Anyone else under 12 weeks pregnant and not told work/ friends etc yet?

Found out we were expecting #2 on Saturday, my guess is I'm 4/5 weeks...docs appointment is a week away on Monday.

Anyone else nervous but excited and under 12 weeks?

Congratulations! Having only just found out i'm expecting tonight- will be booking Docs tomorrow. Will tell my boss after that appointment (will require risk assessment for my job) but tell him to keep it quiet amongst other colleagues until 12 week scan. And yes, nervous, excited... that's me. Congratulations again!!

Im 6/7 weeks and my best friend know and the ex husband...who got me pregnant(sleeping together after splitting up....long story) But Im not telling anyone else until my scan to see if all is ok. I am gonna get judged, his family are gonna be mad at me :( Im really not looking forward to saying anything,but I want this baby sooo much so Its gonna be worth it x btw congrats to the rest of you expecting :) xxxx

I'm 6 weeks and sooo nervous about something being wrong but ridiculously excited at the same time!

I saw the doctor last week and he said for me to wait for the mw to call. Any idea on when the booking in appointment happens? X

I'm 13+6 weeks, DH and I have no intention of mentioning the pregnancy until I'm 20+ weeks and had my second scan.

Don't need to tell work until 25weeks anyway.

I think I am! Tested Saturday and think I got the faintest of lines! Waiting to test again this week but getting the twinges constantly all day today. I can think of nothing else and am impatient for a proper positive (going to use a digital later in the week).

I will tell immediate family as soon as I know and prob work after Christmas but won't want everyone to know until scan. Although there may be some pretty obvious changes at work and people may guess. How do I manage that one? They've all been waiting for it to happen!

Anyone got/used the 'Listen to Mother' service? Where you book to see a midwife and get a de-brief on your last birth. Change to find out exactly what happened incase you were off your face on gas and air like I was!!!

Yep, I'm 4-5 weeks. Bit too worried something will go wrong to be too excited yet. But it's hard knowing I'm going to have to go through christmas not telling anyone, feels like lying every time I see someone and don't tell them, so I'm using online and the anc thread on here as an outlet. I haven't got any sickness this time yet, but if I do, it will be hard to cover up when staying with family so I'm nervous about that.

Not heard of that mcbobby is it nationwide? I'm booking in to a nhs funded private midwifery service so I'll ask about that when they come to my home this week.

Not sure if it is nationwide or not. Some authorities may offer the service under a different name?

I too am trying not to get too excited and am more worried something will go wrong than the first time, mainly because I've since had a coil fitted and then removed after two years in order to conceive. So a little anxious incase that has caused any problems. Bizarre that I am waiting for my morning sickness so at least I know it's all happening which means it's all ok!

Oooh dave they have that near here I think (on the Wirral) I tried to book in today and because of my pre-eclampsia and pre-term labour with DD I'm being allocated a consultant.

I'm 4 weeks today (based on lmp but 4+3 actual) and confessed to my family on Sat, how sad is it that one fizzy drink at dinner leads to immediate questioning?
My Dad offered me wine, runny eggs, prawns and mulled wine before he came out and asked when the baby was due!

I'm about 7 weeks with DC1 and have told family and 2 close friends. I have a dilemma though, I work in a work-hard drink-hard culture and always enjoy a good night out. I've already been clocked not drinking and have 10 more days of parties and nights out. I look really well (one of the few bloomers it seems) and my boons are 2 sizes bigger already. I might as well be wearing a neon sign. I've booked in for early scan tomorrow. Should I just fess up after that or brazenly lie knowing its blatant?
Any ideas?

I am about 7 weeks with #2. I have managed a weekend with family without anyone guessing. Did the driving so I didn't have to drink, and took a half glass of wine at lunch to throw people off the scent. I have our works Christmas Lunch this Thursday, and having gone on about how much I was looking forward to a boozy afternoon, not sure how I am going to deal with it.

I've had 2 MC since DD was born, so I have no intention of telling anyone until I have to, certainly not before 12 week scan, and given I am over the age of 40, will probably be scanned again, so may wait until 20 weeks.

Only problem is my norks are getting massive already!

I had to tell work pretty much immediately as it affects the work I can do, so I also told close family as I don't like the idea of work knowing and them not. I went with the thought that if the worse happened, I would need time off work and support with my DD, so they would find out anyway. The idea of waiting until 20 weeks would be impossible for me, not to mention that it would be completely flipping obvious with my belly hanging out already, lol! Happily at 13+1 all is well x

Me too! I'm 4/5 weeks in with DC2, and have only told the husband so far.

We will tell people (family, work) before the 12 week point because last preg ended at 12 weeks with mmc and I want people to be aware of the mildly (!) stressful situation we are in, get extra support with crazy two-year old son - AND so I can get risk assessment done at work early - better safe than sorry!

Hi congratulations everyone, I'm 8 +6 with #2, work know but only because my mam owns the salon I work in and my sister is my boss.

Trying desperately to get to my scan on the 27th before telling everyone but I'm really struggling to hide the very obvious bump I already have. Doesn't help we've been married 2 month so we both keep getting asked when will you have #2? Feels awful lying when I actually want to say July 2013 lol

I'm really worrying about christmas, it's all such bad timing. I have 2 big nights out with lots of friends left to do, within walking distance of home so no driving excuse... So will do the alcohol free beer trick and work the next day again for that and hope for the best. But the few days with family, oh god, my mum always buys me a cheese board and lots of beer specially. I might have to cut bits off and throw them away, what a waste!

I had my 20 week scan today & will ring my family tonight with the news.

Congratulations to everyone! I keep getting scared because I just dont feel pg - no weeing alot, no sore boobs am tired but also a ft working mum to a 1 year old...last time I was weeing loads, sore boobs, exhausted and cramping at this stage.

I have only told my manger and a very close friend at work, (both of them have been sworn to secrecy, until my 12 week scan) although I think everyone at work has guessed as I have been quite ill and off sick in between as well :/ I hate lying to them as its also put my friend in an awkward position as everyone has been asking her if I am ok? and why am I off sick? :/

I'm 7 weeks & have told my sister & my best friend. I had to tell work straight away as I have to change roles while pregnant. It's really weird that people at work know (mind you, they don't really know me!) before everyone who matters to me!

I want to tell my parents face to face so when they come over for Christmas we're going to tell them. There is no way I'd be able to dupe my whole family while they stay in my house over Christmas!
