gate crash girls, just wanna say a big congrats to diddle. and hoping HK is doing ok (I remember from when I was TTC)

HellKat · 25/06/2006 09:50

Hiya all.
Finally back!!!
Got back yesterday late afternoon after kicking up enough fuss. Bar 2 mw's there & the consultants, the rest were awful!! They refused to listen to the consultants (& me) when they said I was 2cms dilated & contracting (kept calling them "irregular tightenings" even though they were timed at exactly 2 mins apart & 1.50 mins long!!!!!) Luckily the main people there with clout (i.e consultants) relaised what happened. Anyhoo, labouring stopped. She measured on Tuesday at 27+5 2lb5ozs!!!!!!!!!!! They said if I get to term she'll be 9/10lbs (and yep it's a little girl )
On top of everything I've now got a lovely uti & bone infection where my pelvic bones joins (where I normally get spd) so it's all great! But feeling very happy, chilled etc now that i know she's healthy & big. They're not sure how long I've got, could basically labour at anytime so taking it all easy. My cervix is still dilated and I've got severe thinning & funnelling. But it's holding together for now & that's the main thing.
Now I know why I'm so huge .
congrats to Diddle & Slink!!! Well done girls!!

((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to everyone else, thankyou xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

slinkstah · 25/06/2006 11:37

CH- opppps sorry about letting cat outta bag thought people were still worrying
spub- good luck for friday
petrified- hi and welcome

HK- hope your on bedrest hun, hospital experience sounds awful, i know what its like to be told that im having tightenings when its real blumin labour- makes ya sooo mad doesn't it! its great she is a great weight. do you reckon you have a incompetent cervix too? please rest up {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Coathanger · 25/06/2006 11:45

HK - Have mailed you hun, but will say again how happy I am that things are good at the moment and WOW!! what a big girl!! Take care sweetie and take it easy xxx

Spub - There must be something about MN and giving birth on a friday eh?!? Can't believe all these due dates are coming round so soon. And,yes, all this babypopping is making me so excited about starting my course. Poor Diddle I have pestered her something chronic. I just have this obsession with pregnancy, chilbirth and new babies!! Good job really if I want to be a midwife!! But it is all so lovely to see all my mates from the TTC thread not only getting BFP but now holding their babies. Hold them tight girls and enjoy them - they are very precious...

Hi Petrified and congratulations!!

Coathanger · 25/06/2006 11:46

Awww, Slink hun, its ok - was only joking . I haven't got a problem you letting this "lot" () know. You go for it sweetie

HK.......

Glad everything is going OK.
You had us worried for a while.
Your DH is a star for telling us what was going on. Good on him.

Now rest up no washing at 0600hrs and hoovering etc. Leave the housework to someone else.

HellKat · 25/06/2006 16:15

Slink- Yep my cervix is officially knackered!! Not sure if it's always been dodgy (they've never scanned it before) but now it's very short, very thin, has a lovely funnel where the baby's head is plus everytime I cough it opens (not great when I'm already 2cms).
I've been good & taking it very easy (for once ). They were'nt sure if I was having little shows (like Slink did) but all I'll say is very similar to Slink's snotty fanjo .
At least now all contractions stopped (since yesterday) & all I've got is a nagging backache (surprisingly no spd pain, considering there's an infection there). Feeling very good
Have a great sunday all, off to watch England

spub · 25/06/2006 17:36

Wow.
Glad all is well, HK. That's a great, big daughter you are incubating so sit tight and rest up!So pleased that all is well.
Petrified - Hi and welcome to the thread. Hopefully, all of these babies arriving safely are a good omen for the thread as a whole.
CH - Glad you are feeling enthused about the career choice!
It's been even more lovely then usual on this thread for the last few days and soooo nice to catch up with some old mates.
Arabica et al, thanks for the good wishes re Friday. I'll be on LOADS before then! Also hope things are okay with baby's fluid levels. Fingers crossed.
Hope you're all having a great weekend and enjoying the footie

I'm not sure you'll rememeber me but just wanted to say a big to Congratulations Slink and Diddle on the new arriavls its so exciting and has given me renewed hope!Sorry I haven't posted very much but I have been checking in to see how you are all are getting on.
HK hope things have settled down for you and you are getting lots of rest.
My news is that I will be 16 weeks tomorrow. No stitch for me...yet(so might have to change my log in name!) but I have been put on progesterone pesseries and have cervical scans every 3 weeks so far everything is looking good. Keeping everything crossed and wishing all the pregnant ladies happy and healthy pregnancies and all the new mums a big congratulations!Sorry for anyone I've missed.

SnowBoo · 26/06/2006 14:07

SLINK AND DIDDLE!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! AND ABOUT TIME TOO!

Wow, i'm so jealous of you both, want my baby now, only three weeks til my stitch comes out so counting down stitch day. Hopefully baby will be as fed up and want to make an appearance! Slink, you have shattered my illusions of baby coming as soon as stitch is out! Maybe i'll have to tell my bro i might not be at the wedding after all Poor love is already stressed about me ruining his big day!

Diddle, Joshua is a lovely name. We still haven't settled on a real name, only Melman courtesy of ds.....Hey ho, if he has yellow hair, brown spots and a long neck i guess the choice is made!!!!

Hope everyone else is well.

I have a cold sore due to sheer tiredness but can't sleep as i keep waking up to clean FFS! And in pain, feels like he is picking the stitch for me. And i've now taken to BITING the soap and swishing it about in my mouth whilst trying not to ingest any of it Hope i return to normal after this. Worried i will get PND again but really lose it.
Please tell me i'm not the only one to feel like this....

FN · 26/06/2006 15:25

Phew just caught up after my weekend away....
CONGRATULATIONS TO SLINK AND DIDDLE on your births well done..........

HK glad you home now and keep resting...best of luck for going full term hun. xx
