It's really weird Mygirl, but even though I could see the baby doing acrobatics on the screen, I couldn't feel anything. In fact there are some days when I feel absolutely nothing for 12 hrs. DS was the same though, so I think I have v thick skin or something! Although I am feeling quite a lot of movement at the moment, I think it's transverse.
Oinker, I will check out your thread!
Snowboo, I had someone tell me today I didn't look pg & I was quite insulted. I think I'm so huge all over I just look obese!

mygirllolipop · 07/06/2006 09:44

oinker - will have a gansy on the ttc thread
lol arabica at not feeling the mvmnts! but Angry at whoever said u didn't look pg.
any news on slink?

Arabica · 07/06/2006 10:17

It made me feel much better about all the times (like now, for example) when I can't feel a thing.
I wonder how Slink is doing. Maybe she had baby Lucifer Damien after all!!

slinkstah · 07/06/2006 14:24

nope still here!!! no damien baby last night phew!! I am getting alot of goo down there maybe a show... another one! its not as solid though as my alien snot friend i had at 27 weeks. only a few contractions though, i am confused i assumed if i walked around my cervix would fail and baby would fall out but nothing as yet!
I have had some pains in the cervix though.
is it possible to be dialated yet not be in labour?

twocats- maternity clothes have been a nightmare for me too, nothing has fitted meal the way through, i have grown out of my maternity jeans and combats and now only have a pair of collots which fit.
glad you got your wedding suit sorted, when is the big day again?

arabica- my dd has a small developmental delay she passes for all normal now though but still has a few probs. was mainly with speech and understanding and cognitive stuff, nothing physical so did not notice anything til quite late. still, she is my princess i hope if your LO does have a developmetal delay its a small one.

snowboo- glad dh is back. have you got your date for stitch removal yet? i am so huge too, i went to the market this morning and my friend said that everyone is just looking at the bump!n its like a beachball up my jumper.

diddle · 07/06/2006 14:46

Grin i'm melting, hello to everyone, now slink what on earth is going on with you?? More stories of alien like substances. I would imagine your show could come in quite a few pieces, it doesn't necessarily come at once.

Due date is tomorrow, feeling very hot and bothered, and really want baby to come now. going to see a friend tomorrow who's got a lovely cream carpet, sounds like the perfect place for my waters to break Grin
all i can think about is baby and when its going to come. aaaarrrrgggghhhhh

FN · 07/06/2006 16:48

Just popping in here firstnikki here....

Diddle good luck and all the best with the birth, hoping you don't make too much of a mess on your friends cream carpet Smile

Slink, not long now all the very best to you too you have been through something and you will soon have your baby in your arms Smile

Hope the rest of your pg ladies are doing well and looking after those bubbas. Smile

FN x

slinkstah · 07/06/2006 17:38

cream carpet mmmmm who do i know with a cream carpet???
i know what you mean diddle i expected to be a mum by now
where is my baby arghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

HellKat · 07/06/2006 17:59

Hiya all.
Diddle- Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh that's come around quickly! Go on girl, nice meesy show tomorrow right on the carpet lol.
Slink- Wow was it really 27 wks you had your alien show? God that only seems like a couple of weeks ago. Here's hoping you'll be birthing soon too.

Well 26wks tomorrow & now on a countdown. I'm trying to take it easy (well easier than my normal manic whizzing around) to lessen the risk of early labour. Not being a lazy cow though & lounging with feet up all the time, I'd get bored Wink. If this lo arrives same time as ds2 did then I've only got 8 wks left. I've been getting loads of tightenings & feel gigantic! Can't wait to find out just how big this babba will be.
Is everyone melting today? I've been munching ice lollies like they're going out of fashion & look like a proper hillbilly, trailer-trash girlie Grin. Went to the shop next door in my trackie shorts, white vest & flip flops lol (pasty white legs & all).
Have a great night all, off for a soak & get the fans going.
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

wools · 07/06/2006 18:09

Hi Ladies,

Diddle - not long now hopefully. It's so hard at this stage isn;t it...seems to drag.

Slink - it does sound like things could be happening for you - are you due to see a midwife in the next few days?

Had my Anomaly scan today - everything seems to be okay thank goodness. Had a midwife appointment straight afterwards where she told me that I don't have the rubella antibodies - I was so surprised as I know I had the injection at school (many years ago). I can't understand why this wasn't picked up on either of my last pregnancies though. She said it wasn't such a worry now as I've gone past 20 weeks although of course being the anxious type I will still be worried.

slinkstah · 07/06/2006 18:15

FN- doh preggy brain missed your post! thanks hun, miss you on this thread! hope your doing ok:)

HK- wow your 26 weeks already that has gone fast

spub · 08/06/2006 08:37

FN nice to hear from you.
Hi to Diddle, HK and Slink.
Diddle - not long to go for you, hopefully.
My elective c/s is booked for 30th June and whilst I'm dreading it, I also can't wait not to be this type of uncomfy any more!
Hi to everyone

mygirllolipop · 08/06/2006 09:11

Hi all
Diddle -D day? C'mon everyone send Diddle some 'get out safely baby' dust! Dunno how u r coping with this heat!

Arabica · 08/06/2006 10:00

C'mon Diddle's baby! We want to meet you.
And Slink's baby too.
Well done on the scan, Wools and try not to worry about the rubella, it's not a problem in later pregnancy, from what I have read.
HellKat, I think that's a very on-trend pg look, are you chanelling Britney there?
Spub, how exctiting to have your c/s date. Mine will be no later than 26 July but could be up to a fortnight before that depending on the fluid measurements.

Arabica · 08/06/2006 10:01

Hi FN nice to hear from you! Hope to see you back here soon.

spub · 08/06/2006 14:09

Arabica - LOL at "channeling Britney" . HK could also be "chavelling" Britney!

oinker · 08/06/2006 14:09

Diddle.............

GOODLUCK....

Slink.........

Any more movements..??? Wink (Preferably the baby) Wink

I really feel for you guys....It's far too hot. I think I should time my next attempt at pregnancy for winter and spring births. I could never make it in this weather.

Hugs to the rest of you guys....
HK,Mygirl,Spub, Arabica. x
Thanks for the messages glad you have not forgotten me yet!!!!
(sorry, if I missed anyone!)

SnowBoo · 08/06/2006 20:37

Diddle, sprinkling some dust your way!

Slink, any news??

I think my baby is coming early, am cleaning like a freak, had the lino from our toilet washed and hanging on the line today, sure neighbours think i'm nuts! Then took armchairs outside to wash down, scrubbed floors and then washed my hands a million times. Finished off with Hoovering, washing everything inc babies clothes, tidied ds's toys away and cooked dinner. Now in agony and told to rest! ANyone else this bad? And i'm 32 weeks tomorrow! Still getting used to the idea, i'm having a BABY.....What do you do with them?????? Panic and fear now set in big time.

HellKat · 09/06/2006 08:15

Hiya all.
yep definitely Britney-esque Wink Luckily only around the house & would never dare to venture further than the next door shop. I've been living in the most amazing maternity trousers ever invented!! White linen, huge wide legs & they have a jersey waist band (like a tshirt for a waist). They put no pressure on my bump & are amazingly cool in this heat. That coupled with strappy, long, bandeau tops seems to be my summer pg wardrobe.
Snow- I know exactly what you mean about nesting. I'm naturally a cleaning freak but yesterday was insanity. Washed my floors by hand with wipes (so they'd shine), did my toilets etc. Far too hot to be doing stuff like that.
Diddle- Any news?????????? Ohh this is exciting Grin

Still getting tightenings here (sometimes even make me breathless) so planning on mentioning that to the consultant. Can't believe I'm 26 wks & into the last trimester!

((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to Oinker & Nikki. Can't wait to have you back here. xxxxxxxx

Hiya & Hugs to everyone else.
Off to munch huge bowl of fruit salad.
Take care hunnies. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

mygirllolipop · 09/06/2006 08:56

Just checking in,
I used to be quite a cleaning freak but since I've had kids that settled down a little, I think with DD3 being quite young and needing a lot of attention I won't get my cleanliness back til DB4 is around 3! Coupled with all our stuff from a huge house now in a small house makes the place look constantly untidy!
Diddle - I know you'll be getting this from all angles but any news?
I feel silly in my mat clothes I look hugs (think it's part of wearing mat clothes) but if people ask and I have to admit I am 18wks, think I may lie to people who won't know any different!

slinkstah · 09/06/2006 10:50

hullo all
no baby yet!!
my cervix feels like its open as i can feel baby's movement up there... sorry tmi
midwife said baby was pretty much fully engaged as well so he has moved down in the last few days.
i want to wait until monday now to have baby as my midwife is going on a dirty weekend! how dare she have a life outside meeeee!!!! Grin lol there will be other midwifes available but i'd like to wait till she's back as she is nice and caring.

snowboo- i keep having realisations that im having a baby too, keep freaking myself out! seems so stupid to feel like that but omg im having a baby !!!!! whats he gonna be like and what do ya do with them !!!! [panic]
oooh and snowboo your house must be spotless! wish mine was.

i think im gonna go to the market today and get some fruit.

Arabica · 09/06/2006 10:57

I expect I will be the same (re OMG am having a baby) but not the nesting bit, I do like to be up to date with the washing, but that's about it--the rest I just tell DH to do when it's looking scuzzy. At the moment with all the building work we don't have to do much except lots of hoovering which I'm not allowed to do because of my bad back and dust allergy!

FN · 09/06/2006 11:22

slink you are still holding in there then Smile

no news from diddle on here today could be a good sign Grin

twocatsonthebed · 09/06/2006 21:55

cori · 09/06/2006 22:28
