just a quickie this morning, i'm melting.

still no baby here, had a sweep on Thursday, hasn;t done a thing. booked in for induction on the 20th if nothing happens before, baby is more engaged, but cervix isn't doing a right lot.

Slink - keep those legs crossed till Monday

mygirllolipop · 10/06/2006 13:56

Too. Hot. Melting!

diddle · 10/06/2006 16:49

I am now officially a puddle. Our lounge is at the back of the house with a conservatory attached, and the sun shines on it all day. its like sitting in a greenhouse. Took the dog for a walk and it was cooler outside.
i do love the summer, just wish i could enjoy it.

slinkstah · 11/06/2006 11:17

just checking in:)
nothing to report though apart from "oh my god its HOT!"

mygirllolipop · 11/06/2006 19:38

OMG me and the kids went for a walk to the woods, were there 5 mins and we all watched a teenager fall spectactularly from his bike. Had to reassure the kids cos he looked a sight blood everywhere and he was so confused just walkinga round. This is the fourth emergency I've been involved in since October!

Wills · 11/06/2006 21:23

Oooohhhhhhh so slink and diddle are down to a final race. Ooooohhhh

Arabica · 12/06/2006 00:36

It's WAY too hot to be pregnant or having a baby! Hope you're both feeling comfortable, Slink and Diddle xxx

oinker · 12/06/2006 08:44

mygirl - whats the other emergencys you've been in? what hapened to the boy?

I am sitting in front of a fan and ill be staying here until school pick up i imagine lol

i am starting to think the dr has left some stitch in my cervix! or maybe my cervix is so scarred it won't open anymore, meaning a cs. Im starting to think i am going to go to my due date or beyond!! how ironic!
im starting the raspberry leaf tea today and i will do some more bouncing on my birth ball. I am having really strong contractions but they never lead to anything regular!

mygirllolipop · 12/06/2006 11:21

Slink- somebody has a thread in the pg section looking for you (about your TMI snot!)
First time I had to ring 999 there was an elderly lady fell over in front of me we had to ring amulance, don't think she'd broken anything in the end but can't be too careful with the elderly. Second time, some to$$er got road rage on us, stopped the car in the road and got out to confront us with DDs and friend in car, his hands down his bl00dy pants. Then a diabetic colapsed in front of us when I picked DH up from work one day. Then of course there was DD3's bust lip accident (which I'd forgot about Blush). This lad as far as I could tell had a gashed leg (nothing to worry about), bruishing on his chest (poss broken ribs/collar bone/s), def broken wrist poss other wrist broken too and a bust nose/lip with a lot of blood but nothing to worry about. the concerning thing was he seemed really out of it, rolling his eyes and wandering around, saying odd stuff like how will i get to the hospital to the ambulancemen.

SnowBoo · 12/06/2006 11:41

House would be spotless if it wasn't for my DH! He is so good at making a mess, says its so i have something to clean.....cheek!
Have now gone mad with the Dove soap, eating, smelling and smothering myself in it. Last night left it on my skin til it dried, then realised that i'm a freak and washed it off Blush.

Baby is wriggling but seems to be running out of room fast. I can't stretch as quickly as he is growing.

Got my 32 week scan tomorrow so i get to see how big he is! I can tell them without a scan. HUGE!

ANd its too hot. Making dh get my a/c unit out of the garage and setting it up in my bedroom so at least i should get a bit of sleep.

Slink and Diddle, any news yet? Am so jealous that you are nearly there!

diddle · 12/06/2006 12:20

afternoon ladies,

well nothing happening here, baby is very comfy and staying put, while i am sweltering in the heat. got my fan blowing on me now though, not moving unless i have to.
Slink - can't believe we're still here.
i'm 40+4 today, but i'm not holding out any hope of going into labour naturally, think i'm going to end up making it to induction next Tuesday.

slinkstah · 12/06/2006 16:22

i can't seem to leave the house without someone asking me whether its twins!!!

i must be humungous

snowboo- dove soap??? agree that your a freak Grin

mygirl - i found the snot thread! at least im not the only one with strange tmi snot lol
crazy things do seem to keep happening around you! the road rage incident sounds awful!

diddle - labour was quite spontanous with my 1st so you may just burst into labour at any time before your induction fingers crossed.
the professor that put my stitch in she said when i was 32 weeks "oh my god your still here! fantastic. I bet you will go over and need to be induced" she's bloody cursed me!

oinker · 13/06/2006 08:05

Any movements!!!! Wink

HellKat · 13/06/2006 08:14

Sending huge labour vibes your way girlies!!!!!

Slink- I know what you mean about people asking if it's twins. I'm only 26+5 & so far 5 people have asked me if it's twins or if I'm due! Shock.

I got dp to take a pic on Friday of my "bump, mountain etc" so shall be sending it. Slink if you want to see hun I don't have your addy.

How's everyone coping in this horrendous heat? Last night was bloody awful. Spent about 2 hrs just lying there, fan on full to hot to move or sleep. So far I've been having a siesta every day it's been hot. Feel like a lazy cow lol. Been getting all the housework, washing done etc before 6am (I've been getting up around 4) & then flaking out around lunchtime & still being knackered come 10ish.

Good luck anyone with appointments, scans etc.
{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} to all xxxxxxxx

mygirllolipop · 13/06/2006 08:51

Slink - hope that woman hasn't cursed you into going overdue!

Have you all seen the threads complaining about what people say? They're in the pg boards. People getting offended (rightly so) when others ask if baby was planned (sometimes due to a small or large age gap), does DH know or even is it DH's! You are huge, is it more than one type comments too. And also the one that pi$$es me off is are you hoping/trying for a boy.

HK - I don't think I'm much less big as you on that photo! I have my 20wk scan next Weds and already the bump is bigger than the other bumps were at 20 wks.

Diddle- I was spontaneous labour with all 3, but DD1 was 5 days over so sending you luck!

It's DD2's 5th on Thurs, still dunno what we're gonna do for it!

slinkstah · 13/06/2006 09:57

HK- would love to see it, ive sent you email:)
i don't think i slept at all last night because of the heat, i had a fan too but still no sleep, i will def have a seista today.

mygirl- i have my ds's 9th coming up in a fortnight and can't really plan much because of the impending birth! poor ds, it will be a last minute thing like bowling and pizzahut, i have told him though next year he is having a huge disco!

the only reasons i can think of why labour hasn't happened is because-
-crappy surgeon left some stitch in
-scar tissue on cervix is so bad that nothing will open it
-my cervix is only weak in the middle of it therefore BIG babys head spreads the weight more equally not causing it to open
-im cured of incompetent cervix

wish there was someone who knew, i should chill on it really and just wait patiently- after all why am i so desperate to have a broken fanjo and leaky boobies?

mygirllolipop · 13/06/2006 10:03

slink - it seems like a lot of women on that website you linked about IC, ironically didn't go straight into labour. but hope you and diddle do soon!

twocatsonthebed · 13/06/2006 10:37

slink and diddle - you must both be melting with heat and frustration!

HK - where did you get your amazing linen trousers, they sound like just what I am after (I have a couple of nice skirts but can't stand the feeling of my superfat thighs rubbing against each other!)

how's everyone else doing?

spub · 13/06/2006 11:56

Slink and diddle - huge labour vibes!
LoL at broken fanjos and leaking boobs!
2cats - dunno about anyone else's linen trews but I got some form Blooming marvellous. Fab. Like wearing jammies outside!
Hope you're all well.

Arabica · 13/06/2006 12:27

Haven't you had those babies yet??? Hope it's all happening. Broken fanjos, here we go! Well actually, in my case it's going to be the nip'n'tuck option as I am too posh to push.
Am back at the internet cafe as we have the painters in this week and I am banned from the house due to fumes. So, very good luck to you both.

slinkstah · 13/06/2006 18:34

OMG what a day!
story coming up...

on sat night ds stayed round his friends house, his friends mum took them to a concrete skatepark and ds dropped in to a large ramp and fell on to his arm, he was wearing no padding! He came back sunday from his friends house in pain. I assumed it was bruised and put a bandage on it etc.
today at school he fell on his arm whilst playing football and it swelled up, the school called me to pick him up. I took him to the minor injuries unit to get it xrayed and its flipin broken!!
so poor ds is in half plaster and i have to take him to the main hospital to get it full pastered on friday.

I rang my friend to pick up dd whilst all this was going on and she didn't respond to calls and texts and voicemail! so i had to make other arrangements. the thing is she is the one who is on "call" to take the kids when i go into labour! So now i feel like she is not reliable and im in a panic about it!

what do i do about crappy "on call" friend? and what do i do about ds's friends mum who obviously thought taking my ds skateboarding on concrete ramps with NO padding or helmet was a good idea!!!

oinker · 13/06/2006 19:27

OMG you poor thing. Sad and your poor DS.

How is he?

Some people are bloody idiots!!!!!!!!Angry
I suppose you are fortunate it was his arm that was broken. I mean that is bad enough. Could you imagine a leg.. How would you manage...

Tell your mate to sort her life out. You are going to have to be a bit harsh on her.
Why was her phone switched off?
Get DP to sort things for you
Try and stay calm though (stress is no good for baby)... I'll get angry for you!

OP posts:
HellKat · 13/06/2006 20:08

Slink- I'd be bloody furious hun. I remember when ds1 broke his arm (jumping off of a bunk bed at his dads) & it was'nt pleasant. Is there anyone else you can call as a labour stand in? What about dp's family?
Twocats- I got them from ebay hun. Really cheap too. Got a couple of pairs of maternity 3/4 length trousers too from there. Definitely worth scouting around.

SnowBoo · 13/06/2006 20:27

God Slink thats awful! Poor ds, he must've been in agony!!

Well, get my stitch out in 5 weeks and counting! Baby is averaging a weight of 5lb 5oz at 32+4 weeks. So i asked consultant if he could help bring him on earlier. Exact words were 'Can you have a prod about when you take out stitch?' Luckily he doesn't seem to get fazed by mental soap eating pg ladies....So fingers crossed as i'm now sooooo uncomfortable and in agony that i will happily have him a few weeks early.

The only thing to show up on my urine was Leucocytes. Any idea what they are?? Asked but he just said poss water infection or maybe not....?????
