petunia · 21/06/2006 09:41

Morning all,
I'm still lurking.
Wills-I know there's nothing going on with the post-natal lot at the moment, we need more people! I have to keep coming here to get some excitement!
Emily is 8 wks old tomorrow and has her first jabs next week (hate that side of being a parent!)

oinker · 21/06/2006 10:06

Jen x
Praying that all goes safe and well.
Big hugs and love to you all.

Wonder if Slink has beaten Diddle to it on the birth front?

HellKat- THanks jens dh for letting us know, please give her hugs n kisses from us

snowboo- waking up in a panic about birth is not good, maybe you should see someone about it and get your fears layed to rest before the real birth.

pet/cori/wills - miss ya on this thread can't wait to join ya on the postnatal im sure my TMI storys will perk stuff up and i reckon ill have plenty of those after the birth

well yesterday my midwife gave me reflexology and recommended sex so i did that- can't say it was up to much though lol felt a bit weird knowing babys head is just up there. I also have just had accupunture too. I have felt a few rather strong contractions today but until i get regular painful ones im not shouting labour as it will prob just go away.

no news i see from diddle, i hope her labour isn't too long, looks like she will definatly beat me to babyland.

SnowBoo · 21/06/2006 13:41

SLINK!!!! Every time i think we'll get a baby from you, you appear with no news!!!! Get jumping on your ball love! And get dh's sperm and keep smothering it on .
Oh, been told turmeric mixed into little balls with a drop of sugar and water is the way to go!

Must go now, just came over all faint!!!!

GOOD LUCK xxxx

Arabica · 21/06/2006 14:44

Where exactly should one put the turmeric balls???? Wouldn't baby come out with a yellow head?

Wills · 21/06/2006 14:52

God I miss this thread. am going to spend the day wondering where the tmeric balls go.

good luck hk

Hahahaha loads of pg women are now rolling little balls of turmeric and shving them places they shouldn't be shoved!

SORRY! Should've been a bit clearer....

Well i'm off to Kingston on Sat shopping with my mum and i'm getting excited. See what i can get her to buy for me. Spoilt brat here. And loving it! I can honestly say i have the best mum in the whole universe!!!!

Who thinks the baby monitors with a tv screen are a good idea? Dh thinks a waste of money but at least i can watch ds with baby at all times without having to follow them about!

Coathanger · 21/06/2006 20:48

hi again!!

Okay, I haven't heard from Diddle since 2.15 this afternoon. I am sure she won't mind me updating you with her progress.

As I said this was the situation at 2.15pm - had just had second lot of gel. If that didn't work and they couldn't safely break her waters, she might need a c-section tomorrow She had some strong contractions after her first lot of gel (prostin pains which I warned her about) but they stopped. She is understandably fed up

I text her at 7.30pm but no answer at all so I am positive that it is a good sign.

No news from Slink yet.....

slinkstah · 21/06/2006 21:30

oooh fingers crossed diddle is in labour and all goes well. sounds like she under alot of pressure! aren't you suppose to be relaxed to go into labour, hope their not scaring her about unneccessary cesaerans.
Please let us know as soon as you hear anything coathanger xxxxx

and im still waiting not getting any contractions, well only the occasional strong one anyway, typical really! ive got yoga tommorrow they are gonna laugh when they see me turn up again!
also i have got a headache and a bit of a sore throat, this is not something i should worry about is it?

snowboo- lucky you said, i had just made some tumeric balls and was just about to insert

SnowBoo · 21/06/2006 21:36

LOL!!!!
WHAT are you doing here young lady???? Thought we'd be getting reports of pain and wanting to push! Now get a move on, making me nervous!

I can't afford to go over due as my brother will hate me forever!!!!

At this rate i'll be in labour before you....

Coathanger · 21/06/2006 21:57

Will do Slink...

Now will you please concentrate on getting on with having your little one!!!!!! Oh and just mention sore throat etc. to midwife, might have a cold coming.

oinker · 22/06/2006 07:20

Oh by the way, I hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread for a while just while we are waiting to hear from Diddle Slink and HK. They are great friends of mine and just want to keep up really Promise I will be no trouble....
